Interesting place. Server tried her best. Blast of cold air from ventilation system was unpleasant. Beef filet was a huge disappointment with an ‘old’ flavor to it. Root beer float was most ‘UN-complimentary’, whatever they had cleaned the ice cream machine with was still in there, tasted like bleach. Will drive on by next time. I hope the fire truck and ambulance in the parking lot(as we left) were not there for a menu-related incident.

My husband and I made the long drive from OKC. The restaurant appearance and uniqueness is what made the drive partly worth it. The restaurant staff was friendly. I ordered the shish kabob. Beef. Now I must not of read the menu correct. There is a deluxe kabob that has beef chicken and shrimp and it said grilled vegetables. I ordered just the beef and I assumed out of past menus that it came with grilled vegetables. No it came on a wooden stick, rolled up in foil. No seasoning on it, no vegetables. It was tough and very disappointing. My husband ordered a side of chopped brisket and ribs. The chopped brisket was tasty. The corn on the cob side he had was bland, no butter or seasoning. He had grilled green beans. They seemed to be frozen green beans and you could not see any sign of it being grilled. I had the baked potato salad and it was good. Before the meal they served chips and ranch dressing which was good. The best part of the meal was the complimentary but small root beer float. We would not go back but enjoyed the drive to and from.

Heard great things on this Steak house so we just had to make the hour drive and try it. Rather pleased with building, which was built around 18 Wheeler Cattle Hauling trailers! Inside was different and actually fun. Steaks? My 18 oz bone-in was okay. Medium, but came with bottom charred! Not what you want to taste. Flavor was light. Corn on the cob was bland and a bit tasteless. My wife’s medium Rib-eye was well done. Both steak did have a light seasoning and if the chef hadn’t burnt the bottoms, well, they’d been okay. House salads were topped off with home made ranch dressing. Not worth the drive!

Our experience was less than stellar. We had made a reservation and still waited 30 to be seated. I specifically requested to be seated in the cattle car — we were not. They were out of a variety of items– ribs, okra, handmade potato chips(particularly yummy) and lemons for water! Our waitress mumbled something about having new management. They need to get their purchasing straightened out! As for our food, it was adequate but not worth the 50 minute drive to get there. We have no plans to return any time soon.

If you don’t like meat don’t eat here. But if you are a meat lover, dive in! This place is not only delicious but a fun place to eat. We got seated in the cattle trailer and our 5 year old thought that was the coolest thing ever! Homemade potato chips were delicious. I had the Wild Country burger, so good and TONS of meat! Also get the funnel cake fries as an added side with the strawberry jalapeño jelly. You won’t be disappointed. This place was worth the hour drive!

Worth the trip to this unusual restaurant/meat market! Moist, flavorful steaks and elk burger. Homemade potato chips were delicious! Rolls, mashed potatoes and gravy were like Mom’s! Great grilled green beans and sweet potato fries. The iced tea was brewed, not instant. And the complimentary root beer float was a surprise final touch. The staff were very friendly, and our waitress Kaylee was very quick and attentive. Enjoy a trip to Green Country and eat at Wild Country Meats!

Best steak I’ve ever had! The sides left a little to be desired but the meat was fantastic! The atmosphere of dining in a refurbished cattle trailer was humorous and conversation worthy. My date loved it. The complimentary root beer floats were the perfect finish to a grand meal. While there, we purchased 10lbs of hamburger for a great price of $ 3.80/lb. I’ll be back, for sure. Thanks WCM!

Outstanding food! So glad a friend told us about this place. Who would have known a small town has such a hip joint. I was super impressed with the place and can’t wait to go back. If you’re within 50 miles of this place you HAVE to eat there.

I have been here 3 times and have been disappointed twice. I really liked the barbecue brisket but was disappointed with the steaks. I would think a slaughterhouse with a meat case would serve the most amazing steaks but, no. The first steak I had was the filet. It was tender and flavorful but so small and thin, maybe ½ inch thick, that I thought they had brought me the wrong cut. The other steak I got was the buffalo ribeye. It was supposed to be 10 – 12 ounces. It came out in 2 thin thin thin slices. I have literally had lunch meat cut thicker than that ‘steak’. And it was $ 25! I will have to say it was tender and flavorful but the steak sizes are just too small, not what they advertise. I think I will stick with the burgers and BBQ from now on. I agree with the other comments about the décor and ambiance being very unique. I love that about this place.

My wife heard about The Slaughter House(same as Wild Meat Market) and she decided to treat her dad on his birthday their. The whole family left from BA, OK for Hominy which was about an hour away. The trip was well worth it! I had the 12 oz Beef Rib Eye Steak with grilled asparagus and southern potato salad(mustard kind). Yum yum! The complimentary warm potato chips and root beer float were very nice! We weren’t seated in the cattle car, but I walked in there. It looked great! Next time I want to be seated in there and ill try the ribs They had some funny T shirts you can buy too!

1st off, we saw it on Discover Oklahoma last week. Thier was 6 of us, we rode up on our motorcycles over 180 miles one way to go and try it out. They start out with hot homeade potatoe chips,(complimentary and endless). Drinks are free for tea and water. Sweet T was as good as it gets, served in big glasses. I had the Chris’s speacial, a 20oz bone in ribeye which was EXCELLENT, with sides of grilled green beans and the spicy cowboy beans. Wifie had the small ribeye, full of flavor and very tender with sides of brocli slaw and pasta salad. Then free complimentary root beer floats. Total bill with tax was $ 32. GREATFOOD, GREATPRICES, ANDEXCELLENTSERVICE with a 1 of a kind dining experience. Everyone loved it.

Riding on the bike cruising down Hwy 20 looking for a place to grab a bite I stumbled upon this meat market and deli in Hominy. Seating is in a converted Stock trailer which makes for a fun ambience. The ribeye was delicious and at 14.99 was a bargain. The cowboy beans are really good(spicy and meaty). This place is well worth the drive and I look forward to trekking back to try some of the other great looking meats on the menu.
