What a fun experience Cabarae was. From the moment we arrived I felt just happy inside. The set up was great and we were able to take our group photo with the awesome and playful Cabarae group! These people were such jokesters I loved it. I really enjoyed the intimate atmosphere of the showroom as it wasn’t so big and there was a lot of audience inclusion. Additionally I loved the idea of being served cocktails during a show. I have been to several shows, even in other parts of the country and I never quite got that same vibe. The show itself was so exhilarating. It’s a variety show without the cheesiness of a variety show. The performers were very professional in each of their talents. These men and women are in tip top shape. I sat there thinking I need to hit the weights even harder and also not eat for like a year. That was a joke I’d have a cube of cheese when I felt faint. Ha ha ha. Glad to have Cabarae in the islands as it provides an experience for all that we never had here! I can’t wait for more varieties of the show to be added!

Over all the show was superior. I paid 40% off the original price and i believe we got 40% less of entertainment. After seeing the promo at the Tapa bar and reading reviews, i noticed that there were a few acts that we did not see, such as the hula hoop show. Show started promptly at 8 pm. Intermission was 15 minutes and show ended at 9pm. So the show was actually only 45 minutes. There were some pretty amazing acts that i was very impressed with. The host acts were a little less amazing but it was still cute. Drink cost were your average Waiks prices of $ 10/glass of wine $ 12 – 15 /mixed drinks Kamaaina gets free validated parking but we still ended up paying $ 8, i think you have to tell them at the bar that you are kamaaina so they can validated correctly.

I am fortunate enough to work along side these amazing artist. I work at the Hilton Hawaiian Village and the Cabarae is a must see for anyone on the island! You do not need to be a guest at the Hilton Hawaiian Village to join in on the fun. These folks are always trying to improve their show and make it even more captivating than it already is! I’ve seen the show a couple of times now and both times I left with my cheeks hurting from laughing and smiling the entire time!

From the moment you enter CabaRAE, everything about this experience is totally«different,» in the BEST possible way! I loved that we were ushered into the theater by cast members, already in character, and all of the performers – before, during & after the show – really seem to love what they do. You’ll notice that this venue is TINY compared to any Las Vegas-type production, but that’s one of the things I loved most, b/c everything is so much more interactive! While most of the seating is technically«wooden chairs» circling the stage, the seats were nicely-cushioned, & I had no problems sitting for 2hrs(that’s not always the case elsewhere). There are no assigned seats – though some appeared to be reserved ahead of time – so get there early if you have a preference… then again, there’s really no bad seat in the house! The only distinction is that«VIP» seating is the 2 front rows/inner circles(wooden chairs like everyone else), or one row at the back with über-plush banquette seating & small tables for drinks(in case that’s more your thing). We loved our seats in the front row, and I’d totally recommend it, as long as you don’t mind craning your neck a bit(straight up!) for a couple of acts, and the thought of possibly being pulled up on-stage is more exciting than terrifying. Keep in mind, «volunteers» are pulled from ALL areas of the audience, so come prepared with your best fun-times/party mood! And cheer LOUD for all of the peformers, b/c they really seemed to appreciate that(a couple even commented on it after the show)!! As for the various acts, my gf’s & I LOVED the mix of all the aerial acrobats, contortionists, and the roller skating duo(guest performers from London), interspersed with the fantabulous impersonators(who are amazing singers/entertainers in their own right!), and the«magician» & his assistant who helped to keep things light. Based on prior reviews, it seems the performers/acts do change a bit over time – we didn’t see the hula-hooping Elvis or «the comedian» that some people mentioned – but I have a feeling that anyone who’s selected to be part of this show would be amazing. In terms of being«kid-friendly,» I’d probably rate this as PG, fine for most kids/parents. While many performers(particularly the women) are scantilly-clad – lending to the cabaret-atmostphere – all of the vital parts were covered, and there’s nothing particularly«sexual» about any of the acts… most kids won’t catch some of the tongue-in-cheek humor, but I think that’s a good thing. Of note, our Liza Minelli impersonator did say«the b-word» once, and the magician said«shut up» once to his assistant, so if stuff like that is a problem for your kiddies, just be ready to have«a talk» with them about this, or call the grandparents/babysitter for the night! A few more touches that really set this show apart: * we got souvenir programs for free – WHAT?? – yes free * be on the lookout for strolling performances before the show & during intermission * some performers will appear more than once(sometimes in totally different roles!) – & you’re actually close enough to see that – so that also lent to the intimacy of the event * after the show, the performers all come out for pictures & autographs…& it’s super cool just to «talk story» with them! * sometimes there’s also an after-party from 10pm-2am(great DJ!!), which audience members can attend without paying cover * the bar is in the same room as the performance area, & restrooms are just adjacent, which is very convenient, especially for the 15-min intermission Woo hoo! Clearly I could go on & on about this all day, so just let me sum it all up by saying: I will DEFINITELY be back to see this again, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone!

