Love Andrew ohh that’s the owner by the way. It’s like going into the cheers for food. He is so laid back and personable it makes the experiences worthwhile. Food is good and service is usually to the letter.

This is a sushi place I think, but how come after I ordered my roll I hear a microwave being turned on. Next, man walks in and says to worker, «oh it’s busy today.» Except I was the only customer in this place. My recommendation is always pay attention to number of reviews not just the rating.

I’ve been to other Aloha Sushi places and this by far the least appetizing. I normally order the Unagi roll and Shrimp Tempura at other places for a quick bite and it’s always tasty and satisfying. The Unagi roll had a minuscule amount of eel, too much sauce that isn’t normally on this roll so it was just strange and I discarded most of it. The tempura roll is pretty hard to mess up but somehow they managed to ruin the most simple roll, with a cold shrimp and more mayo then accrual shrimp! Overall a total waste and I’ll pass on this establishment and opt for the Aloha Sushi on Ala Moana instead.

It is C H E A P. Can’t say I liked the american fast food + sushi concept. Anyway. Sushi is ok, definetely better than supermarket sushi. Lots of rise. Salmon eggs were SUPERB, I was definetely surprised, they were much better than way more expensive restaurants I have been into. Place is clean. Miso soup is good. Owners very nice. For the price it is really good.

The owners are nice. The place seems fairly clean. You get free miso soup if you spend over $ 7. They now serve burgers, fries, cheesecake, onion rings, etc… which is a bit strange, but I may try one of these days. The food definitely isn’t anything close to real Japanese good, but it’s in a convenient location for me. I go about once every 6 months.

Very clean, reasonable price, enough volume, nice and kind Korean owner. it is not a good place for drinking Sake but you can eat or take out thier delicious sushi with good price. Compare to Waikiki’s other expensive sushi bars, thier food is better or same.

I wanted so bad to love this place. The lady working was so nice and seriously very helpful. As a Californian who was visiting HI I went down for a quick bite. I had ebi sushi and also a spicy tuna roll that had avocado and cucumber in it. It was what I ordered, very clean, and I don’t have any complaints about quality or the service. But taste-wise it was merely okay.

My wife, daughter and I were looking for some good sushi close to out hotel in Waikiki. We read a few good reviews of this place, so we took a short walk and had dinner at Aloha Sushi. This is a very small establishment with only a couple of tables and no sushi bar or table service. It seems to be primarily a take-out spot, so if you are looking for any atmosphere at all, this is not your destination. That said, the place is impeccably clean, the owners are super friendly and the dishes are high quality. We tried: Miso Soup(Free with an $ 8 purchase): Excellent Ahi Poke: Excellent Spicy tuna roll: Excellent Cucumber roll: Very Good Ahi roll: Very Good Ikura nigiri: Good Ahi nigiri: Good Drinks are all canned or bottled, so no warm sake to go with your meal. Available desserts are ice cream or mochi(chocolate, strawberry and green tea). In the end we had an enjoyable dinner at a super price, but we were a bit disappointed as we were looking for a more traditional sushi bar. As long as the food is the only reason you are going, Aloha is worth a look.

Best sushi place in that area! Especially after visiting Choco house downstairs. Lil cozy place where u can eat inside or order take out, reasonable prices, FRESH sushi and nice owners. I always try different dish everytime we come, but never dissaponted. Well, of course we are not in Japan(and I’ve been to Japan, tried real sushi) and can’t compare, but I think for Hawaii it tastes pretty good. And yessss, yogurt ice cream! They shouldn’t have it there, seriously, ice cream is my weakness lol :) I like that they are pretty fast in making those nigiri and rolls, and I remember my first and last time in Choco House downstairs when it took them good 30 mins for all the food to come out, partially tho. I’m there once week to grab a quick dinner. LOVE this place!

This is one of the best Sushi Restaurants in Honolulu. It is not fancy, but the owners are very nice. The Sushi is made fresh and they have a wide variety of sushi as well as other Japanese foods. They have take out orders and also have Frozen Yogurt. They have recently moved to this location. We always enjoy their sushi when we visit Honolulu every January.,
