Best doctor ever. Very friendly and takes the time to make sure you are okay. Love his staff too. One of the top rheumatology doctor in the state. He gets 2 thumbs up from me.

A WONDERFUL PROVIDER 5 STARS!
I am a Registered Nurse, so I know the ins and outs of healthcare. I went to see Dr. Ken Arakawa as a last resort for my health symptoms.
1) Wonderful bedside manner, you really feel that he is listening to your concerns. Very caring
2) WOW! He has an X-​Ray room and Lab IN HIS office! I was shocked really. AND… His X-​RAY equipment is like supper HIGH TECH! I was asking the X-​RAY tech how come he wasn’t changing the films. He said they go automatically to the computer!!! So, so convenient. You don’t have to go somewhere else to get x-​rays or labs. Saves you time and driving/​parking. The X-​Ray and Lab staff were very pleasant, professional and knew what they were doing (as an RN, I have had to do lab draws and escort patients to X-​Ray so I know that this staff knew what they were doing. Plus as I said the X-​RAY equipment was more high tech than Kaiser where I worked)
3) Ease of appointment scheduling, and the whole office staff were very pleasant and really made you feel like they care about you. Even making small talk.
4) Holy Cow! Dr. Arakawa was able to explain my condition, in the simplest layman terms ever! As an RN, I know a lot, and thought I knew a lot about my condition. The way he explained it, even a child would understand. This is what he told me:
–Fibromyalgia: He said there are no tests to diagnose (because I asked and wondered how can he diagnose with out tests to confirm)
–His answer: There are many medical conditions for which we have a diagnosis, but there are no tests to confirm. For example, migraines: there is no blood test or xrays/​MRIs/​etc to diagnose a migraine. However, we KNOW that migraines exist, and that they are a REAL physical symptom. In addition, he said that since the medicine that I am currently taking helps my symptoms, it adds to confirm that this is what I have. He said we will do a trial of one medication that is known to help this condition; and if it works, it will confirm his assumptions.
–WOW! for me, that was the most amazing answer ever, and one that I as a healthcare professional could understand and accept. I would so totally recommend Dr. Arakawa to any and everyone! He is wonderful! 5 STARS +
