I will say i was impressed that they held an item left on the truck for me. It took a few weeks for me to make it over there and I was afraid it might have been discarded in the meantime, but Elijah was kind enough to have held it. He was also nice enough to indulge me in asking more details about my move and informing me how displeased they were to hear about their movers’ actions, and as I suspected, were not aware of the day-of activities that were taking place. Logic says to blame the estimator for not relaying information, as promised, but I have a feeling this is neither the first or last time that will happen. I think they have potential to be better than what I experienced, but if you have problems, by all means call and demand to speak with the owner or Operations Manager in the main office rather than relaying on your middle-man estimator as I did. They also offered to refund me one hour of my move, because of my experience.

I used this company in 2008. I want to make that clear, since they may have improved since then. But in my case, the experience was not favorable overall. I hired them to move the contents of my storage unit to my new apartment. Obviously, I wanted to get this done as soon as I could, so I set an appointment for 9:00 am. The office staff said this wouldn’t be a problem at all, and that I was to be waiting for them at the storage unit at that time. Well, noon rolled by, and they still weren’t there. Let me add that this was a particularly hot June day in Alabama, and while my external storage unit was climate controlled it certainly wasn’t air conditioned. I called the office every thirty minutes or so to ask them why they were taking so long, and the office staff were ridiculously cavalier about my situation. I apparently did a pretty good job communicating my anger, as they would go on to warn the movers that I was«a real b*tch.» I am giving them two stars instead of one because, once they finally got there, the movers did a very good job.(And I believe that their late arrival was a cause of the office staff’s failure to communicate rather than their own incompetence, though I am not sure.) And they were so impressed by how polite I was to them that one of the movers took down my phone number from the work order and called me later on– he must have thought I was flirting with him. I definitely don’t think this was appropriate.
