Finally tried this place for the first time without really understanding how everything worked. One of the servers, Gary, was walking by and asked if he could help… that guy is a real G. Told me about the Wednesday deal to load up your wine card up to $ 50 for the price of $ 30, then showed me how to use the wine machines. Although, that $ 50 went pretty quick so I loaded another $ 100 for next time. The best thing on the Happy Hour is the Hummus on bread. I also ordered ahi poke and grilled tako from the regular menus which were delicious. Keep it mind that the portions tend to be small for both items. Around 7pm, the live musician comes and plays some lady killer songs. I liked that he threw in some of his own riffs on the electric guitar, good enough to warrant dropping bills in his jar. Overall the experience was excellent. Prompt service from Gary, good food, classy atmosphere, talented musicians, and a variety of choices on wines.

Caveat Lector: I absolutely love wine! Nuff said. I stopped in with a friend not to long ago for our usual get together. I had always intended of visiting, but until this point something kept me from going. As I walked in my eyes were transfixed on the endless bottles of wine, seemingly cascading from the right side of the room. Then, my attention was drawn to the wine carousels. Knowing wine to be, on occassion a pricey endeavor, I felt much like Indiana Jones when he entered the Grail Room(I have to chose wisely), but that wasn’t the case. Amuse had this special of sorts, where you buy a $ 30 card and get $ 50 worth of drinks. Then I felt like Matt Damon in «Rounders»…I’m all in. So, you walk around the carousels and insert your card and they allow you to sample the wine(for a small price of course). If you like it, you can opt for a glass. Not bad. Great selections, good prices. Im hooked. Oh and atmosphere is great too.(Can you tell I was focused on the wine). Haha.

Excellent place to go on a night out with the girls or a fun date night! My old college buddy brought me here on a weeknight for their happy hour. It’s located inside of a business building just past a cute little modern furniture store. There were specials on vino and appetizers all night long! I ordered some hummus that came on flatbread with fresh tomatoes and some other goodness. The hummus itself was fantastic! So they give you cards to load up your money on and you can go around and do the tastings with your wine card. Love this concept. It was pretty cool because they had a ton of wines on tap to try! One of my favorite wines lately is Meiomi’s pinot noir and I was so happy that they had it in their selection. You can purchase the wines by the glass or taste them by the ounce. There were reds, whites, even sparkling ones to try. You could experience a good quality, high dollar wine without paying an arm & a leg and your first born… I’m sold! They also had some lounge chairs, very cozy seating and live music at night! The night we went there was a lovely neo soul style artist playing. I can dig it! This was one of my favorite places I visited in Honolulu. If you’re a wine lover make sure you put this place on your list of spots to try. Can’t wait to go back to check out some more fun things in that area.

This is a really good place to go if you want to hang out with friends and chill. It is part of the Inspiration building on the 2nd floor. It’s so convenient because parking is free and there usually are a lot of spaces open. Get your parking ticket validated just in case the gate is still down when you leave. Usually when I leave, I stay so long that the gate is already up when I leave the building. Sometimes during busy nights they have free valet service. Don’t forget to tip them though. They have changed the Happy Hour menu quite a bit since last year. They got rid of the specialty cocktails on the Happy Hour menu. It used to be $ 5 for most of their specialty cocktails from 5pm-7pm. I wish they still had it because i loved their Orange Dreamsicle cocktail! SOOOOBUMMED. Since they don’t offer the specialty cocktails for Happy Hour, I chose one of the two beers they had on $ 4 special. They also have a board with other drink specials that change daily behind the bar. Ordered food off of the $ 5 Happy Hour menu and got the Mini Grilled cheese(comes with 3 pieces), Stage BBQ Fries, Hummus Crostini(4 pieces), and Button Mushrooms. All of which I enjoyed. $ 5 is quite a deal! On Wednesdays they offer the $ 50 wine cards for $ 28. Really good deal if you are planning on trying their wine selection in the center of the venue. Service is always really good here. Our waiter Gary ALWAYS takes good care of us. Always a pleasure to go back.

Just went to Amuse the other night and was informed that they no longer have $ 5 cocktails for happy hour :(you can order basic $ 5 mixed drinks(i.e. Redbull vodka) and they offer $ 6 glasses of wine. Service is still super friendly but hard to get a hold of! $ 45 spent on happy hour for two petite young ladies to snack seems steep! This was going to be my new go-to, but I suppose it’ll be my go-to happy hour on days I’m feeling fancy! I recommend the mini grilled cheese & button mushrooms on the happy hour menu.

