I’ve a heard of this place a lot. On a Monday I decided to visit, expecting a unique experience coming from a winery. Starting of I want you to know that the server has nothing to do with the review. Ok now for the rest: 1.We sat on a table and decided to order from the menu(lunch menu). My mom ordered a burger, my dad order something like a fish salad, my fiancé ordered fish tacos, and I ordered a turkey mushroom meatloaf. We waited for the food around 45 – 50 minutes, if I would’ve never approached the server and asked about our food, we would still be waiting. The food was not hot, the burger was burned, the salad the fish burned, my meatloaf burnt and from fish TACOS to ONE taco?! Really? Oh and in order to make the OnLY fish taco partof the fish had to be taken from the salad that it was ordered(There was only around 7 or 8 people including us, the place was not full). 2. We decided while waiting for the food, to order a couple of drinks. On the beer menu there’s a 4 tasting from the brewery table side(they didn’t have it) from a list of 5 beers only 2 where available. 3. When I asked for the check, usually at restaurants they have the little black pad, yeah it was just a paper handed that fell on the floor after handed and I had to pick up. It may sound lazy but usually when that happens the server says«I’m sorry“and makes sure to hand it to you on your hand. What an unfortunate experience, for such a gorgeous place.

My first time here, and I can’t believe this place has gone off my radar so long. They have there own wine, their own craft beers and food. This place is great, with a kid friendly atmosphere. When busy you can expect delay in food service but overall a great experience with live music regularly on the weekends. The kids were busy playing corn hole and ping pong while the adults played in their own way. Love this place.

Went here on a Saturday afternoon and was entirely confused by the purpose of this place. Maybe it’s because I’m not a huge wine person, but the establishment charges a $ 10 cover charge per person just to walk in — the wine tastings are above $ 60, unless you find a good deal on Groupon. The fish pond is nice! And you get to buy them food for $ 2, which can be pretty entertaining. It is very pretty, however, I don’t understand the fuss about this place. I may need to opt for a wine tour next time to make a better judgment.

Hidden gem off the back roads of Homestead spread out across a beautiful estate! Definitely a unique winery overall and breathtaking as soon as you get out of your car. The property boasts large tiki huts, waterfalls, ponds and perfectly manicured landscape that you can’t help but enjoy. Take advantage of the wine tasting because you won’t experience these wines anywhere else. Luckily for us the guy behind the bar was detailed about each wine and what kind of flavors to expect with every tasting. Bonus — You get to keep your glass for a souvenir and bring it back for a discounted price in tasting next time! Tours are available on weekends ONLY. Great way to learn the history behind the owners, property and the way they came about making grape-less wine! The winery has a small selection of cheese, crackers, beverages other than wine and a limited Lunch & Dinner menu available. Or if you’re looking for a more casual selection of food, check the brewery out back. Miami Brewery Company is located on the same property and offers a laid back outdoor bar feel. Highly recommend making your way to the brewery at some point and continuing your outing! Both properties are definitely great for a weekend day activity or evenings when they have live music every Friday — Sunday. Good place to bring a group for a special occasion, out of town visitors or just to enjoy the day. Will definitely be back and will share the secret of the Southernmost winery in the country!

I first found out about this place via Groupon. There was a wine tasting special going on. I’ve never been to Homestead before so the drive down was pretty cool. I haven’t seen any rural spots when I moved to Florida so it was refreshing to see farmland. When we got there, there was a big building with a restaurant inside. We first checked in at the front desk then proceeded to the bar. We were greeted by the bartender and she explained how the process works. She gave us each a wine glass and a peice of paper listing the different types of wines you could try. You’re allowed to choose 5 or 6 tastings. My favorites were the hurricane, avocado infused, and lychee infused. After wine tasting, we went outside to the outdoor patio. It was huge and it had waterfalls and a koi pond. The yard was wonderfully landscaped. There was a banana plant which was awesome. We got hungry so we ordered some food at the restaurant. The food was fresh and their avocado was the best avocado that I’ve ever tasted. It had a yellowish-orange tint to it which was different, but the flavor was sweet and creamy. This spot is a good spot to go on a date or have a girls day/night. I will definitely return!

