The meatball sub was awesome! The pizzz was ok, I ordered the combo slice and receieved the cheese, was super bummed when I got home and noticed. I also had to wait 5 mins or so for the worker to meet his dealer in the parking lot. I guess it was my fault for going later in the evening on a Friday. All in all the meatball sub was good.

I got one of their pizza + soda deals… it was a tiny soda so I was annoyed. But the slice of pizza was a good size and when I tasted it… mmmm yummy. The sauce was semi sweet the cheese was as if id asked for extra cheese. Amazing. Then to top it off :) free refill! Definitely would come again.

food is good — yes get extra sauce b/c their marinara is good. their pizza is good. meatball sub is huge, needs two plates, that’s always good. sitting outside with oliver is good. ambience not so good — worker was nice but really quite disinterested in his job. i hope it lasts since so close to us but worried that it will go the way of tropicana — likely due to surly service.

Try the Stromboli, as good(if not better) than anything I have eaten on the east coast. Be sure to get extra sauce because it tastes great and you will run out.

I’m was Hawaii for the week and staying near Bella Mia. Right now they are running a $ 1.50 slice and soda from Monday to Friday and it is unbeatable. We have been going every day. The Pro’s: –Fast slices with a good crust and delicious sauce. –The guy making pizza is hilarious –Soda included! The Con’s: –The special may end soon(though a slice is $ 2.00) –There is one pizza oven so sometimes there is a little wait for food –Odd location, but apparently they deliver! Definitely try it!

So just to clarify, the dollar pizza deal is only available to those with a student ID. Learned that one the hard way thank you. Otherwise it’s $ 2.50-$ 3.00 for a very small floppy slice with wax paper stuck to the top that pulls all the cheese off.

ONEDOLLARPIZZA. TAKETHATCOSTCO! Yes. You heard me. One. Fucking. Dollar. Bella Mia, the ever so popular Italian cheap eats, has opened a new location on the corner of Waialae and St. Louis Heights. This new location adds to the übercoolness of the area, hanging out with the likes of Soul and Fat Greek. Although Tropicana will be missed(this was my hangout spot in high school), I certainly welcome one of my favorite restaurants. Unlike the other two locations, this is not waited service and also does not have the full menu. Mostly pizza is what you’ll find here, but there are also sandwiches and some baked dishes. The concept here is just give the college kids what they want, pizza. Take out, order and sit, whatever. The food is still the same greatness you’d expect from the other two locations, as pizza mastermind Jimmy has this place covered like he does the other two. I made it in today and was able to try to The Gramma Slice. «Because Gramma is sweet» was the explanation I was given behind the name. It was a simple cheese and tomato sauce pizza, but the flavors were very nice, delicate, and kind of sweet like I was told. I definitely made the right decision by not adding toppings, and I recommend everyone give this one a try(c’mon, it’s just a dollar!) So back to what I said earlier, ONEDOLLARSLICESOFPIZZA are between 3 and 5pm for the UHM collegians. But regardless of whether or not you make it between this happy hour of pizza goodness, Bella Mia has always been crazy-donkus cheap for pizza anyway. GOGOGO!
