Homestead Miami Speedway

We were not at the Speedway during a race but rather while on vacation, we took a chance to go by to see what it looked like. Boy were we lucky! The day we got there, we were greeted openly and told to park in the front under the shade. (We were on motorcycles and the shade was a welcome relief.)
The two fellows in the front entrance were so welcoming and friendly. We stood and talked to them for awhile telling them where we were from and what we had seen. We asked about a special favor and was told that wasn’t possible but then we were granted our request and it was a dream come true. Suffice it to say, we were allowed a wonderful experience of taking pictures and roaming around the place to get a good feel for it. It was so very exciting.

This past Sunday was lots of fun at the speedway. Went by with a friend with our boys. The boys had an awesome time looking at cars and playing in the bouncy houses which were available to help the autism cause. They also had some food trucks at the event and Bumblee was there to say hello. The car staffs where super cool and friendly. They made sure to let the boys get on the cars for pictures. We had a great time and all for a great cause.

Homestead speedway is a cool place to hang out on Friday nights. They have legal racing and anyone who has an insured car and license is able to race as long as they sign a waiver. You can also bring your own cooler for alcohol and non alcoholic drinks. Sometimes there’s some pretty cool classic and street cars but mainly regular cars you see on the streets that just want to test their limits. It’s safe and fun for everyone including families with small children, just bring some earplugs for them. I’ve been here for there Nascar racing events to and it’s pretty fresh but I’m honestly more into drag racing. Still all events here are heart pounding great entertainment. I think everyone should experience a race at least once in their lifetime.

This place is Jen heaven. I’ve come to Homestead for the past nine Nascar championship races (the race name has changed in the past, most currently called the Ford 400.) I love the views, the stands are always clean, and the vendors are always plentiful. I’ll come back to this track every year as long as my Nascar race runs here!

We have been going here for several years now, and we sit in the Speedway Club level. There used to be waitress service, however that has gone away. Just like the cleanliness. This year we were very disappointed. Our seats had cobwebs, bird doo doo and last years food all over them. Though the restrooms were clean and maintained all day, lookout for hazards outside of them. I almost kicked some sharp rusty metal while standing nearby (I was wearing sandals). Not to mention the vendors power cords laying all over the place. I’m sure osha would have a field day here. Especially with the broken elevator my handicap Mother had to wait on. And if you do get hurt and need first aid you need to look through the crowd to find paramedics on a side by side orv. There is a first aid station on the map, but I couldn’t find it. I gave it 2 stars only because we love nascar.

Love, love, love this track. We got tickets on the Front Stretch, section 235. Awesome seats!!!
They had the Fanatics store set up. First thing we got were ponchos ($ 5), because it was pouring outside. We also got a couple of hats ($ 24.99 each) I got the #4 camo hat.
The entrance part and check bags point was smooth, only thing was we had to give away our umbrella, they did not allow them inside. So, we just left it on the side, hoping it would be there when we left but with 80,000 fans, we didn’t get it back. I like that they allow you to bring a 14×14×14 cooler.
They had an array of foods and drinks. Domestic beer was $ 7. We had some Arepas for $ 6. They also had subs, pretzels, hot dogs, chicken, all for a reasonable price.
We got the scanners and headsets. I would recommend you do that because otherwise it can get boring.
Seats are comfortable and quite big unlike some other venues I’ve been to. Mostly because they know you will be sitting for hours!
Parking is free, that’s a plus!
This was Jeff Gordon’s last race, he is retiring from racing. Kyle Busch won the Championship… wish it would of been Kevin Harvick but… there’s always next year! #4TheRace

Since childhood this is my favorite sport, super excite, here today with my sister and my two nephews, enjoy this special day in the history of the Nascar, the best of luck to Jeff Gordon! !! ;)

What else can you say when you get to watch Kevin Harvick win his first championship? Great family atmosphere, great time and great racing.

It’s nice to be at this track for CCS Racing because it’s not super crowded. There’s no traffic driving in and no lines to use the restrooms. The garages can be quite hot during the summer months, but at least it keeps the sun off of us. Two complaints would be that I wish there’s more food than hot dogs, burgers and chips (maybe there are more options for Nascar races. I don’t know, I’ve never been to one here), and that the speakers would work better (breaks off at times and muffled inside the garages). Aside from those, the grounds are clean and the restrooms are clean, mostly.

