BAMPPROJECTISFUCKINGAWESOME! They brought down bands and artists that I never thought I would ever be able to see because I live in Hawaii. This company brings concerts of all kinds of different genre like reggae, EDM, alternative, country, indie, and even comedian acts. I just want to say how thankful I am that this company exists and is bringing music to Hawaii. BAMP Project turned my dreams into reality bringing down bands like Incubus, Yellowcard, All Time Low, The Naked and Famous, Young The Giant, and sooooooo many more! I can’t wait to see who they bring down next. Keep it up BAMP Project!

TGFB — THANKGODFORBAMP! I love attending concerts when I can — mostly dependent on my money situation, and if artists and bands I enjoy come to town. However, my hometown in Seattle, where many an artist come through for their tour stops. But this is Hawaii. And they’re the only promoter that brings acts to this island. Seriously. Basically every show on this island is presented by BAMP Project, and if it weren’t for them, the music scene here would be pathetic. They bring all sorts of acts to town. Various genres from EDM to country, and they’ve even brought in comedy acts. Many of the shows they’ve brought in have also sold out, so they clearly know what they’re doing. Huge kudos to BAMP, and keep it up for the future!

Every since I’ve started going to UH Manoa and transitioning from Kauai to Oahu, I knew immediately that I needed to attend some concerts, because Kauai doesn’t get too many. So with the tremendous amounts of work that BAMP Project has provided for all of the islands and the people who inhabit them. I would just like to say that I’ deeply thankful for everything that BAMP Project has done and continuing to do for Hawaii!

Atmosphere, Incubus, Future Islands to start off 2015??? BAMP is killing it with these amazing shows!!! Since BAMP has been around, Oahu is getting the love it deserves to get its musical fix!!! It seems like every week, a new show is getting announced which is good and bad… Good because I can see my favorite acts in the flesh… but bad… because tix cost $$$$ so I end up broke like a joke. but hey.you can put a price on musical memories right??? BAMP, keep it up!!! I’m excited to see who they’re bringing in next!!!

BAMP I always wondered where all of these 3 by 5 inch flyer cards were coming from promoting dance music bands when I was walking on my way from Makiki to Ala Moana Building going to work. This is before I knew about the Republik and the awesome shows that are promoted there. Now I know it is BAMP, the owners and promoters of the Safehouse and the Republik. The BAMP website and the Republik sites look very similar and link well. Now I understand it is the same people promoting music in HI. So– I had this review almost finished on a different computer in a Word doc. And then before I post — I get an instant message, «Do you want an Elite Badge?» Heck Yeahhhhh!!! I’ve been hoping to get a badge for soooooo long. On my birthday this year, was just home and hand rice and chicken. Birthday, not a big enough deal to celebrate, getting elite– party time! On my Badge Day– I went out to the Safehouse/Republik/Iron DJ Challenge/DJ XL HipHop 101 Night with Bacardi. For $ 25– I got a great bacon burger, fries, a crafted cocktail, a whisky coke and a Bacardi shot. I was happy. Good music and good food– can’t go wrong. That is how you promote and make real fans for music. Here is the middle ground for upcoming music artists. Once an artist is getting big enough to gain a fan base — he or she wants a venue that sounds professional and can charge a fair price to hear a professional performance instead of the back community center room within a church and having all of mom’s friends ohh and ahh at how big he/she is. The stadium is too big for a new band/small venues make it just not worth it at some point. Stepping up the professional game to a quality level is the way to pave success in the music industry and luckily we have a quality venue that promotes great music well. Just making a comment based on another reviews comment. I too wondered why just after 1 show I was at that ended at about 10 pm– the lights turned on and everyone had to leave the Republik, my concert was over but it was different compared to the great shows I am used to in Chicago. It is a small venue compared to Red Rock or Alpine Valley or other stadium music venues. It is the biggest venue solely dedicated to music so I understand that they may have 2 different shows in 1 night. they are upfront that the ticket price for each show is different– so I would suppose that the onus is on me to ask someone more about that event night. I can also understand that they would not like to refund tickets– especially if you emailed the next day. If there was a hurricane warning and the City and County closed your neighborhood– I would argue that this case is beyond control and I would ask for a refund or a comparable ticket. I’m not trying to be negative– just HI is very different, from Hawaiian time to things happen, time is different here in HI. My humble advice is go early, enjoy some happy hour specials– talk to the bar tender to get a feel for what the night will be like for the night or just up coming events, and be a little flexible. They are doing their best to promote their artists– that means making the fans coming back to support so go early and get an idea about expectations and then it will make future events that much better. My 2 cents.

