This is THE place to go in Homosassa Springs for craft beer. Mark is passionate about getting the best seasonals and limited release brews he can, as well as having a healthy stock of year-round selections of a wide variety. We were from out of town looking for Florida beer, or just beer we can’t normally get, to take back home to Kentucky. This is the only stop we needed to make. We also had a few drafts from a selection of limited release brews from Funky Buddha and Thomas Creek while we were there. And of course Mark is just a great guy all around to talk beer with. We will be back.

Homosassa is not somewhere I would normally suggest for beer fancier than a Yuengling. In the decades I’ve visited my grandparents, I’ve either stopped in Tampa before heading up there or resigned myself to cocktails. Thank goodness I’ve discovered Pick Six! The name, sign, and half-empty shopping center do little to relay the contents of the store. The interior consists of a nondescript bar and every other square foot of real estate is covered in beers from across the nation. I consider myself very knowledgeable about the craft beer world and I didn’t recognize a third of the offerings. It was so exciting to find so many new things to try. The awesome thing is that you can split ANY pack. Nearly every beer, other than the limited releases, are the same cost, letting you try six new things for around $ 12. The bar has plenty of local drafts, along with Bud Select for the less adventurous. Feel free to grab any beer out of the case and watch the game or chat up Mark, the owner, about all things beer-related. This is THEPLACE for beer in a 20+ mile radius. If you care about craft beer, please visit Mark and prepare to enjoy a draft while you find something for every palette at a great price!

I like beer. I usually hunt for local beers when I travel. Well while visiting my grandparents in Homosassa, I wasn’t sure I’d find much interesting. After looking a local grocery store or two, I figured it’d be a boring trip and I’d have nothing new. A Google search for Homosassa and craft beer led me to this place. Beer & Wine U-Pick is easy to miss if you aren’t familiar with the area — it’s located in a strip mall and the storefront is set back from the road. I was delighted when I walked in to see a variety of options to pick and choose my own beers and make a 6 pack. Ultimately, I ended up just getting a 6 pack of Cigar City, but that was only because I knew I’d be traveling with it and they came in cans(much easier to pack on a plane). I was impressed with the selection of craft beers. I chatted a bit with cashier and he was very friendly and helpful in making selections. It’s nice to know that next time I visit, I’ll have a great place to pick up some craft beer!
