I regret having to write this review for Hill Construction. The owner is a great guy. Very interesting, well spoken, and would probably be a lot of fun to have a beer with and talk story. However, the quality of work that I received from his men was less than the 2 stars that I gave this review(the extra star is simply because he worked quickly and took my project nearly on the spot when I was in a timing jam). I understand that his men may come and go and the work may change depending on who does the job, however ultimately, the owner signed off on this junk when he did his walk through even when I pointed the flaws that I had seen. He defended the work saying«it won’t show when its painted.» Well, actually he is right, because I corrected his mistakes my self using dry wall putty to fill in the gaps where there should have been none. Now I have to take steps to learn DIY tricks to fix their screw ups. Its costing me time and money!!! And this is basic stuff(using pieces of lattice instead of window molding, duh!!!, putting the door casing too close to the door so it scrapes paint off as it closes hello?!?, installing dry wall at obviously not right angles, nails sticking out of door casings, etc). Like I said, I regret having to write this review, but I feel I was taken advantage of because I am green(a new business owner) and because I was in a timing pinch. Hill Construction will not be receiving a phone call from me to do my expansion or for anything else.
