This franchise provided the worst customer service experience I have had by any shipping company. I shipped a package for next day 8AM delivery from this store at great expense. It did not arrive and when I used the tracking feature to find it UPS indicated it had not left the store. When the UPS Store did not answer their phone I took time off from work to go there personally. It turns out that the store owner has no real affiliation with UPS he just pays to use their logo. He has no ability to refund my money — that comes as a check fro UPS — and he didn’t want to refund the $ 2 packing fee. His position was that the loss of my package inconvenienced HIM because he had to spend time locating it! Yes, that’s what he told me — that his business partner’s inability to provide the service inconvenienced him. While my money was taken very efficiently it will take days to get it back in the form of a check — on top of the not having an important package shipped. This business owner does not seem to understand that the customer trusts that they will keep their promise of providing a service. He also doesn’t understand that when that promise is broken it requires a swift refund of ALL the customer’s expenses — including the packaging that was purchased in vain. I’m sticking with FedEx from now on.

Not the closest UPS store to me, but I will drive past one to get to this location. 1) parking is easy and plentiful. Don’t have to worry about searching for spots on the street. 2) Owner is the sweetest man I’ve met in Bham. Super polite, helpful, and genuine. He knows the usual customers by name. What a rarity these days!
