Every single time I come here I’m highly satisfied. My favorites are the steak wrap and the tomato bisque(they have this everyday so I’m in good company!). The Cesar dressing is delicious. Definitely the place to go for healthy yumminess! Make sure you get there early. It gets from 1140am onwards.

Got ripped off today when I ordered the Satay salad with Chicken — said so on my receipt and on the order tag… but there was NOCHICKEN! Also they went stingy on the dressing for a regular size salad. Had a lot of dry greens and still hungry. Would have been a good go to place near my office in town too — except I won’t be going back.

I paid close to $ 11 for the Kamuela Cobb salad at this location and I totally regret it. The mixed greens were wilted and slimy. The cherry tomatoes had no «meat». I was basically eating just the outer skin. The chicken had a weird aftertaste. The quality of this place has certainly gone down. Save your money and go to San Francisco Salad in Bishop Square! Way better quality and does not put a dent in your wallet!

Aloha duds. The store in Kahala is better. This store has the problem of bad management and poor customer service. The sandwiches are weak. Poor bread, bland, and the veggies are not as fresh as I remember them to be. The salads are better, but not anything worth the price. For a better sandwich at this cost go to Donner, just around the corner from this poorly executed establishment that caters towards the business class that does know better. They are under new management. I doubt there is much of a change.

I don’t like to write negative reviews. But I hope the shop sees this one so they can address the issue for future customers. I normally love Aloha Salads(my home base is Kahala– but I’ve been to this location a couple of times previous with no issue). But today I was sorely disappointed when my $ 16 salad(ahi thrown in) had a fat wad of old gross and slimy lettuce. Like when you buy in bulk at Costco and don’t finish it. And I know it’s supposed to be local lettuce so I’m not sure… I didn’t notice until I got home. But that’s not ok when a customer is paying that much and it’s supposed to be local and fresh produce. I noticed the lettuce is now being stored in the fridge/ice scooper like compartments. I don’t know if that’s the issue. Or it was just old lettuce. But hoping they can keep a better eye on their lettuce they are serving. Probably going to avoid this one for a while :(

Quality has gone done, customer service has gone done, options have been eliminated, and prices have gone up. I don’t think I’ll be coming back.

Well the food was good but when I got my food it wasn’t severed with what the menu said all the workers looks miserable to work there at least fake a smile for customer service when they rang me up they weren’t too friendly and I went when it wasn’t even busy and took so long to get a simple wrap it’s funny too because the sign out front says under new management to better serve you well might as well take that down I will just go to the one in kapolei

I gave this Aloha Salads so many chances. The problem is not the food, it is 100% the poor service. I have been here a total of 5 times. 4⁄5 times they have left something out of my bag or just made the order completely wrong. The staff is never very apologetic and acts like it happens often. Please pay attention to the order ticket and please make sure what you are giving the customers what they pay for. I also come at non peak times, where i may be the only customer sometimes. FYI– stay away from this place during lunch hours if you are hungry. You will wait, and probably wont get the correct order. Aloha Salads, please get better. Let your service match your fresh and delicious food. Dont become another downtown business that shuts down.

Quick, healthy, and tasty. All the items on their menu sound delicious, but I always find myself ordering their Big Island Beet Salad and Tomato Bisque Combo and only for $ 9.95! If you’re in the downtown area and need a quick bite, Aloha Salad is definitely worth trying.

This place gets crazy busy probably because it’s one of the only healthy options around downtown to grab lunch so I would recommend getting there around 11:30 a.m. or getting there around 12:30 p.m. to miss the crowd. I’ve never been disappointed with the quality or freshness of the food here. My order is always made exactly the same no matter who is preparing it. The servers are really friendly and polite. Because I like to customize my order a lot and substitute /add items to my salad or sub I need to always check my order after its made as many, many times it isn’t made exactly how I ordered it. So just be careful to check your order before you walk all the way back with it to your office and then realize you don’t have chicken in your salad or something. That’s the only reason I give this place a four stars, everything else earns FIVE stars for sure!!!

Hard to find parking but the Aloha Passion Salad makes it worth the hassle. This is my third time in a weeks time that this amazing meal has touched my lips. Steak, cranberries, blue cheese mango, pears, cherry tomatoes on a bed of fresh organic greens. Served with a couple slices of pita bread. The perfect lunch!

