So my entire family and some friends decided to take a field trip to this farm and we were soo amazed of how well kept and beautiful this banana farm was. The owners are extremely sweet and of course highly educated. My father wanted to come and check out the different varieties of bananas which we were surprised of how many kinds there were! They also let us try the different kinds they had available which they were all delicious and sweet! Their prices are pretty good and they also educate you on what the tree needs if you take it home. If you are in the area or need some good banana trees then you need to come here!

I am literally gOinG BaNaNaS over this awe-inspiring characteristic Banana Farm! The sweetest and most charming owner, Don was the utmost welcoming with our arrival! While taking a Girls Day Roadtrip my friend had this place bookmarked as she really wanted a Banana Tree. Being that I absolutely LOVE Bananas I said lets do it! We pulled up the drive to find a gated entrance and to ring the bell to enter! One of the cutest entries and the beginning of our Amazing Banana Adventure! Don greeted us immediately once stepping out of the car at the Banana Headquarters and asked what we were looking for. Immediately we were both captivated by Don’s bountiful knowledge! He gave us a full tour of his Banana Farm that he owns with his wife Katie. Their Banana Farm is absolutely majestic with acres and acres of Banana Trees ranging in so many different kinds, flavors, and sizes! Don will let you sample each and every kind of banana that he has so you know exactly what Banana Tree you would like to take home. Much more than Bananas you will find here. Among the acres you will also come across Lychee Trees, Logan Trees, Papaya and Mango Trees, Coconuts, and more! We also got to meet the little fur babies of the Farm; Nelo the Pup, and Sofi the Kitty! Such a homey all around experience that gives you that warm tingly feeling! If you want to become a Banana Expert, Don will teach you anything and everything there is to know about Bananas! You want to plant your Banana Trees(if planting more than one) every 8 feet away from each other. Once your Banana Tree is about a year old you will start to get Flowerings that take about 4 ½ months to go through the Banana Making Process. Sprinkling Banana Seeds around your yard will make you a very lucky person if you send wishes to the Banana Gods, seriously! Bananas have many different varieties in which taste very very unique and robust. These are not your local Supermarkets Bananas! — Going Bananas is Certified and Licensed. — They are currently closed on Sunday’s & Thursday’s but will take special appointments if you call ahead. — Shipping is available — You can purchase Banana Blend Fertilizer from the Farm. — Pricing is extremely reasonable on everything from Plants to Single Fruit Purchases! — - — - — - CASHONLY — — - — - — For a One of a Kind BaNaNaLoVe Tour and Experience GOINGBANANAS is an immediate MUST Visit! We love visiting Going Bananas! Don is a great guy and will happily give you a little tour around the 5 acre property on his golf cart. Beyond the amazing and infinite banana varieties he also has a large variety or fruit trees and and plants that he will shed light on as well(and often let you sample if they are ripe). I have purchased 3 different banana plants over the past year and a half from here and they have done so well in my garden! Don gives simple, easy to understand care instructions that are pretty much fool proof. Now I have a yard full of amazing bananas!

Finally got to visit in person. Previously I would just see and purchase their banana trees at plant sales. Today I decided to make the one hour drive and it did not disappoint. We were warmly greeted, My family and I were shown around the property, all questions I had were answered, and there was a good variety of bananas to sample. Even walked away with some avocados and bananas to take home. This place is solely responsible for my growing banana collection.

The land is huge and there are so many varieties of fruits available! Don was nice enough to give us a tour and let us try all the bananas to help us chose a variety that would satisfy our needs. We ended up taking a few plants home which were a great price and he explained all of the care needed and was more than happy to have us call him if we ever came into trouble. Great business and I will be more than happy to recommend it to others. Make sure you call before going and bring cash or a check!

Did you know there are sweet bananas, sugar acid, and sugar starchy? Did you know there are 3 foot plants to 12 foot plants? Did you know there are plants just for decoration? Did you know that the bananas at the grocery store look pathetic once you see the variety available? If you’re looking for a real banana, check out«Going Bananas.» It really is simply someone’s large backyard so please be respectful when you visit. You ring to be let in. I’d recommend calling ahead to be sure of hours too. I am so glad I made the trek out there to Redland, though. It was worth it. Don’t go Friday midday, though. All the farmer’s market vendors were buying their produce, and the owner was inundated. However, he tried to patiently show us through the different types of bananas and help us pick out the right plant. When they finally all left, he took us on the tour of the grounds, much of it not a part of the nursery but his hobby. It was so beautiful and peaceful. We bought a few plants and also some bananas to take home. The owner was very kind and knowledgeable. I’d highly recommend checking it out for the fruit or banana plants for sale.
