Big Wave Country

If you’re wondering who are those awesome vendors that sell that amazing grilled pizza, these are the guys! I’ve seen them at both the Ala Moana Farmers Market as well as KKC. On the menu they have:
Fried Green Tomatoes
Fried Zucchini
Combo Tray (both fried tomatoes and zucchini)
Pesto Grilled Pizza
I’ve only tried the pizza and let me tell you OMG… it’s GOOD. They use their tomatoes they grow on their farm, a basil pesto sauce, and fresh mozzarella that they hand stretch. And what makes it so unique is that they grill it! So you get that wonderful grill taste and that nice crunch on the bottom of the crust. It’s so delicious and there’s always a long line, it’s obvious why. My sister has tried the fried green tomatoes and she says they are the best!
One thing I found weird was that the price (of the pizza at least) was different at Ala Moana Farmers Market than the KCC Farmers Market stand they have there. I guess since the KCC one is much more crowded they decided to up the price there. It’s $ 6 per slice at Ala Moana but I think I saw it for $ 7 at KCC. Either way, it’s so worth it. I can’t wait to try the fried green tomatoes.