I love this place! I’ve been coming here for years. I recommend this place on weekends for an all day activity. You can start with a wine tasting to figure out which is your favorite and order a bottle to hang out around the beautiful, well landscaped premises. Or head to the back and try the 20+ craft beers they have available. I recommend the café con leche on Nitrogen. You can either drink your beer at the bar, a table or my personal favorite play a game of bags. If you start getting hungry they have a sit down lunch and dinner in the front where they serve wine OR you can go the back and have beer and BBQ. If all of this isn’t enough to do during the day you can also go on the tour and learn how Schnebly’s came to be and the process of making wine and beer with fruits. The tour is WEEKENDSONLY!!! I highly recommend this place if you are looking for something fun and relaxing to do during a day event and escape the city life.

I love wine tasting and I expected more from Schnebly’s. I was excited to find a Tropical Winery outside of the Everglades and it was our mini resting activity between hikes. We showed up to the estate and waited in the tasting line for 10 minutes. No one was found to assist us so we went straight to the bar. We were informed that wine flights had to be done at the bar and could not be done outside to our disappointment. The snarky server refused to acknowledge us for ten more minutes until we pushed to have flights. Finally a different nice server came to our rescue. My friend ordered some not so good wines but I made the right choices somehow– between the passion fruit, avocado, honeysuckle, lychee, star fruit, and Tropical reisling. The nice server also taught us that the Schnebly’s wine glasses are meant to be rolled on the table to maximize tannens so we were all literally rolling the glasses on the bar. Unfortunately the nice server disappeared and we finished off the flight with the snarky one. After we finished we got to keep the wine glasses and wander outside on the beautiful patio with palm trees, a coy pond, and natural flowers. This place is severely understaffed for the demand and should really allow tastings outside. You’re a winery!!!

I absolutely love this place! I make sure to round up a group of friends for any celebration and visit this luscious wonderland. Between the tikki huts and the grand waterfall, you really feel like you’re on a mini tropical vacation. We usually go early on a weekend, around noon. We do a potluck so everyone contributes a dish and we order a couple of bottles of wine after the wine tasting and just sit and drink and enjoy the beauty of the winery around us. The tours are pretty great because you can actually sample some of the products as you tour. I cant visit without doing both the table and dessert wine tasting as well as the beer tasting. My favorite table wine would have to the guava wine. It smells just like a guava pastry, absolutely delicious. I usually make mini guava and cheese handpies to compliment this wine, soooo good. My favorite dessert wine is their Boo Boo wine. So decadent and absolutely worth every penny! It’s also really nice after 6pm with the live bands. I love introducing my friends to this place, everyone always ends up loving it.

Went back today for a tour. Very nice. About a half an hour long tour of the premises. We even got to cover the brewery(I ended up doing a beer tasting lol)! The tour guide also gave a brief history of the winery/brewery. Tours only $ 7 and run on weekends. Last tour ends at 4.

I’ve been so excited to come here for YEARS and I finally made it! Even though this was somewhat of a trek for us from Miramar, it was definitely worth it — and I’d happily do it again! We came on a Saturday morning as a group of five to celebrate two birthdays. We asked to do the tasting as soon as we arrived, because we were about an hour and a half early for the first tour of the day. We opted for the(regular) wine tasting. Perhaps the only odd thing about our entire experience at Schnebly was the man behind the bar running our tasting(certainly the only reason why I knocked a star off of this place!). Their website reads that you receive and free tasting within a week of your birthday… but the man adamantly disagreed. He insisted that it had to BE your actual birthday. My friends showed him the website and explained to him that this was part of the reason we decided to come. He seemed really annoyed but eventually agreed to give the two birthday girls their free tasting. In turn, we were all pretty annoyed by this, especially because he seemed so obviously bothered about the whole thing. Once our tasting began, the man continued to be pretty unfriendly. He just poured the wine and said«cheers.» Maybe I expected too much… but he was pretty useless when it came to any questions about the wines. Throughout our tasting, the place got busier and more and more groups were doing tastings near us. Other employees joined our tasting guide behind the bar and began to give their own tastings. We couldn’t help but sadly wish we instead had one of the other bartenders who all seemed both knowledgable and kind. By the end of our tasting, our guide did change his tune a bit. He was a lot nicer(not sure if this was because it was time to pay/tip him) and even made a few jokes with us. The entire experience was really weird. Post-tasting, we still had about 30 minutes until our tour. We decided to buy two bottles of Cat 2 Red(SO good! Definitely my favorite!) and sit by the waterfall outside while we waited. It was amazing! I could easily spend hours(and way too much money) there. At 1:00, we went on a tour led by Jorge. Jorge was great! He was knowledgable and hilarious. The tour itself wasn’t anything too different from other tours I’ve been on, but I’d say it’s certainly worth it for only $ 7. The tour is primarily of their immediate property as well as a quick look into production — you do not see any fields of fruit or anything like that. I’ve never been on a winery tour but one of my winery-expert friends mentioned that she was surprised that we didn’t see more on that front. Much to my unhappiness, we weren’t able to spend much more time at Schnebly after the tour. Didn’t get to try any of the beer nor their on-site restaurant! Nonetheless, and the strange tasting guide aside, we had a lovely time. I will definitely be back sometime soon to stock up on some Cat 2 as well as to explore their new brewery a bit more!