It’s about time I write a little something about this place. I don’t know why it has taken me so long. Perhaps I needed to make sure I was fully convinced of this place besides the nice, trendy ambiance down to the food. My work function was held in a nice and spacious private room overlooking Pensacola St. All I can say is I have been turned into a beer snob. Okay, perhaps I’ve always been a beer snob. It all started with the Amuse Wine Card(purchase for $ 2). Minimum is $ 20 to charge the card($ 20 is not nearly enough). There are 80 select wine labels to choose from and I chose to stay with my dessert wine. I’ve learned to adore Robert Mondavi’s Moscato D’oro. I should have just purchased myself a bottle. Customer service is amazing here and the servers and wine connoisseurs are always available for advice. Throughout the evening, there were Button Mushrooms, Steamed Soy Beans, Mini Grilled Cheese, Hummus Crostini, BBQ Fries to balance the alcohol. My favorite of the night were the button mushrooms and the Stage signature sliders. The mushrooms are sauteed wonderfully with lots of garlic and herbs, giving the texture more feel than the typical rubber. I’m normally not a big fan of hamburgers. If they’re made right, I don’t mind eating lots of them. In this case, the sliders were über delicious, made with certified angus beef. This would be my second visit at Amuse and they have not disappoint. My most favorite would be their unique wine dispensing kiosks and the wine selections are aplenty. Parking is validated and they are next to Stage inside the Honolulu Design Center.

Nice place for wine tasting. Happy hour specials are pretty good, tried the grilled cheese sandwiches, which had a hit of truffle butter. Hamachi sashimi was ok… Slices were very small.

Let’s just say, such awesome deals for happy hour! And there are different deals each day of the week! My favorite is the $ 50 gift card for $ 28, making it such a great deal to try all their wines at the bar! The only problem I had was I wish there was a map of the wines served so I plan which wine I wanted ahead of time instead of tediously reading each label one after the other and then deciding if I wanted to try it or not. Food was really good! I really liked their truffle grilled cheese and the hummus crostini on the $ 5 menu! Not enough to satisfy my appetite, so we also got the sliders and brussel sprouts for satiety. =P Drinks were really good too! I wish they clarified that there was a difference between the moscow mule and the stage mule… I’d assume they were the same, apparently not… moscow mule costs more than stage mule, but practically the same thing… if only the waitress clarified. Still tasty thought! Overall, great happy hour experience! Great place to socialize with your co-wokers and get to know them better over good drinks and food! =D

First time visiting yesterday and love the concept! I enjoy wine, but not necessarily having a full glass. For me this concept suits me better, kinda like the way I like to eat, a little bit of everything rather than 1 large entrée. Wait help/servers were always around, inquiring if you wanted more food, how everything was, etc. Couldn’t ask for better service. There’s nothing worse than having to flag down staff for a water refill or wanting to order more food, definitely NOT the case here. Had a totally enjoyable night and will certainly come back again! Also, I’m coming back for the grilled cheese sandwiches! Goes

It’s a small little place that’s strangely tucked in on the second floor of a furniture store. My wife and I walked around for awhile trying to find it before realizing that the furniture store was called«Amuse,» so I decided we should check it out to see if they were related. Sure enough, up on the second floor there’s this small little wine bar. Service was totally ok. The people were really nice, but it seemed like they were running back and forth between the wine bar and the proper restaurant back behind. This led to them being a little absentee, but since we were just taking it easy anyway, it didn’t really affect us. If you’re in a hurry, though, it’s probably something to keep in mind. The drinks are a little pricey, but the food was actually really solid. We were there early-ish and it was pretty quiet, but by the time we left it had definitely filled out(and had some live music, which seemd like a bit much).

I would ACTUALLY give this place a 3.5 stars. Maybe I’m too much of a beer kinda girl to really fully appreciate a wine bar… …Matter of fact that’s probably EXACTLY it. Amuse seems like a great place to network with the suit and ties, or to have a mid afternoon cocktail with your fitted girls, maybe even something for a schnazzy date or a nice bachelorette dinner. Service is nill to none unless you go and ask for one. Have fun sampling wines, honestly though, if there was something saving this place it’s the dudes in the back making the food. BECAUSETHATSTUFFISBOMB. Button Mushrooms and Grilled Cheese forever please. Food here is delicious. Wine bar? How about Food bar. PS. located inside the high end IKEA.

Wine night wednesdays!!! Went out for happy hour with a few of the girls and we really enjoyed ourselves. When you get there you can fill up a card and pay $ 30 but you get $ 50 on the card. You sample wines. They have a great variety! We ordered 2 orders of the grilled cheese,(which were amazing, and my favorite) 2 orders of the mushrooms(they were just ok, nothing special), 2 orders of the baked brie(was good, but nothing to write home about) baked Brussel sprouts(ah-may-zing, so delicious!!!), the hummus,(just ok, prob won’t order that again) and an order of the fish tacos(super super delicious, my second favorite thing) It did get a little crowded and noisey for a little bit but I think that’s because there was an event. There was live music and he was GOOD! The wine and food were excelent. Great variety of both! The service was top notch. The place was modern and very delightful! We had a great time and can’t wait to go back!!!