My first time at the speedway for the nascar championship race! It’s loud and exhilarating and loud. Bring earplugs !!
Parking is free which is nice after the 40 min drive from miami. There are lots of food options because it seems the vendors are private so it’s not typical boring and overpriced stadium food.

Not a place one would expect to find me, which makes it all the more fun. I bought bf an experience here for his birthday about eight months ago and yesterday was the redeem date. We’re both a couple of snobs in our own way and for sure didn’t expect to become as giddy as we did when the track came into sight and we pulled into the lot.
We had a great time! His appointment for ride along was in the last group of the evening. Honestly I was impressed with how efficient and smooth the system was (with respect to the queue)…the staff seemed well trained. His ride was fantastic!
It’s a great gift idea for anyone who digs speed… and after all, who doesn’t?!

Have been to four Ford 400’s here. This track is so much louder than Daytona. After a few laps the cars are so spread out that it is a constant roar that makes conversations impossible. Make sure to bring ear protection.
The traffic gets pretty backed up and can be a real hassle. This is probably the worst aspect of the track. There is plenty of parking and room to tailgate.
Overall a good track experience.

NASCAR championship race was fantastic!!!
I just wish the facility was as good.
Let me start by saying that I have been to over 50 tracks and hundreds of NASCAR races over the years as well as F1, SCCA, modifieds, etc.
The track itself is great.
But, the traffic management is ridiculous! You are funneled in through limited entrance points, creating much longer entry times than what the infrastructure of roads can handle and are designed for. Maybe it was because of the extra security for the 1^st and 2^nd ladies, but on previous visits, it wasn’t much better.
The next really big issue is vending. We had great seats at the very start of turn 1. But, the powers that be decided that there should be more beer vendors than you could count, but only one food vendor for a that whole end of the track!!! You could wait in line for, purchase and drink three or four beers, before you could get a hot dog!!! 45 minutes plus to get food, less than 5 minutes to get beer!!!
Did they forget that you can bring in your own beverages to NASCAR races!!! lmfao
In a sport that they usually don’t miss out on any revenue opportunity, the host facility really misses the mark here!!!

saw my first live Ford 200 truck race… and brought the wife and my daughter.
very nice track… facilities all nice. lots of parking.
you can bring in small coolers (everybody we saw all seemed to buy the same coleman one from walmart that we had… lol)
but if u dont like sitting on metal bleachers bring a cushion…
and use earplugs or some kind of ear protetction if u dont like REALLY LOUD ENGINES.
but all in all we had a blast!

I’ve been here for several events and races and each experience is terrific. The staff is helpful and the venue is always well-​kept.
Maybe it’s the ambiance, but I can’t imagine anyone not enjoying themselves when they visit this track, regardless of what they’re there for.

This is a great facility! I’ve been to the Ford 400 a couple times and had a good time. They are good at crowd control and had a lot of interesting things to see and do. Throughout the year there are always a lot of other events held at the Speedway. You can enjoy everything from car shows to motorcycle racing at this track. I am happy to have it so close to home.

I have been here for many different events: Koni, Ford Challenge, Ferrari Challenge, Indy, etc. Each event makes the experience here different, but it is a good venue for a variety of races. The mixed course is the most fun when watching Koni — plus it’s during my favourite time of year here (late spring), almost no traffic or crowds.
The food concessions provided by the Speedway are basic, and expensive as most venues are, however fans are allowed to bring in food and drinks for most events. Make sure that you only bring in small, soft-​sided coolers as the large or hard-​cased coolers will not be allowed in.
As Michelle mentioned, getting here can be a nightmare for big events. Try looking up the back roads (i.e. not through Speedway Blvd or the Turnpike) to find a way in with less traffic.

We are car people.
Our daughter will get it from both sides of the family.
And she will spend a certain mid November weekend with her Papa Rick at the track every year. Grandpa Rick goes down a week early to park the RV in a «good spot». We fry turkeys and invite anyone cool. (Cool– people who follow NASCAR)
Lots of carnival food to eat.
Lots of stuff to buy.
Great people watching (Rednecks love to wear stuff they shouldn’t.)
And all this before the race begins.
***Tip — Buy the headset where you can tune into your favorite teams as they race!
If you are local, learn the back roads. Traffic can get bad going to and from if you use the turnpike. Use the roads behind the track that take you up towards Black Point. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, then you’re not cool.
