I was referred by an oral surgeon when he wanted a better view of something on an x-ray. I was able to get an appointment pretty quickly after calling. The lady on the phone told me that my insurance wasn’t going to cover this procedure, told me exactly how much it would be and reminded me that I would need to pay the day of service. Great. On the day of my appointment I was having trouble finding the exact office location. I called, and called with no answer. When I finally found the office I walked in and there were no other patients in there. I still have no idea why the lady didn’t answer my phone. The dr was very nice. He showed me my scan and explained what the oral surgeon wanted to see and a few other things. I went to leave, paid the exact amount that I was told when I made my appointment. No problem. My issue came a few weeks later when I got a notice from my insurance that the same day I paid him in full, he also sent a claim in to my insurance for the exact amount I had already paid. They had no claim, because I paid them in full. Trying to double-dip with my insurance is NOT okay.

Dr. Ryan Lee is a dental radiologist. I send him patients to cone beam CT scans before for me to review 3D scans for dental implants and to help diagnose certain problems. I highly recommend any dentist who does dental implants to send him your patients. His fees are reasonable and if they need a rescan later, it’s significantly lower. He also has an Itero scanner which allows him to do all the orthodontic records for anybody who wants to submit case information to Invisalign. He also has implant surgical guide software so you can review cases with him. He’s very helpful during all phases of planning and treatment and will be very fair to your patients. In fact, he knew that one of my clients would not benefit from a scan so he told her that and she got to save her money. That’s integrity.