Yay wine! Wine tasting with friends is even better! :) The best part about Amuse is that you can sample a variety of wines in an array of price ranges, from $ 1 to $ 10! How It Works: Grab a table, these can go quickly if there is a good crowd that night. You walk up to the bar to get your prepaid Wine Card(or reload an existing card) and your wine glass. There are a few different cases separating the wines by type. Each case has a card slot where you insert your prepaid card. Hold up your glass to the spigot and press the button for the wine you wish to sample. It dispenses one ounce of wine to sample. If you want more than one ounce, press the button again, and again… and again. LOL Most of the time the button mashing occurs in the Moscato case. ;) If you don’t like the wine, head over to the bar again and ask for a fresh glass, no worries. Each time you insert your wine card into the slot, it’ll tell you your balance so you can keep track. I LOVE this style of tasting because I am happy to pay $ 9 for a one ounce sample knowing that a full bottle would set me back a few hundred easy. The deal: check out the website for weekly specials and discounts and happy hours. Tuesday is military appreciation, get a $ 50 value for $ 30(28 to reload) The Food: A pretty good menu provided by adjoining Stage restaurant. Food service can sometimes be a little slow but for the most part, staff is always really friendly! mini tacos, sliders, gourmet grill cheese, bruschetta, and dessert. omg dessert!

Keep it classy and drink some wine. ;) I don’t go here too often but when I do, I enjoy the whole concept of the wine bar tasting and taking advantage of trying the variety of wine they offer. The Amuse Wine Bar is located in the Honolulu Design Center on the 2nd floor with free parking. They’re open Tuesdays — Saturdays from 5pm — to 10pm(11pm on Fridays). It’s such a fun experience to do wine tasting as you can pick and choose whichever you want from over 80 unique wine dispensing bottles. They also have a couple of beer tap tables also but mainly best known for the various of wine that you can taste. It serves about one ounce samples for every bottle. The prices for each sample depends on the type of wine you get. You will need to get an Amuse Wine Card in order to use the dispensers. The best deal on the card would be on Wednesday and Saturdays. Load up a $ 50 wine card and only pay $ 30. I’ve had mines for a couple years now and I still haven’t finished it! When you mix wine samples, you get drunk faster maybe that’s why I never really drank more than a glass worth. Lol. Before you know it those one ounce samples can catch up to you. Luckily, they serve food here. They have happy hour from 5pm — 7pm with $ 5 pupu specials and also signature cocktails and draft beer for more drinking pleasures. The last time I visited here on a Friday around 8pm, it wasn’t too busy at all. We were able to get a table right away. Service was friendly and helpful in deciding wine choices as well. Great for pau hana or even a great place to let loose and relax after one of them stressful days! There’s lots of tables and couches to lounge around and talk stories.

This place was a little bit tricky to find but well worth the hunt for. For those of you deciding to go get some wine, go through the furniture store Inspiration(that looks like an Ikea) and go upstairs… that is where the wine will be waiting for you! The place has a nice chill vibe to it, some what hipster-ish. They had an incredible singer that night that was honestly really really good! She herself made my experience super awesome. I swear! She was really really good! Such an amazing talent. They had a few wine machines for tasters. I wish the info was located on the menu they handed to me because it would have made my decision easier for the night, instead I had to ask about it. The thing is that sometimes I don’t like to ask so it would have been nice to be at least informed when the menu was handed to me. In the end I had a nice glass of cab and some delicious warm pineapple crips(yup! you read that right, pineapple!!) Holy ice cream and pineapple! This was honestly the bomb! I regret not getting my own and confirming with the husband that it was ok to share this dish. do not share it! Trust me! Get your own. They also have a happy hour from 5pm to 7pm Tuesdays through Fridays. $ 5 dishes such as hummus, fries, and even baked mussels as well as some cocktails. Great music, sweet and tasty desserts, and nice wine selection! Nice spot to come hang out for a bit.

Just went to amuse tonight! Amuse is a great location to meet up with friends after work. The wine isn’t the best selection, but the servers are excellent, the food is reasonably priced and delicious, and there is ample seating. Wins all around! I would recommend amuse to my friends, and if they improve the wine selection, and turn down the amp just a bit when the live music is playing, this place will deserve 5 stars.