Best show on the island! Entertainment is nonstop from 8−10pm, never a dull moment. Very professional, high-level cirque acts, and the performers keep the audience engaged and delighted throughout. Everyone in it has a lot of personality and charm, and it’s a lot of fun to watch. Full bar, cool theater with unique décor.

I“ve seen the show twice, and loved it both times. I can’t recommend this enough. the act with a hulk guy tossing his wife acro partner around up in the air on the trapeze is just awesome. so strong, so perfect, they were both inspirational. the comedy bits from the electrocuted smile woman are constantly funny, even the 2nd time; i just loved her manic energy. the bit with knife throwing; silly, campy, totally fun each time. the roller skaters spinning with a girl using only her feet to hook a neck while flying the air; c’mon. get real. that was CGI? they did that with holographic technology? and they take volunteers up to be spun around. dolly parton is totally classy. i plan to go again!

My wife and I have seen most of the on-going shows on Oahu. This relative newcomer offers a wonderful added dimension of first-class live entertainment. Imagine, if you will, the kind of stunning aerial-and-acrobatic performance reminiscent of shows like those from Cirque du Soleil, presented in an intimate venue the size of a large piano bar or small nightclub. The show’s small theatre-in-the-round stage format presents a riveting showcase of stunning acts delivered with a kind of personal sense of connection to the audience that is missing from large theatres. The truly amazing acrobatic performances are punctuated with great humorous routines and musical acts. This provides a near-perfect balance between the dramatic and the funny. Be advised, you may find yourself plucked from audience and brought on-stage to become a participant in the show! Add to all this a friendly meet-and-greet with the performers after the show, and you have a prescription for a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxed magical evening with a nice touch of ‘ohana.

A-FREAKIN-MAZING!!! If you get a chance to go see this show please do!!! It was amazing! Performers from all over the world and some of the most amazing acrobatics I have seen! And I’ve seen Cirque Du Solei! It was so much worth it! Get the VIP tickets! Military and Kamaaina discounts! Well worth being able to sit in the front row! Small crown… Intimate theater… Totally amazing!

Great show. Flexible seating guarantees that every seat is filled for every show. Really intimate, cabaret style variety show. The producer obviously likes sports acrobatics. But also included impersonator, drag and other acts. My only gripes are that the inept magician act seemed to run a little long and since they use folding chairs, my butt was sore after an hour. Much better show than Superstars, would definately go again!

I was invited to view this show the other month, and I’m so happy that I did! I was hesitant about the show at first, just from seeing some pictures and hearing from friends but let me tell you, the show was entertaining from start to finish. The show is located at the Hilton Hawaiian Village and runs Wednesday — Sundays. Tickets are as follows: $ 70 — Unreserved Seat $ 80 — Reserved Seat $ 90 — Reserved VIP Ringside or VIP Booth (Kama’aina /Seniors /Military Special Rates Available) There is a full bar so you can make sure you get in the mood for the show. There are comedy acts — magicians, clown like people, and other entertainers that walk around before and during the show so there is never a dull moment. The show is a Vegas-type night show with a variety of entertainers, which I found especially nice since you were always kept on your toes and never bored of the same act. They were honestly all amazing in their each respect. You could tell that they all were passionate about their act and tried to engage with the guests and make sure we were all entertained. I would highly recommend this show to anyone, tourist or kama’aina alike. Great date night idea after dinner in Waikiki or a great option to suggest to your out of town friends.

Such a shame that more people aren’t watching this show. I recently took my parents to watch Cabarae for their anniversary and they absolutely loved it. I had seen the earlier sneak preview version before they opened up their new showroom and was pleasantly surprised to discover that they added a few acts. The highlights for me were the hula hoop Elvis and the 2 sister strength act(OMG they’re crazy incredible and amazing) but all the acts are very good. The weakest one was still probably the bald comedian. His schtick is just too obvious and forced, as it was the first time when I saw him in the preview show. I liked the other comedian a lot better, the one who pretended to do magic. The show is a little over 2 hours but that includes a 20 minute intermission which I feel should be shortened to 10. The show builds up so much momentum and then just kills it with the long break. And there was no need for a lengthy set up or rest period for a later act either. We went on a Friday night but the showroom was barely half full. Some who paid the general admission price for the third row of seats were lucky enough to be pulled up to the front row, but of course some were asked to participate in the show on stage. Cabarae is a great addition to the Honolulu night life and I hope that it can survive.

