A Hawaii born designer, who understands that little people need jeans too, Allison Izu creates denim for petites. No longer do we need to hem our jeans! No longer do we have to feel like we’re wearing tall people pants! No longer will we walk out of dressing rooms with a foot of denim below our feet!

The first time I tried on a pair of Allison Izu jeans I almost nearly started to cry because I felt like they were made just for me! If you’re tall you won’t get this review. But if you’re short, you’re probably crying tears of petite joy at your desktop along with me.

Up until now, finding finding fashionable, quality jeans when you are short, but not necessarily a size 2, is usually a quest down a dark, deserted hall without a light at the end of the tunnel.
Allison Izu changed that for shorties in Hawaii. Her jeans have adorable detailing and due to «just the amount of stretch» the jeans fit perfectly right away, even on curvy girls. Allison does a new collection each spring and fall so you can stack up on jeans that are perfect for the season, that means lighter denim in the summer and heavier denim in the fall, along with the most current silhouettes of each season.
If you aren’t lucky enough to pick up a pair of Allison jeans when you are in Honolulu (I actually get mine at Split Obsession in Hawaii Kai), never despair… her website is up and running now and you have them sent to you.
Its such a kick to support a local designer with such talent… and its an even bigger kick to have jeans that are always right. no matter the occasion!
