Steve and Lu’s is my absolute favorite diner in this area of New York. I’ve now moved out of state, but I still make a stop here when I’m in town. Why? The service is great and the food is always delicious. This tiny establishment has a good number of tables given its size, but it does fill up quickly on the weekends! If it’s your first visit, try some of their homemade hot sausage. It has a spicy kick and is neither dry nor greasy. I also recommend their pancakes, which are large and fluffy with yummy crisp edges. Whenever I order eggs over medium, they come out cooked perfectly. Their breakfast specials are good deals… during my last visit I ordered a $ 6 special that came with two eggs, two pancakes, two slices of bacon, and coffee. Another special($ 5) featured hot sausage, home fries, two eggs, and two large pieces of toast. Awesome prices for food that will keep you running for hours!

This morning I had the pleasure of eating a wonderful breakfast at this little local diner. It is a quaint, older restaurant but it is very clean and lovingly run. I didn’t plan on eating my entire breakfast special of two blueberry pancakes, two eggs and two strips of bacon, but my taste buds said«go for it». Delicious! The whole deal with coffee included was $ 7.95. Wait… what? Yes, indeed. And the good service was an added bonus. The atmosphere was cozy with many locals chatting with each other and some music playing in the background. They had to close early due to being shorthanded… one of their employees was having her baby! Congratulations on the new member of the family and a job well done.

Good coffee. Friendly staff. Our breakfast would have been more satisfying if they hadn’t run out of regular sausage. I tried the hot sausage instead and boy was it spicy hot. I’m sure others would love it. Eggs were done fine and my husbands omelette was good. My boy thought his bacon, egg, cheese sandwich was just OK.

DINER. So, even as a local, I was never sure when/if they were open, so one day we just gave it a shot. In this area, we are blessed by many great diners to choose from, but some of them get pretty crowded. Steve and Lu’s is never too crowded to get a seat, service is fast and friendly, the coffee is coffee and their food is very good. We generally stick to breakfast and have had great luck with the omelettes, the egg specials, the pancakes and the french toast. They have homemade sausage patties which we usually get. Prices are diner cheap so you can afford to come back often. We like the vibe here.

Great food! Service was exceptional, staff are very friendly and attentive. Building needs some work though. Will definitely stop again if in the area.

This place makes you feel welcome when you arrive and satisfied when you leave. Prices are great and it’s just a few miles from Greek Peak and Hope Lake Lodge.

What a find! This place looked ordinary on the outside. Inside it was homey and the breakfast omelette was delicious, the home fries were the best I have had. The waitress was very nice. And the prices were very reasonable. Sure beats Denny’s.