Super fun! What a cool concept. Buy a card with whatever amount you want(minimum of $ 20) on it and taste lots of wines you might other wise never taste. Friday night with live music by a really talented young guy. The wait staff was really nice and attentive. The kitchen closes around 8:45 btw. The food looked good. Wish we could’ve tried some. My friend who lives here was hyped I took him here. He’ll be going back for sure.

Eek! I really like Amuse. It’s a great bar, serving good food. I have been here a few times, and they also have great entertainers there. I especially love the Asian guy who sings R&B…he is AMAZING. The live musicians alone, are a good reason to come here. The bar is located in the Inspiration furniture store, and it is a pretty space with lots of windows. They also have the wine machines where you load funds onto a card, and insert the card into the wine stations to try the wines. These types of wine bars are fun… when the machines are working. This last time we went, the machines were out of order, so we only had a few options of wine available. That was disappointing, but I should also note they serve mixed drinks as well, but I come here for wine, so I hope they are able to fix the machines. I’ve often gotten some food while we’ve been there as well. The fries are good, their grilled cheese sandwich is delicious, and something I order every time I come to Amuse. I don’t, however, like the new bread. They used to give you one larger sandwich, this last time, I got these three smaller sandwiches. I prefer the old, larger sandwich. Their bacon and eggs is also a new fave for me. It comes with polenta, and it was really good… and so pretty. I would also totally recommend this place for happy hour. They have different specials each day, including Monday nights, where you can get $ 50 loaded onto your card for $ 28. That’s $ 22 of free wine… no brainier.

My experience here was a mixed bag. This is what I thought about Amuse. Parking– a bit confusing? When I pulled in, there were valet attendants standing around waiting for potential customers. There were no signs of valet parking. I asked the attendant if I could self park. He was a bit hesitant. Then he told me it was ok to pull into a stall. My question is? Is it only valet? Or, both? Atmosphere-clean, modern and hip. There are automated wine stations set up around the area. The wine stations are self serve. There is a bar and bartender that sells other alcoholic beverages for those who don’t enjoy wine. If you choose to drink wine, you need to purchase a wine card from the bar. They will also give you a wine glass, too. They had a special on Saturday night. The special was… you purchase a wine card for $ 30.00 but you receive $ 50.00 worth. What a deal! You get an extra $ 20.00. I love the fact that you can go around the wine stations and get a sample of different wines. You don’t have to get a full glass. Here’s what you need to do. You find the wine that you want to try, you stick the wine card into the machine. You place your wine glass under the spicket. You press a button and it pours out a little sample. Maybe, about an ounce or so. It is really fun. My colleagues and I had a lot of fun trying different wines. We all hung out by the whites and blush wine stations. Amuse has a limited amount of whites and blushes. There were more red stations. I wish they offered more blushes. Service– not so good. We weren’t greeted right away. Throughout our visit, we were forgotten and not checked on. They need to work on this. Disappointed. Also, they ran out of the last blush of the evening. It’s a wine bar, how can you run out? They have a huge glass wine cellar! Don’t they have more for ? Food– very good and reasonable. These are a MUST: Grilled cheese sandwiches: made with havarti cheese and truffle oil. So, good and so different. I already want more. Eggplant Parmesan-generous portion. It was very good and hearty. Salmon gravlax– generous portion. It was refreshing and light. Shrimp and pesto pizza– portion was ok. The combination of the flavors of the ingredients were perfect together. Other food we ordered: Fish tacos and boneless oriental buffalo wings All in all, I had a nice time at Amuse. The atmosphere, the food and the wine was good. Will return soon. It is a good place for hanging out with friends, family or colleagues. Go, check it out!

This is one of my favorite happy hours, and there’s no hassle in getting there(parking is easy — and FREE!) So why is Wednesday the best night to go? Well, it’s when wine lovers can fill up their re-loadable wine card with $ 50 for only $ 28! Can you say deals?! If you’re buying a card for the first time you’ll be paying $ 30 — it’s $ 2 extra for the card. Once you’ve got your card just find the wine you want, stick your card in the nearest slot, and hit the button! The atmosphere is very comfortable and modern. When I come here after work I feel like a lawyer after a hard day in court(via the Good Wife). Happy hour includes $ 5 cocktails, along with pupu and beer specials.(Yes, don’t be afraid to bring the men — there’s beer, too!) Order the grilled cheese! Yes, it’s simple, but it’s damn good. Whether you want to sit inside in the(dark) wine cellar atmosphere, or in the lounge area(«Ice Room») where the ceiling-high windows make for some beautiful light as the sun goes down, there’s a place for everyone. Don’t forget to stay for the live music! It starts at 7pm most nights. HAPPYHOUR: Tuesday — Friday, 5pm — 7pm PARKING: Free inside the Honolulu Design Center parking structure.
