Publix Super Markets

I have two Publix’s near my house but I always choose this one. Every time I order subs online they are ready on point. Service here is good. The food is fresh, the cashiers are friendly and shopping there is really always a pleasure. They always have awesome buy one get one. And the best thing ever is that they take all coupons. Parking is easy too. What’s not to like? Too bad I can’t say the same thing about the other Publix on 312 and US1. It’s like night a day. Corporate needs more calibration among their neighboring stores.

This Publix store is the closest to my house, so it’s super convenient and easy to stop in and just get what I need without getting off my path.
It’s not the biggest Publix warehouse store in the area, but it’s adequate and they provide a great service. Publix ranks really high in customer service, in fact they are a nation-​wide leading chain and many other stores follow them.

The Staff are very helpful and the store is clean. Great Produce selection and the Sushi selection Varies which I think is a good thing :)

This review is strictly for the pharmacy. I swear every time I go to the drive through to pick up my RX it takes an extremely long time-​unnecessarily long time. I used to use Walgreens before I moved here, and I NEVER ever waited this long to pick up an rx. Ever. The thing that irks me the most is, there isnt even a line, it’s usually just me-​and I stare in the window with the «hello is anyone going to help me face» and they don’t even acknowledge you! Maybe if they would take two seconds to say «hi, I’m currently working on this-I’ll be right with you» I wouldn’t be so annoyed. I usually wait about 10 minutes, and then I’ll ring the bell to see if maybe they just didn’t notice I was there in the first place. But no– they know I’m there, and they kind of just give me a ride look like why the hell are you ringing the bell… super annoying. Also I’m currently writing this as I’m sitting here waiting for someone to help me. Seriously-​get your act together pharmacy! It’s ridiculous. I need to switch ASAP

This review is strictly for the deli. Publix deli on NE 8^th St has to be the slowest deli in history. They all move at a absolute snails pace. Not only that but they never listen to you. I need a pound of American cheese. Please, don’t put that annoying paper in between ever slice, so they do it any way. Ask for a half pound of something get a pound. Get it together people, it’s not rocket science.

Carlos, a manager here, was cocky and rude when i asked him if the store would stop selling live lobster. I politely explained it is extreme cruelty to animals. He went on a wild rant to distract from the issue and was very disrespectful to me, a customer with groceries in my cart.
Although Publix store managers have the power to stop selling the live lobster, which other Pulix stores have, this man and a previous manager said they didn’t.
My experience here makes me think that if you have a concern and it makes the managers nervous they will make you feel like a second class citizen. I felt swept out the door even though I was polite.
Note to Carlos: If you stop selling the live lobster NOW, I will gladly remove this review and put 5 stars.

The reason this is getting 4 stars is for the verity of health food items that are hard to find in other stores. Like today I found quest bars 2 for $ 4 you won’t find that anywhere. Also all the other bars like cliff and Lara are very cheap. I like that u can buy them in singles so u can try them out first. They also have a verity of milk substitutes like cashew with chocolate and rice milk. I was also happy to see dairy free ice cream which I have trouble finding around my area. Even if it’s a very small size it’s better than nothing for that late night sweet tooth. Hope they keep it up. It would be 5 stars but it’s a little pricey on other regular non sale items.

Just average. Nice that they have beer and wine. Not so in PA. Very small produce section. Staff friendly and helpful

i love publix but nothing ticks me off worse than a deli that doesnt use a «take a number» system. if i wanted the brandsmart loading dock experience, i’d go there.
the deli here has a take a number system but they dont use it for the hot food or sandwich side despite it being physically part of the same area. if you want a sandwich, it’s up to you to play line nazi and make sure nobody skips you a’la winn dixie style.

Love my neighborhood publix! It’s always very clean at this location. Cashiers are extremely friendly. I’ve had bag boys/​girls assist me to the car and they have all been pleasant. Always a good experience… which is why I sometime pay more to shop here.

I live right next to this publix, fantastic employees, bakery, sushi and quality products. Only ever used the pharmacy once due to Walgreens being next door but they where prompt and nice. Every week deli has a meat on special so heads up.

Publix is expensive but the place is always clean and stocked. The employees are also very helpful.

Good selection, typical Publix experience. Clean store and convenient to hotels. That’s about it.

The produce often goes bad within 1 day or is already moldy.
The dairy products are often long expired.
They often fail to put all of my groceries in my cart.
A cashier once fought with me over scanning my grapes twice. I saw her scan it a second time after she stopped to chat with a stock clerk. I then brought to her attention that it was done twice. The easy solution would be to just remove it. She responded to me defensively and was adamant about not scanning it twice. I had to ask again to have it removed. I really don’t give a care as to WHY or HOW, but I shouldn’t have to ask twice to have an item removed that I’m not purchasing. Arrrgg!
These are things that I’ve grown to check myself since they happen so often. This is the most aggravating place to grocery shop on the face of the planet.

I totally love this Publix. It’s convenient and always clean. Great variety of fresh produce and the key lime pie is my absolute favorite. When I don’t have time for cooking, I get the Turkey Wrap that is delicious. Customer service is very good. Fast cashiers. =)

This is one of the better Publix in the area. I drive past the Publix on US 1 to get to this one. They have ready made pizza dough in the bakery section that is pretty good. They also have a little better beer selection. They carry Pacifico… good stuff.

This is my local Publix like 5 minutes from my house and boy i do love them!!! Super freindly and helpful service. Great subs and fried chicken :) and never long lines. (prob because its in homestead… lol) I really have nothing else to say about them…