Schnebly Redland’s Winery is a super gem of a find, a drop dead gorgeous estate like looking place. However, the best part about it is, of course, their wines which are totally unique; not to be found elsewhere, wine creations of tropical fruits. As soon as I entered I grabbed a seat at their circular wine tasting bar. I was handed a menu of varying choices but selected a Sweet Avocado, a Mango, a GuaVino, a Cat 2 Hurricane Red, and Lychee. Though all somewhat on the sweet side for my particular tastes I thought remarkable good. If blindfolded I wouldn’t have any problem distinguishing the guava flavor in the GuaVino, the Lychee in the Lychee or the Guava in the GuaVino, but I confess the Avocado would have stumped me with it subtleness, but considering the subtle flavor of Avocado to begin with, understandable. Schnebly should be a must see on anyone’s list not only because of the wine offerings, but because of the other amenities of the stately facility such as its Redlander Restaurant along with its beautiful surrounding grounds, its steam loaded with supersize colorful goldfish, yard areas and lush vegetation. It definitely gets a full Five Stars in my book.

Thoroughly enjoyed dining at Schneblys. I had the delicious chicken penne pasta with creamy mushroom sauce(& shrimp) and my husband enjoyed the pulled pork and grits entrée which was good(but the black beans overpowered the dish). We originally came in for wine testing and were surprised that we could not mix the wine tasting with dinner it had to be done separately which was a bit disappointing but understandable. In a sense we were obligated to eat first and then do the wine testing second as we didn’t want to drink that much wine on empty stomach. As a wine lover… The fruity wines were fun and different but not something I would do too often and save more for entertaining out-of-town guests. It was a really soggy Saturday afternoon in SoFL but overall a lovely experience.

When my husband suggested that we go to a fruit winery, I was dubious. I guess I’m a traditionalist when it comes to wine, and I like my wine made with grapes. Avocado?! No thanks! But, curiosity got the best of me so we went to check it out. We each got a tasting, which allowed us to each try 5 wines. While some were clear misses(avocado wine reminds me too much of a fermentation experiment I did while working in a microbiology lab, and the coconut tasted a little bit like suntan lotion), others were surprisingly good. The lychee wine was one of my favorites; just the right amount of sweet. Somehow, we left there with two cases of wine. Maybe the novelty got to us, but they’ve got an impressive operation. As a side note, this is a GREAT place to bring little ones. Our son was as happy as a clam running around on the AstroTurf lawn and feeding the fish. There weren’t many other people there, so he had plenty of space to roam and keep himself entertained while my husband and I got to enjoy a nice cold beer on a hot day.

It was a Saturday afternoon and the place was packed. We purchased a groupon, so I’m glad we got a discounted rate. The wine was very different. I honestly can’t say I tasted one wine that I would buy a whole bottle of. The outside area was beautiful, it would be nice at night for the band. Will go back and try the beer, likely not the wine again.

I was supremely disappointed by the winery and would advise everyone to keep their expectations low in terms of service. Although the wines were delicious and uniquely flavoured, I would hesitate to return for the simple fact that the kitchen has no idea what they are doing. Our party of 7 sat outside on one of the benches and was greeted warmly by a waiter. We informed him that we only had about an hour and wanted some nibbles to accompany the two bottles of wine we had purchased to share. He suggested the spelt bread(which was supposed to be amazing) and the chips and guacamole. Perfect we said, we’ll have two of both, as we’re ravenous and both items seem quick enough so that we’re not rushing to eat and get back on the road. The minutes ticked by. Every time we flagged our waiter over to inquire as to the status of our chips and bread, he apologetically returned vowing to bring them immediately, even stating(toward the later portion of our wait) that yes, this delay was absurd for something so simple and quick. 30 minutes into our order, someone else came out with a measly bowl of chips and some guacamole(to tide us over until our actual order came out) and informed us that they were out of bread. We were informed half an hour later, that what we ordered was out. I really REALLY don’t find this acceptable, but we continued to wait due to sheer hunger. After another 20 minutes of waiting, we couldn’t take it any longer, and simply got up and left. Unfortunately, It doesn’t matter how interesting the wines are here, if this business has no concept of customer service. If the kitchen can’t manage to offer simple items(for whatever reason) to the paying customer, they should not be operating under the pretense of serving food. I kindly suggest you consider this review when planning your next visit.

