Mountain View BBQ

What a pleasant surprise! I had read the Unilocal reviews which were good and we decided to go to West Shore Pizza to pick up pizza instead. When I called them at 4:30pm to order, the phone rang forever and no one answered! We decided to get take out at Mountain BBQ and it was great. Two of us had the pork spare rib plate and the ribs were tender and delicious. They were nicely seasoned with little to no fat on them. The servings were large. I had a side order of Mac n’ cheese and it was the best I have had as it was rich and made with white cheddar cheese. The cornbread and honey butter were also good. We will definitely be back!

This is a little food tent outside of Homewood that has a lot of benches for seating. Very nice in the summer since the hills are nice and green. We were also lucky when we stopped by that there was a little arts & crafts fair to walk and look around. We wanted to grab some kind of light snack from here because we were trail biking along the lake but there really isn’t much options. Mostly sandwiches which was too much for us since we still had quite a ways to go left. Ended up just getting some sodas instead. If we didn’t have such a long way to bike, several of them would’ve gotten some beers as well since they had several selections available. Good spot for a pit-​stop if you’re biking along the lakeside trail at least.

Wonderful lunch experience at Homewood!
The restaurant is beautiful. Great interior and an amazing location right on Lake Tahoe. You are so close it almost feels like you’re dinning on a boat. It’s just beautiful.
I was really pleased with the service. Our server and the bartender were super. Nice, efficient and professional.
The food was really good. I had the burger with sweet potato fries. Super good! A friend dinning with us had the chicken club and raved about it.
Make a stop at Homewood for a drink and lunch. You’ll love it!
