JoJo’s is definitely one of my new favorites. I like the hole-in-the-wall atmosphere. The smoked wings are the best wings I’ve ever eaten and the fried pimento cheese is crazy good. Service from the bar is super slow but I can overlook that because I enjoyed the food so much. The people here are very friendly and food service was great. I highly recommend it!

First, don’t be fooled by the divey atmosphere. This restaurant is worthy of the title«gastropub.» I visited for the first time during Restaurant Week and ordered off of the prix fixe menu that showcased popular menu items. The food was cooked perfectly and attractively presented. Since the kitchen is open to the dining area, I was able to watch the care taken by the staff as they prepared the meals. If you like to see professionals in action, ask to be seated in the booths near the kitchen. While everything was delicious, the one stand out was the Lebanese salad dressing. It was light, refreshing, and not oily. If you are in the mood for a salad, go with the Lebanese! The service was personable but the pace was slow. I happen to like a slower paced dining experience, but some people may expect the more rapid pace of a burger joint. If you build a little time into your evening and make a point of enjoying the restaurant’s energy and the company of those around you, you won’t be disappointed.

I had the fish tacos. Fish Market’s are half the price and twice as good. None of the three in our party was pleased with the price or taste. Doubt any of us would go back. Hate to say it.

Stopped in looking for a beer and ended up eating 2 pounds of the smoked wings. Great wings and the people were very friendly, will make a point to go back there next time I am in town.

Let me start off by saying I work in the restaurant industry. The little food we got was good but service was horrible mainly because of the bartender. She isn’t helping out the waiter who is overwhelmed with tables… This place has two rooms and an outside area. The bartender has played with the tips and ignored the fact she might need to help the server. Restaurant operations 101, move your ass and take care of the customers.

I am currently eating the BLTA(Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, Avocado) And I am in LOVE. The delivery was really fast(i ordered with doorstep) and the sandwich is amazing. The bacon is hearty, and they didn’t dare skimp, and there is a good layer of avocado. I ordered the BYOB for my boyfriend, and it got a thumbs up on the first bite! If you’re looking for something nice and American without feeling sick afterwards, Jojo’s is the way to go.

Better than bar food. You can tell the chef carefully preps his menu with daily specials and has a good local selection on draft, but keeps the atmosphere nice. The fish and chips and smoked pork tacos off the regular menu are amazing too. We will be frequenting here often. It’s my new favorite local bar.

This place is solidly 4, even closer to 5 stars in my opinion. My husband and I dined there recently with some friends who are practically regulars and were not disappointed! For years we have been frequenting Gianmarco’s and never realized there was such a gem tucked away beside it. Their pastrami sandwich is perfection! The perfect combination of salty meat, tangy dressing and crunchy slaw. They have a varied menu which made it difficult to choose! They do sell out of their specials on weekends, so be prepared to have a backup in mind when you order. Proportions were appropriate and the price reasonable. We will certainly be goiing back!

Great food and craft beer selection. Jojo’s is a fantastic neighborhood spot that doesn’t just serve all the same type foods as everywhere else. It’s obvious the owner/chef knows what is going on. Will eat there again. Every once and again they have live entertainment on Friday or Saturday nights that we have caught.

Second time I have«tried» to eat lunch at this place and had to walk out. I have heard so many good things about this place but my two experiences have been very disappointing. About a year ago we attempted to eat here… before we even ordered we watched several people walk out. After ordering food it took an hour to get to the table. The food was not as described on the menu, the fries were cold and my sandwich that was supposed to have caramelized onions did not. When I asked about the onions they said they were«out» of them… Out of onions??? We had to politely tell our server we were not going to pay for the food and walked out. So we decided to give it another try today for lunch again. We sat at the bar and each ordered draft beers. The server that was taking care of us was on her first day, and she informed us that her manager had left and she could not pour us beer. Are you serious??? Two other people had the same issue. How do you hire a new employee to work in your restaurant and leave her by herself on her first day? We walked over to gian marcos again and had an amazing lunch. Sorry, jo Joe’s I want to give you a fair shot but if you don’t get your management in order it’s not gonna work.

Very good service from staff, amazing food, love the interior. My husband and I were treated amazing at JoJo’s. I LOVE the tuna, and the onion rings are delicious. Live music on Friday I believe and that was pretty darn good too. Been here twice and pleased both times. Definitely now is a fav hangout of mine.

I had lunch here one day this week while working in the area. Even after reading the Unilocal reviews I must admit that I was surprised by how cool the interior is. The set up is very comfortable and inviting. I ordered the basic JoJo Burger which was very good. Served medium, with lettuce, tomato, pickle and red onion. The burger was priced properly($ 5.99) But the Yuengling bottled beer I ordered was WAY over priced at $ 4.75 Service was good. A nice choice in the Homewood/Edgewood area.

Not bad. Not great. Average neighborhood eatery. The problem is I don’t live in this neighborhood. Had the gulf shrimp pesto pasta. Bowl full of excellent flavored pasta but only five shrimp. Medium shrimp. Glad I beat the crowd. Filled up pretty quick.

Surprisingly good! Good atmosphere, very friendly but slow service today. Had the crawfish pie, black eyed peas and cornbread, and burnt butter pasta. Each was fantastic. I will be back! Can’t wait to try the jerk chicken and fried fish. Looks like a very diverse menu at reasonable prices for great food.

What a great little neighborhood gem. Drinks are good, the food is way better than youd expect from some little hole in the wall. They take their food really seriously and it shows. The menu isn’t huge or fancy but there are no shortcuts on the food. I had the porkchop and it was really, really good. Prices are very reasonable and happy hour is a steal. Tucked away in an area that doesn’t have much for a local watering hole type place, this spot is perfect.

We have gone there twice for dinner and I have not been impressed. The food was not bad but the service was bad both times. We went on wing night and they were out of wings at 6pm. It was not very crowded the second time we went and the service was just as bad. We had to flag down the waitress to get her attention as she kept walking past our table. There are too many others places to eat around Homewood that are much more customer friendly so we will not be going back to JoJo’s.

Great corned beef that’s made in-house. Get there early since it tends to sell out.
