Love the pictures Jon took of my fiancé and I! He was very professional and so much fun to work with. We really enjoyed the shoot. We went into it without any ideas, but Jon’s creativity was able to capture images we didn’t think WE would be able to take. We are so glad we had our engagement photos done with him. We will definitely be using him for our wedding photos too. His pictures far exceeded our expectations and we can’t wait to see how our wedding pictures turn out! Highly recommend to others!

We had been searching for the perfect place to get engagement pictures done and then we stubbled upon Jon. Let me just say he is one of the most amazing photographers I have ever met. He did such a great job with communicating with us and if we needed anything he would always respond. Hands down one of the best photographers in Hawaii. WOULD GIVE MORE THAN 5 STARS IF POSSIBLE!

Hands down would recommend Jon to take your pictures! He did my engagement pictures and the experience was phenomenal! Made my fiancé and I feel special the entire time! He was fun and energetic, which made the night that much more exciting! The shoot was fast paced and fun! And the pictures turned out amazing! I’m still in awe of how perfect the shoot was and how perfect our pictures turned out.

Jon is amazing! He is a great communicator and always answers emails and calls whenever you need him. He met with us prior to our wedding a few times to discuss which photos we wanted on our special day and even gave us an engagement shoot. On the day of our wedding he made us feel extremely comfortable and just went with the flow of the whole day. He got us our photos a few days after and they turned out AMAZING! He captured the most important moments of the day and now we have memories to treasure forever thanks to Jon.

You will be sorry not to use Jon! Our hotel booked him for family photos. He was immediately in contact with me. I told him what we wanted and he took us to a perfect location! Not only that he spent time with us, was very energetic and the photos are amazing! I am a tough review and i can tell you I wish he lived closer! He is reasonably priced and you will have so many magic memories captured!

Jon photographed a large family party for us– a 90th birthday party with about 80 guests. He was wonderful to work with and the pictures turned out beautifully. We wanted more of a photojournalism style– with a focus on capturing the special moments and people attending the party but not a lot of «posed» photos. He understood what we were looking for and did a great job being respectful and unobtrusive while still managing to be there to capture all the key moments. He really went above and beyond– even helped carry in the catering! And he had the pictures ready for us in a day! These photos will be memories our family cherishes forever. Mahalo nui loa Jon!

He was professional and polite easy to work with. We called last minute for a photo shoot and was responsive right away. He went to meet us and set up a photo shoot exactly what we had in mind. He spent about two hours working with us on finding the perfect photo. I really appreciated his attention to detail. He was extremely accommodating.
He’s an amazingly talented photographer who went above and beyond our expectations of a photo shoot. Thank you so much John you really made our day! We’re definitely coming back to do a couple of shoot and for any other future project done.

We had a great family photo shoot with Jon. He was easy to communicate with from the first day I reached out to him, and even though I was very slow to finalize a date, he was easy to confirm an appointment with. Jon was very friendly and easy to talk with from the minute we walked up to him. My kids were comfortable with him right away, and he was great with trying to get our one year old to smile. He let us peak at the photos on his camera as we went along the shoot, and it kept our spirits up to see that there were some great shots. We love outdoor family photographs, and I’m so happy we will have some with our youngest as part of the group, and at a price we could afford.

Jon was a phenomenal photographer! We were able to book a last minute appt within the same week of my inquiry. We shot headshots for my daughters portfolio my daughters 5 months old and Jon was fantastic with her we took 5−10min breaks between setups and outfit changes which was Jons suggestion as to not wear her out and it didn’t count against our shooting time he took his time used different back drops different lighting elements all of his equipment is top of the line we went through the shots together and he edited right in front of us our top pics the great thing about this is you get your digitally retouched prints when you leave we had an amazing experience and we will be calling Jon again to do family photos and more shoots for my daughter! He really is a steal!

I am very glad I have stumbled upon Jon. He has been very easy to deal with, friendly, very professional and quite talented at what he does. He is very responsive to texts/​emails/​phone calls and he is punctual (both a lost art to many people)! And most importantly, he seems to really enjoy what he does. From the very short time that I have known him, I would safely bet that money is not one of the top reasons why he does photography. It’s all about the passion! And that is respectable in my book.
My family and I have met with him for an hour shoot and we thoroughly enjoyed his company along with his prop assistants (his little kids). My wife and I are quite pleased with the photos. A few favorites are immediately made available to us online on that very same day!!!
We are doing another photo session for a big event in a couple of weeks and I am very excited to continue working with Jon. I definitely, highly, recommend him!

Working with Jon was awesome. He photographed our wedding in Honolulu, and got some delightful shots. Of course the sunset between our faces photo was incredible, but what impressed me most were the candid shots. He has a way of posing everyone that is incredibly natural while still capturing that perfect moment.
To be honest, some of my favorite pictures of all time were taken by Jon. I recommend him highly for weddings and family pictures, especially ones where you want the natural landscape to enhance the photos. Jon has a keen eye for the interplay of subjects and their environment.