There are not many places for which I will willingly make the drive to Homestead(from Coconut Grove) but Schnebley’s is an exception. This is a winery unique not only to South Florida, but for all others! I’ve made the trip most frequently with family or friends visiting from out of state, but it’s not a tourist trap(yet!). For about $ 12, you can taste 5 of their tasty wines — all made not with grapes, but with other fruits! Among my favorites are the Avovino and Carambola wines — made from avocado and star fruit, respectively. To top it off, you get to keep your glass(and get a discount if you bring it back another day). They also offer tours of the facility but unless you’re a real wine enthusiast who is curious about the non-grape process, I don’t think it’s necessary to attend. Every worker I’ve interacted with during the tasting knows a lot and you can explore the property a bit on your own. If you get hungry while you drink, they have some snacks available(think pre packed cheeses). There is also a bar for Schnebley’s locally made beers but I haven’t had a chance to try since I like the wine too much. This is a delicious adventure I highly recommend– it’s well worth the drive(and that means a lot coming from me!).

Went today to do the wine tasting. It was actually cheap because on weekdays you just pay for the wine. It cost like $ 12 per person and you get to take a wine cup home. You can go back any time and bring the cup with you so you only pay half the price! Wine: If you are into sweet wine you would love these type of wines. They are not the normal grape wines, they are mango, avocado, guava, coconut, lychee, tropical fruit wines. I personally did not like the avocado wine it was too acidic for my taste. I loved the coconut wine because it had an oaky smell with hits of coconut, very smooth and with a subtle buttery finish. Overall, it was a unique experience. If you want to go on the weekend you should buy the groupon you’ll save some money. If you can go on the weekday it’s cheaper without a groupon.

What’s not to like? So I doubt most will get down to my review as this is a top hang out for Unilocalers new and old. I mean, it’s a winery in south Florida?! That’s crazy enough. But they have their own brewery now and the grounds just near the tasting lodge are camera ready for moments you are wanting. We popped in as we were at a festival nearby and knew we couldn’t out in the Redlands and not hit the winery. We knew going in that it wasn’t a «regular» winery as their different fermentations were not based on wines. When I got the flight of wines to try they went from mangos to avocados to star fruits and more. It was a fantastic experience that I truly would recommend to anyone and will do again myself. If you are on your way to the keys or in homestead for business or pleasure you really should shoot out west for a quick tasting.

Came here back in April on a date night. I love wine so I had been wanting to go to this place for a while. It is literally in the middle of nowhere out in the Redlands. It is also a pretty big place. We purchased the wine tasting & can I just say there wine is awesome! I especially liked the Cocovino & Sweet avocado one. We also had dinner. I had a pesto pasta dish that was very good. I regret not buying a bottle to go. I would definitely be back for another tasting and probably purchase some wine this time around.

This isn’t your traditional winery boasting of blends from diverse grapes. These wines are products of tropical fruit such as star fruit, coconut, guava, plum, coconut, and avocado to name a few. Thursday was my first visit to this winery, to a winery in general. I don’t have many, if any expectations of what a winery should be, but this place exceeded anything that I could have imagined. It was beautiful. That’s just my initial impression without doing the full tour. Stepping into the entrance you are immediately engulfed by a cocoon of calm. The atmosphere is very relaxed, the selection of music aiding to it. At the bar, I decided to try their wine tasting which includes your choice of 5 wines from the list provided. The tasting was $ 13 and you get to keep the wine glass with the Schnebly’s logo as a souvenir… How cool is that?! Chrissy who was attending the bar was such a great spirit. She provided background information regarding each wine, even a few laughs. I also believe that if you return to do another tasting and have your glass from the previous visit, your tasting is half off. I certainly had a good time and can’t wait to go back. When I do return, I plan to do the tour and possibly join in on the karaōke fun.

Para mi uno de los mejores sitios turisticos de Miami. Es un viñedo muy original, donde hacen vinos de pulpa de frutas diferentes a la uva, como aguacate, liche y otros, vale la pena conocerlo
