I love Hawaii’s Chinatown! Definitely a good place to buy fresh fish and seafood. They also have stores with fresh vegetables and exotic fruits. I almost felt like I was in Asia all over again. It’s kind of entertaining in a sense. Lots of Asian food in the area too.

There are many green grocers located in Chinatown but we usually come to this one. It’s a family-​run shop and the folks are friendly. Their quality produce is fresh, green, and fragrant. You can find fruits and vegetables from different ethnicities. Portion sizes are «manageable» that can feed 1, 2 or 4 people and you don’t feel like you have to buy the farm.
Prices are competitive with other vendors but I like their clean open-​aired cool store. It also doesn’t hurt that you actually get CORRECT change for your purchase.

Excellent selection of vegetables! No better selection of greens in Chinatown! It is cash only but you will not need more than a twenty as it is quite inexpensive.
It is easy to spot as the exterior is usually lined with hanging bananas. The two ladies who run it are unusually nice and helpful.
If you only need a small amount of an item then head to the cashier as there are always small bags of items for only a dollar.

Great selection of vegetables for a smaller store. I was able to find the type of cabbage I needed here after searching six other markets in the area. And, BONUS, picked up a *very* large bunch of chinese parsley for 3 bucks. The produce seemed cleaner than many stores in the area, and the ladies working here are nice and patient. I was also surprised to see an EBT machine next to the register. Worth a visit to support business owners doing something right.

A mom and pop store with a nice variety of fruits and veggies. It is located next to one of the entrances of Maunakea Marketplace (by the woman who sells sugarcane juice)
They have everything from bok choy, New Zealand spinach, bean sprouts, napa cabbage and other Asian veggies. They have a whole wall filled with apple bananas which I always buy. Prices are cheap and its always busy with women of all ages filling their baskets.
The women working are nice ladies too, a bit of a surprise in Chinatown.