I love going to shows, so when the opportunity to go to Cabarae presented itself, the answer was an automatic yes. The show starts from the time you check in. If you are there early enough, there is a bar in the waiting area. If you go on a Friday, you can enjoy the fireworks show as well, so it’s like a two for one. I was kind of surprised to see how small the stage was, but it’s made for a small audience, and provides an intimate experience. Pretty much every seat is like sitting in the front row of any other show you would go to. They let people in depending on the color of your wristband, and from there it’s open seating for the most part. We sat in the third row and got offered to move to the front by the producer. The acrobatic acts were amazing, especially since it was so up close. Usually when you see a show like that it’s from at least 50 feet away, minimum. The front row is only a few feet away, and the back row was maybe 10 – 15 feet away. The impersonators are fun, and there’s a guy that reminds me of curly from the three stooges that’s hilarious. The roller skating act was mind blowing, considering the stage is so small. Word of caution, there is audience participation. The first ones to be involved will most likely be the front row, but no one is safe. Like I said, the show starts from when you check in, and the cast members will interact with you as you are finding your seats. On the plus side, there is also a bar inside the show, and they encourage you to grab a drink whenever you want to. The only ones that get cut off are those in the front row during the roller skating act, but it’s really for understandable safety reasons. With all of that being said, go to the show!!! I’m so glad I went, and I would definitely go again!

Amazing! Just moved into their new permanent home at the Tapa Tower, at the HIlton Hawaiian Village, CabaRae is even better than the Sneak Peak Preview Show. The best view is the very front row but be aware that you maybe picked for a bit of audience participation. There are three stages with the main being a round stage in the middle of the room so really there are no bad seats. After the show, the performers do a «meet & greet» to take pictures and hang out. Thank you CabaRae for a unforgettable night!

I am completely enamored with this show. I was fortunate enough to be a part of the Unilocal group on 8÷21÷14, and loved it so much that I came back a second time on 8÷23÷14 with friends. This is not your average run of the mill variety show. While still in «sneak preview» format, CabaRAE still manages to dazzle audiences with everything from singing, dancing, acrobatics, aerial straps, roller dancing and tricks, comedic fun, and hula hoop tricks. The show opens with the opening song to the famous Broadway musical Cabaret and with that they introduce the spellbinding trapeze act The Ssens Duo which will have you sitting with your mouth open in awe of the magnificence that is unfolding in front of you. Following the trapeze is comedian Peter Pitofsky who has an affinity for kissing bald headed men, and making people dance in the aisles with him… Don’t say you haven’t been warned. Some of his jokes will make you groan, but its all in good fun. The night’s fun continues with acts such as Ludivine Furnon dazzling you with her pole dancing, and ladies and gents this isn’t your strip club pole dancing… This is the holy crap this is amazing the way she can move her body pole dancing. The woman is talented and AMAZING. Keep an eye out for her again toward’s the end of the show when she makes women everywhere want to sign up for a pole fitness class and learn how to use their bodies the way she can in that strip tease/dance that is HOTHOTHOT. Not to be upstaged by a woman, Ryan James’ aerial strap routine had every lady in the room and some men begging for more. Meowwwww… The obligatory Liza Minelli impersonator was also spot on and fun… And don’t forget Hula Elvis or the yodeling dominatrix… or the roller skating«seniors» Are you intrigued? Wondering why you haven’t gone to see this show yet? CabaRAE opens in its main permanent stage in about 4 weeks at Hilton Hawaiian Village. If you haven’t made your way to a preview, make sure you see it when it opens. You won’t regret it. I know I will be back again and again and again. Of note: If you valet, go to the Tapas Bar and get a drink or two before the show and get it validated, your parking will be free versus $ 13.

I’ll be honest, I heard very little about this show before actually going to see the sneak preview. All I knew was that it was supposed to be some off-shoot of Cirque du Soleil. I was curious and happy I got tickets from Unilocal to see the preview show at HHV. It was held in the Tapa ballroom and lucky for us Unilocalers, we got seated first. Conference ballroom chairs were placed around a circular stage in the middle and an aerial trapeze setup on the side. It all seemed weird and I was very curious as to how they would pull off this production in such a small space. There were a number of acts(I forgot how many) within a two hour period with one 20-minute intermission in between. In short, I was amazed and impressed with everything — the talented performers, the variety of the acts and the overall entertainment and fun factor. It was such a unique and awesome experience! I am looking forward to seeing the full show when their new $ 5 million theater opens in September. What a treat for us Hawaii folks to have a production like this to call our own. Definitely highly recommend you go see it! Mahalo Unilocal and Emi for the opportunity and amazing time!
