Great local Italian market with good service and selection. The food is always excellent!

I always judge a Italian deli by the homemade sausage before I buy anything else! Well I bought some hot Italian sausage to grill at home. The sausage looked very good! I grilled it and let me tell you one bite and all could taste was salt, so I cut a piece from the other two links the same, salt was all you could taste! I had high hopes for this deli! Do you ever taste your product when you make it? All you have to do is cook a small piece and taste it! The worst Italian sausage I have ever had!

My wife and I stopped in for lunch about a week ago. She had been there a couple times, but this was my first time. The store is very clean and organized. The staff is very friendly and the food we had was very good. The menu is huge — particularly for such a small place. I love that they have some vegetarian options, especially in an Italian deli-style place. Located within walking distance from home, this will be one of our go-to’s for lunch in the future.

This is a really nice place for counter service. The menus are really cool on big flat screen tvs. Went with a group of 5. Everybody was happy with their sandwich. Gelato shake dessert was awesome. Would defiantly recommend for lunch any day.

Had heard good things about this place. I have had the Eggplant and Mozzarella Panini twice. The first time was awesome. The second time it needed a little longer on the grill. But still a delicious sandwich. The Italian Chopped Salad is very good. There is a good selection of deli meats, cheeses and salads, as well as gelato and baked goods that look good. They have a small Grocery with mostly Italian items. They also have some entrees that can be taken home and heated up, like lasagne and stuffed peppers. If you eat in there is a small beer and wine selection, including Italian Peroni beer and a swirled frozen sangria.

Since Savoia’s To-Go’s absence from Homewood and the Heights, it is nice to see a nice, clean place open up that serves as an Italian eatery and deli as well. There is a tiny area where they sell bakery goods, also gelato and other just desserts. They also have a wine selection as well, and a deli section. Ordered the double chocolate chip gelato as well as cannoli on the first visit. Gelato was good but not the best I’ve tasted, and the cannoli was pretty stale and overtly sweet. Had better expectations. The second time I thought I’d fare better with the food. Italian beef and tortellini salad in front of me, the numbers just didn’t equate to what I saw. A bit pricey for some shredded beef on a piece of French bread and some pasta that has been sitting in the container for awhile(as you can taste in the cheese and ham). Don’t get me wrong, I would be willing to come back when I’m in the neighborhood, but only if I have a strong hankering for some Italian, and if Aurelio’s or Mama and Me doesn’t lure me with a far better deal.

Great food. Stopped in for dinner and had the ravioli with Alfredo sauce. It was delicious. I eat like a bird usually but ate every last bite! I was also impressed with the variety. I took a pre-made lasagne home and it was delicious. Just had it heat it in the oven and had s homemade gourmet meal. I will definitely be back to try other things.

I’ve been here three times, and each time loved the heck out of my food. It is both a traditional deli where you can get great stuff to go, and a really good restaurant with wonderful wraps, sandwiches, and anything else you could want. The first time I was there I had the chicken Parmesan sandwich, which was delicious. The next two, I had the southwest turkey wrap, which is wonderful with just enough spice and awesome full flavor. I can’t emphasize enough how much I love that wrap. The service was also good, and judging by how busy it is getting, this place is definitely catching on. It’s so nice to have another great place to eat in the Homewood area. Stop by for great food or to pick up a few Italian groceries for a good meal at home.

Went here for dinner on a Saturday with my husband and we had their Mediterranean wrap and Asian zing wrap with cheese fries! All very delicious!!! Homewood definitely needed some new spots for me to try and this place definitely delivered. You can also order take out(online or by phone) so now you have another alternative besides pizza and fast food. They have a deli and a small grocery section that sells all things Italian! Cheeses, pasta, deli meats, sauces, olive oil etc. They also have gelato and other yummy tasty desserts that I will definitely come back to try! The menu is extensive, so you’ll definitely find something you love! The staff there are wonderful and came by several times to ask how we were doing and if we needed anything. We will definitely be back and bring friends along who have yet to try this awesome place!

Stopped there for lunch today. Ordered paninis. They were sorely underdone. Mine was barely grilled, Luke warm and the cheese not even melted. Prob won’t stop in there again

I went here with my dad and little sister and was expecting a deli with basic Italian sandwiches. To my surprise, Fratello’s was way more than that. The second you walk in, to the left of you there are two aisles of imported Italian good and to the right is a cute bakery area with ZARLENGOSGELATO. And I’m not talking little cups of hard gelato, they have an area dedicated to six tubs of quality gelato. The market area has everything from pasta to flavors of San Pellegrino that you can’t find at the local grocery stores. They also have fresh pastas and cheeses on the far side of the restaurant, along with pre-made appetizers that look delicious. For lunch, I got the caprese panini meal that came with roasted red pepper soup and a drink. They had a wide variety of sides to choose from. The panini was cooked to perfection and the mozzarella cheese was amazingly fresh. The menu has tons of sandwiches, since it is a deli, but they also had a large list of pasta dishes that looked delicious. I’m definitely trying one of those next time I go. If you haven’t checked this place out, I definitely recommend it. It looks really well run and the service is quick and great. For a cheap meal that tastes anything but cheap, go to Fratello’s. Or if you want some amazing gelato without the hassle of the five minute drive!
