It was the 25 year class reunion for the class of ’85. It was HOT outside, but it was hot and stuffy inside. When I left the Raleigh area, it was projected to be in the mid 90’s. When I got to Richmond it was already 97 degrees. By the time I got to my hotel in Rochester, it was 94 degrees. I swear it was easily 95 degrees inside Cosmos. The fans provided little relief, and a circulating air flow was non existent. I had to remind myself I was in the great white north, where air conditioning is seldom used. The heat aside, I can’t say I’m a fan of bars. Cosmos was okay but that was about it. If I wanted red wine I had one choice… a cheap merlot. That had to do. My bride bailed out on me about an hour into the evening and called my little brother to come pick her up. Being it’s a «Restrnt» I was expecting a food menu… they didn’t appear to have one. On the plus side, the bartender was on the ball… it was a busy night and she was keeping up easily.