I feel so conflicted about this place. Last time, I had a terrible experience waiting for my order. Since then, the server has drastically improved. The workers are so polite and nice. It’s like a totally different staff although the faces look familiar. The only thing that gets me is that sometimes the quality of food items is hit or miss. I ordered the chicken curry wrap, which I have ordered many times in the past, and this time it basically was inedible. As soon as I bit into the thing, curry sauce sprayed everywhere. It just dripped and dripped so much that the wrapper basically looked like a poorly done Jackson Pollock. It was so saturated that the pita fell apart, and most of the contents just spilled out. I gave up mid-way through and just trashed the thing. It was pretty disappointing because when the food is good, it is really good. I think I will just stick to the aloha passion salad. That is pretty good consistently.

I started going to Aloha Salads after I discovered how delicious their tomato soup is. And the best part was that the cashier could make the soup quickly so I didn’t have to wait behind all of the sandwich/salad orders UNTIL… I went in one afternoon and ordered the 8oz soup. The cashier made it and handed it to the manager at the bagging station. The manager immediately turned around and publicly scolded the cashier for over filling the soup. He made a new soup, obviously putting less in the container, and tried to hand it to me. I had paid for extra parmesean which was already in the soup the cashier made. So I told the manager I would just like to take the one the cashier made since it was already fixed the way I ordered. He said, loudly, no! I only paid for an 8oz soup and he was giving me an 8oz soup. He even made a point to pull out the soup ladle and show me that it’s a 4oz scoop, so two scoops is what I paid for. I told him that’s fine I understand but asked what was he going to do with the soup the cashier made since it was already fixed with extra cheese. He said rudely he was going to throw it away. I asked that he not waste it because I’d like to have that one and he said no again and shoved the soup he made over the counter at me. Needless to say, I have never gone back again but they’ve also lost the business of my entire office. We place large group orders regularly(11+ meals) and my office now also refuses to order from this jerk.

I’m sad to say my take on this place has done down… I used to love Aloha Salad, as they provided a healthier alternative to some of the downtown lunch spots. They’ve been booming since their doors opened, but their quality has definitely gone down. Ordered a cobb salad for close to $ 11, and after a 15-minute wait was disappointed with my grub. I knew I should have ordered ahead, but a 15-minute wait on a salad? There’s gotta be a way to better manage the efficiency here. I further made the mistake of having my dressing tossed in, only to find globs of dressing in the salad, which totally takes away from the healthy angle I was shooting for. I instantly regretted my mix-in option since the entire salad was one, big gooped-together mess. Maybe it’s just this location, but I hope they improve upon their delivery, both in time and in taste.

Aloha from Aloha Salads The line does move quick, the location is convenient right on Bishop St. So just walk once downtown, if you have to take the car out of parking to drive here you should consider yourself a nut, because parking in downtown is almost as difficult as parking in Waikiki. Busy business people roam the sidewalks amongst them are the HPU students and random homeless that adore the sidewalks with ever more noticeable wardrobes, this of course is expected here as in any city center. The food is packaged to go, when you get to the computer screen again and unwrap you are not disappointed but only if you also got the pickle to go. Overall the experience is more than satisfactory, the food will keep you moving and it’s not a bad way to get your veggies in, there is no one perfect place for salad and this place delivers more than most for your taste buds and your dollar. Happy Eating ! Bogs

As a committee member, the company I work for will pay for the lunches when we have lunch meetings. This is why I started to Aloha Salad… one of my fellow committee members suggested grabbing lunch from there. Let’s just point out the elephant in the room — yes, it is more on the pricey side being that a salad or the soup/salad combo is about $ 10. But, you get a filling, delicious meal that won’t break your diet(and as an office worker, I need to watch those calories!). What got me hooked was their tomato bisque. Creamy and smooth, it is one of the few tomato dishes I’ll eat. I normally hate tomatoes and all the things tomatoes are used in, but this soup is so good, that it has caused me to give tomatoes a second chance. Once, I actually got this soup every day that week. The soup comes with two pieces of warm pita bread. I normally get the soup and salad combo. I’m a plain Jane and normally get the Caesar salad or mandarin orange salad. However, to be a bit different, I always add avocado — I love avocado! There is a lot of choices and combinations(just imagine the substitutions and add ons and how much more variety that can offer). Also, if you’re like me and don’t want to struggle with mixing the salad dressing into the salad, then ask for them to mix the salad for you. The food is good, but the reason why I give only 4 stars is because the service can be hit or miss with the speed. Sometimes it can be extremely quick to get my order, but other times, it can take at least 15 minutes to get my order when there’s only three people in front of me.

