So this is one of those restaurants where… you really have to know what to get and what not to. Prime rib? … certainly not if you like it rare. BBQ riblets? … now you’re talking. Don’t come here for the fancy stuff because you will be disappointed. Their BBQ stuff however… like the riblets which are a bit pricey at about $ 10 for an appetizer, you will find yourself telling the waitress to forget the rest of what you ordered and just get another plate of these riblets… pricey or not. Gotta admit, they have their BBQ& sauce down pretty good… you could bathe in this stuff. It’s not too vinegary but has a lot more complexity then your typical sauce. They also have an outdoor deck with umbrellas which is a lovely thing to do in the summer. The chili is okay and their pizza is a bit dry and of the«Sheet pizza» variety where it is a long rectangle cut into squares. The fried chicken is of the … it’s not made here variety, do yourself a favor and buy your own favorite from a frozen box because that’s what this is. One day restaurants like this will realize that if we go out to eat, we want homemade food and not something I can also get from the frozen food section and reheat. Their Ribs and pulled pork and riblets are homemade and you can see that there is some talent there just from this. Now they just need to put the passion they put in their BBQ sauce into the rest of their entrée’s. Again… great place to spend the summer. get some chili and sour cream and an order of riblets… and another order… and another order…

The food was horrible, I ordered lunch a chicken Caesar wrap it was gross there was no dressing, the chicken was dry. Also ordered a chicken quesadilla that also was gross the chicken was grounded and tasted nasty. Neither item was edible the only thing that was good was the wings. For 30 dollars a total waste of money could have went to McDonald’s across the street.

The best around. Don’t be fooled the pizza is amazing and the taco bowls are too die for.

I have eaten here a few times, I had the burger which wasn’t anything special, I had a pulled pork sandwich which was great, and the last time I had the pizza and wings special. BIGMISTAKE! I’m pretty sure the pizza was frozen from a box. Was not impressed at all. The wings were mediocre, I definitely won’t be getting pizza or wings from the halfway house ever again.

I love the Half way house! Good food & great hometown service. My daughter & I go regularly for lunch & dinner. They have an amazing pulled pork wrap that I absolutely crave! My sons favorite is the Alfredo tortellini-yum! Great fries with cheese or gravy! Customer service is excellent!

They have the best Taco bowls I have ever had. Bowl is deep fried and made to order. It is the main reason I come here. They don’t use the cheap Iceberg style lettuce. It is usually spring leaves. I usually can’t finish the whole thing because it is such a big meal. Pizza seems like the cheap boxed frozen kind with thin crust so we tend to order burgers for the kids, instead of their own pizza. Husband says he would rate the burgers as fair.(This is from a past review. The pizza might have been changed since then. I saw a family come in last night and order a pizza and hot wings deal) Last night I tried something new because the special looked good. I think I will stick with my taco salad in the future. Everyone I change it up, I just don’t seem satisfied with my decision. Gravy on mahed potatoes with fish was a beef gravy and the potatoes where kind of hard. I guess I expected it to be paired with a different gravy. It is clean and the service is usually good.

We are locals and have passed by this place many times, but only stopped for the first time today. We wanted to have an early dinner and arrived about 4:30. The place was almost empty and we were greeted by a pleasant young man who told us we could sit anywhere we wanted. We started to walk into the back area, to check out the various seating options. A short haired waitress ran by us and rudely said to us, «You can’t sit at any of these tables — they’re all reserved for a party coming in at 5:30.» No apology, no smile, no nothing… just plain RUDE. The poor kid who had originally greeted us looked dumbfounded. The only reason they got a star is because I had to in order for this to be posted. We left and ended up eating at Wendys — at least they’re friendly there!

Have eaten there quite a few times going back 20 years, Good food, great seafood, especially remember the freshest tasting wild little neck clams I’ve ever eaten. Wish I had some right now.

The food is very good and the service is excellent. They have a nice variety and the prices are reasonable. One of the best places in town to sit down for a good enjoyable meal. The choices are nicely varied and even my vegitarian daughter can find something that she really likes instead of just tolerating some limited choice. I highly recommend them.
