While cruising around and doing errands at the Hilton Grand Waikikian mall I keep on passing by this convenience store inside the hotel called Accents. I stopped by and check it out one day and it’s pretty much your typical convenience store setting. They have prepared sandwiches, snacks, refrigerated items, bentos, drinks, alcohol, canned goods, and many other various items for tourists and hotel guests. There were some things that I found that were quite interesting. I noticed that they have oriental snacks in the back. They have this snack called«Hawaiian Pretz?» I suppose it is a pineapple tasting or flavored pretzel. They also have Hello Kitty yan yans. They also have other Japanese chips and snacks. Of course there is the other tourist things like fake ukuleles, different kinds of sunscreen, macadamia nuts, Hawaiian chocolates, etc. I would say the convenience store is different from a way than shop like 7 – 11 in a way that it feels more upscale and touristy and hotel like. The prices for everything is double than what you would find from any other local supermarket or convenience store. A snack sized bag of Maui Onion chips is almost 5 bucks! I bought a tuna sandwich for 5 bucks! The staff and customer service is good. They only come out when they see guests around the store. 31 Unilocal Review Challenge — October 2012, #24/31
