Bee Natural Honey

How far would you travel for buckwheat honey? If you are a regular consumer, going to Homestead does not seem too far. Plus, you have a nice excuse to drop by Robert Is Here for a milkshake (and compare the price of buckwheat honey there — about 50% cheaper at Bee Natural!)
Like mangosteen or acai, buckwheat honey seems to have acquired a reputation for being a natural (organic) food for healthy living, in this case, a natural boost of antioxidants. I do not claim to know if these benefits are real or provable, but, claims aside, eating honey has its own merits! Actually, the taste of buckwheat honey isn’t sweet, but strong — molasses strong.
Bee Natural is actually a mail order business, but we lucky South Floridians can get it direct. In addition to buckwheat, they have all sorts of honeys available (see their cool website for more details). If you do go, call ahead of time and let them know you are coming and which honeys you are interested in; the last time we went, there was no one around the seemingly desolate warehouse area (a little spooky). Eventually, someone walked by and we yelled at them enough for them to come over and see what we wanted.