Purchased a ticket a month in advance for a show I was so very excited to see. Got a sitter, all dolled up, ready for a rare night out. The ticket stated doors opened at 8pm so I assumed there would be an opening band. Got there at 9:30 only to see everyone leaving. Turns out the show was over and they were clearing out the venue so they could start the next booked show. I spent $ 50 on a worthless ticket. If I had been told the show starts at a time and would end 2 hours later, I would have been aware of getting there on time. Asked for a refund in a very professional manner thru email and was declined. Disappointed in the crummy, selfish way this company is looking to charge a $ 10 service fee per ticket, in addition to double booking a venue and not stating clearly on the website or ticket that the show has clear and defined start and end times. Booooo to Bamp.

I love that BAMP brings in some good concerts to Hawaii. Just about every good concert you’re going to see is put on by BAMP. My only two wishes are: 1. Post the opening bands. BAMP almost never post the opening bands and it’s really annoying because I don’t want to waste two hours if they blow. Do this = 4 stars. 2. More of a dream than might be possible, but bring in some smaller bands like Pierce the Veil, Local Natives, some of the bigger indie bands type. Probably much harder to do due to popularity out here, and/or smaller bands finances. But this is pretty much the only other thing I would want out of a concert promotion company. Do this = a perfect 5 stars. All-in-all, a great concert promotion company, just a few things that are annoying coming from a city with a more established music scene and more established concert promoters. But take care of one or two of those things and you’ve got yourself the perfect promotion company.

Saw Paramore last night at The Waterfront at Aloha Tower. the venue choice was good. However, it was disorganized. No one knew what line they were standing in and when we asked those working the event they had no clue either. Also, there was a lot of changing of lines. Standing in will call, then standing in a will call with ticket line, then splitting into under 21 and 21+. A lot of confusion of where to be standing. Also, security and barriers did not hold. Plastic barriers that are easily climbed over and zip ties to hold them together. fail! Sitting on the 21+ side closest to the stage, guys broke the barrier like it was nothing. Also the crowd was so great in the middle that it pushed the barrier and cramped the 21+ side. Also, there were people under 21 in this area. There was security, but there was only so much they can do with a crowd so great. Before Paramore came on, we moved because guys were talking to others on the other side about how they were going to tear down the barrier and we did not want to get trampled. The other 21+ side was farther from the stage, but there was much more air and space. Overall Paramore was awesome! I loved their performance, but if security and efficiency can be improved, it would have been a greater experience!

Unilocal 365 Challenge #07/365 Everyone wants to be entertained especially for all of us that lives in the middle of the Pacific. We mourn and lament, «why can’t this band come down?» However, in the recent years, there has been some pretty good bands coming to the islands. And with these good groups, I noticed the concert production company that has been hosting these events… BAMP Project. Thus my review because their venues have been increasingly successful. Normally I will purchase tickets through Ticketmaster but BAMP Project sells their tickets through their website or Local Motion locations. Their version of tickets? A plastic card! And they will email you a receipt verifying payment. Because their concerts are all age concerts, they have designated areas for 21& over. I am pretty impressed by their planning as well as locations(Aloha Tower and Kakaako Amphitheater). The bands? Here are a few… One Republic, Incubus(this past Friday), Paramore(8/24-sold out), 30 Seconds to Mars(9⁄29). Looking at these bands that they are bringing to the islands with successful ticket sales… all I can say is… Look out Hawaii, there is a new concert and entertainment production company in town that will make you look forward to the bands they bring to the islands(please bring Foo Fighters)!
