LongHorn Steakhouse

Very short and sweet. NOT Impressed! Went there for dinner with the family last night waited about 15 mins to be sat. The host was very nice. Once sat server basically came up and simply asked «What do you wanna drink?» No hello, no menu info, very slack. We ordered our drinks first… they came pretty fast then we placed our order. Pace of food was good. I ordered the flat iron steak and it was on point. Overall the visit was Meh!!! But the food was good! I will continue to visit since I’m definitely a carnivore and it’s the closest steak house in Homestead.

I gave LH another chance. We were greeted by a young man who was very nice and accommodating. Our server quickly came over and offered drinks. Soon after, dinner was ordered. My husband and I ordered steaks. They were cooked to perfection. Thank you, chef! The bread was delicious. Caesar salad was just fine. Everything was just perfect. The only thing we didn’t like was how loud the restaurant was, especially at 5:30pm. It is a family environment though, so expect beautiful screaming children.

The food here is hit or miss, sometimes it’s excellent other times it’s just okay. I’ve dined at this location many times and I have to say, the service is always great!

Great food great atmosphere GREAT SERVICE by our server Celeste she was wonderful got us out drinks super fast and our food even faster. I definitely recommend this restaurant and ask for Celeste you won’t regret it.

What a great place to come to enjoy quality food and quality service. Had a outlaw ribeye cooked to perfection, our server Celeste was amazing. Very attentive, and never let our cups go empty. If you want a good steak stop by and you won’t be disappointed

I’m giving them 2 stars because although the service was great and the food was perfect we had an issue with other patrons. We complained to the manager and she tried to convince us that she could not tell the gentleman at the table 10 feet away from us to lower his voice. This man was shouting and cussing the entirety of our dinner. Not only was he shouting but he was shouting about violent things like fights and shooting things. I was so upset I did not finish my food and decided to leave. Honestly, a manager should be aware of something like that going on in the middle of their restaurant and take care of it before a customer has to bring it to their attention.

Very subpar food. The parmesan crusted hockey was covered in mozzarella cheese which made it very bland. The corkscrew Mac and cheese had way too much «bacon» in it which was almost all just fat.
The grilled chicken dish was ok as was the burger. So not worth the money
On a positive note the service was fantastic.

Oh where shall I begin, first off we haven’t been here in a couple of years & after last night we were quickly reminded as to why! We chose to come here because one my hubby is a carnivore & second we wanted to be close to home, so this was it unfortunately. We were seated promptly which we were fooled to think was a good sign, after I received my margarita on the rocks being served like a martini I knew to get ready to be entertained because our server had no idea what she was doing as well as the bartender. My hubby had a mohitto which he said was fine, he just needed an extra shot on side for round two because it was a little syrupy.
As for the food, it was great really no complaints but next time please bring bread out when waiting for apps rather than having your table watch as the waitress is standing to the side chatting it up while we’re sitting there with nada on the table! Then when someone else brings the bread after asking them & they are giving us the notorious oven excuse, all I could do was look at them & ask why is this my problem? Please tell me, I thought I was coming here to be waited on not to have to be giving excuses for extremely poor service. Well after the apps arrive which were good & I’m boxing them because we love leftovers the server is standing there with soup & salad in hand & nowhere to put it because I’m still boxing, all I could do was ask where do you plan on putting that, really who in the hell hired you is all I can ask! Ok so we are now done with that drama or so I thought but no that was really the beginning, really it was because just as I put the crackers on my soup well here comes our lovely entrees, now are you really serious or has Ashton Kutcher made it down to Homestead to punk us because this is beyond ridiculous!!!
All I could do now was laugh from sheer anger as I’m ready to boil over, which at this point is when the wonderful manager Jennifer walks over to see what’s happening. But no I’m not finished there because mind you they bring my hubby’s NY strip out without the specified carmalized onions on top as he requested which was now another debate as to why in the hell would you bring out an unfinished entrée & as Jennifer is listening to our endless beyond endless complaints here walk out the onions & MUSHROOMS, you heard me, yes mushrooms, when we specifically said no mushrooms because hubby is allergic, I just looked at Jennifer & said come on really I’m beyond done with this, just stick a fork in me because this has now gone beyond excusable. All I could say is Jennifer was beyond accommodating & understanding, she seems like she truly cares about the customers & their needs but she has got to get servers like that off the damn floor because she knew nothing about waiting on tables, nothing! Food good, Jennifer awesome but service beyond sucked!!!

Decent food. Great service always at this location. We will be back!

