Just one of the many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, ABC stores in Waikiki. This one is located across the Hawaii Prince Hotel /Outback /Red Lobster. Fairly large store, with everything the typical tourist/visitor would need — drinks, snacks, souvenirs, beach items, etc. Yes, the prices can be a bit high — but you’re in Waikiki, so what do you expect? You’re paying for the convenience. If you have a car, and want to save some $, you can head to Longs(in the mall) or Walmart(further up the road).

Stock Up This location was very conveniently located near the beach and our hotel. When on vacation I always love to turn my hotel room into a functioning bar. Doesn’t everyone do that? If no, then why aren’t you. You’re on vacation and it’s time to relax and mix up some cocktails. The store is larger then most ABC locations and stocks more items. It also has a ton of souvenirs if you plan on bringing stuff back for people. I did have to laugh at the Obama key chains. There was one of him playing a ukulele. Does he even play an instrument? I did buy myself a souvenir. There was this great bamboo cutting board shaped like a surf board that I totally needed for my bar in Chicago. There seems to be a theme in this review around adult beverages. I must still be in vacation mode. Not only are there souvenirs for your friends but this location contains packaged food and fresh fruits and vegetables. You can grab some snacks just in case for the room or beach. Let’s not forget the wine, beer & spirits section. Yeah I grabbed stuff from all 3 adult beverage sections. I needed to be prepared for fun in the sun. I thought that the prices were not that bad for being on an island. I did see something really unusual. They have an air compressor behind the side counter and they will blow up the inflatable rafts for sale. How cool is that? I have never ever seen a store do that on any tropical island. I must say ABC does it right or at least this location does. So if you find yourself in an ABC store in Honolulu then pop in and stock up on drinks, snacks & souvenirs. The prices are not that bad and are much cheaper then buying things at your resort. Aloha my island friend and enjoy paradise in a convience store.

This ABC is like a mini grocery store combined with a souvenir shop and a liquor store all in one. It is right at the corner of Ala Moana & Hobron — I tell you this, because if you have been to Hawaii you know that in the touristy sections of town there are ABCs every 50 feet! Prices are what you would expect in Waikiki. They are high, but not outrageous. This place is nice because it is close to a lot of the condos so you can go get your milk, eggs, fruit and pick up a beach mat and hulu girl for your dash all in one spot!

This was a fairly large ABC(and we saw about a zillion when we were here). The prices seemed pretty fair for the things you could get here. We ended up getting some spare groceries for the week and some touristy stuff. Also had good prices on booze if you’re up for that kind of thing :)

Sure, it’s expensive. But it’s got everything you need and it’s super convenient for any of the hotels in the area. It has alcohol, for sure, but also soft drinks and foods. We actually got some coke on the cheap here– less than a dollar for a can, and less than two for a bottle! I wouldn’t recommend getting your souvenirs here, but I wish I had realized right away where everyone on the beaches was getting their beach toys– it’s here! It’s about $ 3 for a beach mat or inflatable lounger… They sell inner tubes too! A Beautiful Convenience. That’s what it stands for, right?

More ABC goodness. In downtown Honolulu you literally come across a different one every 2 minutes of walking. This location is one of the large ones, so if you need souvenirs or other knick knacks, this is probably one of the better ones to go to. You go to one, you go to them all. Tons of Hello Kitty goodness, and everything you need in life under the sun. ‘Nuff said.

I think ABC stores have the most stores out of any other stores in Hawaii. I think they can even beat out McDonalds or Zippys for having the most stores. Well, it seems like it is because they are everywhere in Waikiki, in every corner and even in Ala Moana Center. This is the tourist destination and hot spot for convenience stores. Most of the items here I think is kinda over priced such as food, drinks, etc. But what can you say, it’s Waikiki and it’s meant for Tourists and stuff. Some things, however, are pretty cheap. There was this one time where I needed lighters for a dance project to use as props. They had some Ed Hardy lighters here at a decent price like 2 bucks per lighter. The lighters could even light up. For the dance project, we ended up using the lighters as actually lighters and not with the flame on. The locations is conveniently located on Ala Moana Blvd. right at the intersection of McDonald’s and some restaurants. The staff and customer service is aight. I’d rather walk here than drive. Everything thing you do/don’t need at any time of the day at the prices you don’t always want to pay! For example a gall of milk is $ 10.45, you’re better off buying items like this at Wal-Mart. This location is across the street from my hotel so we stop here throughout my stay in Honolulu for snacks and water.