Today was my second time eating at a «Aloha Salads» but my first time trying the location on bishop street. I got the«aloha Cesar w /chicken breast» it was alright. I’ve had better salads worth my money. Estimating the price for my salad, it was 10 bucks. After eating my salad, I realized it wasn’t worth it. Customer service: customer service here was awful. It was around 4:00 pm, place was nearly empty besides couple people already eating this salads. I literally waited by the cash register for about 5 whole minutes while there was 4 workers out in the front just ignoring that I’m there waiting. May I remind you, there was no line. Just me! Like really? I’m sure that out of 1 of the four workers could’ve gave good customer service and take my order. Even after taking my order, they took another 5 – 8 minutes to take my Auntys order, whom she was standing right behind me. I work in the food business as well, and from what I was taught; when a customer is standing in line to order their food, you take their order. Never coming here again!

Healthy lunch choices that run the gamut from salads, soups, subs and wraps make this a popular downtown lunch spot. Lunch combo is $ 9.95 with your pick of two items: soup, salad, ½ sandwich. Favorite item is the Tomato bisque; delicious, savory and creamy smooth topped with fresh cilantro. Great with a half turkey sandwich and chips! On the other hand, service at the peak lunch hour is sadly poor. Have to laugh that my simple order got messed up – wrong bread and worst, wrong ingredients! Blame it on short staffing said a server. Best to go early or late; and check your items before you leave. The sandwich maker took the longest and messed up the most! Lol!

I always pass by this place when I’m walking thru downtown but never stopped in until today. Got there a little before noon and there was no line. Sweet! After being overwhelmed by the choices on the menu, I decided to order the combo($ 9.95+tax) which includes a choice of two: *½ signature sub (excludes wraps, kale salads, kalo burger, kahuku spinach, ono island ahi, caesar with ahi, shrimp or steak) *small salad *small soup [sub/soup combo comes with chips]; add med soda for $ 1 I got the ½ club sub(turkey breast, bacon, avocado, tomato, lettuce, mayo) on wheat bread — I liked that the chibatta-like wheat bread was chewy(loved the texture) and wasn’t dry. mmm. the turkey was like any other processed deli meat and the tomato was sliced super thick that I had to take it out. avo and lettuce was fresh, nice. AND small salad — kamuela club(avocado, grape tomatoes, egg, bacon, chicken breast, mixed greens, herb ranch(sans bleu cheese) — MMM! salad is fresh and packed with goodies. this is a «small» salad?! wow, I could barely finish this when eating the half sub! I can appreciate grape tomatoes that aren’t squishy and crispy lettuce that isn’t brown. The bacon was meh — it seemed to be the microwaveable kind that breaks like thin chips and the chicken was the super processed, refrigerated kind… not freshly made. They also serve wraps, which I wouldn’t mind trying sometime. As we began to eat, the entrance got packed with people and a line for ordering and pickup began to form. YIKES, this place gets so busy! There was ample seating — looks like most people do take-out here. Overall, the veggies are super fresh and tasty — but i’m not a huge fan of the processed chicken and turkey in their subs/salads. It was tasty, don’t get me wrong, i just figured for the price, this place would serve legit meats. Size of their combo was winners. I’d probably consider coming back sometime when I’m in the area and want something healthy… and maybe to update my review and add some stars on! :)

Wow! What a difference from the kailua location. The workers here are much more friendly without the attitude either. They could take some tips from this place. The only downside here is the location. Street side parking on Bishop st. If your lucky or metered parking on Richard st. if your lucky too. Either way its worth the hassle. The salads here are just great. If you haven’t been here, you should definitely give it a try. My favorite here is the Paniola.