As always great food! Our waiter jack was awesome excellent waiter… The food was fantastic, but I gotta say the service was outstanding. Been here before but this time the service was 5 stars!!!

The food and drinks were surprisingly really good. Went with my BF to have drinks to catch up. Ate at the bar and waiter was great. Will definitely be back when I want to stay close to home for quick drinks and apps

The food is the same as every Longhorn and you can look at my reviews and see that I am a fan of Longhorn.
This night they were short staffed and we were waited on by the manager.
She was GREAT!
She is the whole reason for five stars.

Was not impressed on the least service was OK. The steak though came out prefect. But serviced lacked.

Our server Roger was amazing… our food, not so much. We ordered the porterhouse for 2, the signature potatoes au gratin & steamed asparagus… everything was literally raw. Cold & raw. yes, raw. Our longhorn sampler appetizer was super amazing though. Very accomodating keeping the shrimp in a separate bowl because of a shellfish allergy. The gm visited our table after the raw steak fiasco, then we had a flurry of servers taking food, bringing food. Basically… we ate asparagus. steak came back. We ate steak. Then the macaroni & cheese came out (ill pass on a take 2 for the potatoes they were disgusting). The steak was very good. it came back perfect the 2^nd time
The rest… the sides suck. To their credit, they more than compensated for the tragedy of errors that was our dinner. We remained calm & just chocked it up to an alternate universe situation. I want to give a low star count… but the steak was that good & the attention taken to apologize & make the situation right makes up for a cold, kinda crappy meal.

All the positive reviews about this place are trur.
We went there and tasted the good fresh meat, the lovely cocktails and the hot jalapenos apetizers. Must do while in Homestad.

As far as Long Horn Steak houses go, this sits squarely in the middle. Nothing to brag about, but not bad either. It was packed at 8 pm on a Friday so we sat at the bar. My steak was fantastic. But it had a lingering effect that eliminated my constipation for a few days.
My wife, well that’s a totally different story. It didn’t taste as good as she likes. And three hours later she was giving her offerings to the porcelain gods. It wasn’t the half of a rum runner she drank, it was the steak. We know it was the food that caused this vile reaction. So word to the wise, if the taste is off, send it back.

Poor Service. I am actually sitting at the table writing this. We have been here for over an hour and still no entrée. (Med Rare steaks). We ordered an appetizer that came out 40 minutes later. I told the food walker I wasn’t paying for it. The manager came over and apologized. For what? I’m still waiting another 45 min for med rare steaks! I’ve been to this location twice and both times the food times were atrocious. The server took the appetizer dish that had my husbands fork on it so he asked another waiter that was standing there for silverware. His response «I don’t have any» and walked away! WTF. Have given this place a second try. Won’t be coming back for a 3^rd. A tip: go to the Olive Garden next door.

I have been to this Longhorn about ten times over the past three years. I stay at the. Hampton down the street during the winter months when the Key West hotels charge an exorbitant amount of money for a hotel room.
The price of the food is a little pricey for what you get. The steaks are priced on par with just about every other chain steakhouse, but everything else is way over priced. There is NOTHING on the dinner menu for less that $ 10. A plain cheeseburger is $ 10.99. I usually get chicken but it seems like the chicken is very fatty and the portions are very small.
They have a nice happy hour, which lends some affordability, but overall, it is priced high. I usually sit at the bar and the service has always, always been slow. I don’t know what the bartenders are doing, but they spend more time in the kitchen (or not behind the bar) than serving drinks. Average restaurant in a very-​below-​average restaurant area.

Suuupergut! Für deutsche Verhältnisse nicht mal fast teuer (8oz Filet plus zwei Sides für 23 $) und dabei sooo gut! Das Fleisch war auf den Punkt gebraten und butterzart. Auch das Ribeye war toll, die Süßkartoffel mit Zimt der Hammer, genauso wie das knusprige Honigbrot.
Wir fanden es superlecker und kommen gern wieder! Service top!

The food was good and the waitress was ok.
The food was pricey, but well deserve for working hard.
My filet cut steak was everything.

Décor was above average for Longhorn’s. Outlaw Ribeye was perfectly done and delivered in a timely manner. The sweet potato side did not have the advertised cinamon. Wife’s mojito was good and large. The warm honey flavored bread was moist and delicious.
Service was the spoiler. Our server appeared to be the bartender. Hard to find and he was very busy.
Overall, good food, great décor and poor service. Worth going to if you want good steak in Homestead area.
