Great service been coming here since they opened like long time over 15 years cheap. 10.00 hair cuts and me and my mom are like regulars always talks story and her husband also great when she not around recommend going always fast and great.

I went out of my way to go here based on Unilocal reviews. I just needed a clean up for a short haircut. Lisa cut my hair and did a nice job. She took her time and was personable and very friendly. She also wash my hair after the haircut and the price was still only $ 12.
She also trimmed my goatee and eyebrows no extra charge. The next time I’m in Honolulu I will be back. Just to be clear this isn’t a fancy Barbershop. It’s just Lisa and her husband that give you a good experience in a decent environment.

$ 10 consistently awesome haircuts, quick yet friendly service, and no fighting traffic to get here. Count me in!
You know the thrill of discovering a great mechanic for your car? Well, this trumps it!
Being able to walk in, sit down, relax, and have your hair just the way you want it every single time may sound trivial, but is one blessing that I don’t take for granted
I mean trying to explain how short is «short» and learning all the technical terminology required to explain how you prefer your hair cut can be so stressful at some places.
I’m not sure how or why, but D J’s just gets it right. I showed her a picture of how I used to look and not only did she replicate it, she improved upon it!
The only request that she couldn’t do was cut out all the grey hairs that have been sneaking in recently ;)
All kidding aside, if you need a great barber, check this place out. It’s a one woman operation that just gets it right.

I have been going to Lisa for a good haircut and many laughs for over 10 years. I drive from Waimanalo because she is the only one I trust. A couple of times I «cheated on her» to save a drive or time and paid for it with poor haircuts. Price is best around.

Amazing stylist! I am an Asian male and many stylists don’t know how to cut Asian hair but Lisa does a great job for me! My friends can’t believe I only paid $ 10 for the quality haircut!

Love her! You can’t beat the price especially in the Waikiki area. Your basic barber shop your grandfather used. Super sweet and always thanks me for coming in. Parking is on the street and you may need to circle the block awhile.

I’ve been coming here for a few years and watched Lisa’s kids grow up in pictures pasted around the shop.
She is a one person operation and I’ve frequently walked in to find a full house of regulars patiently waiting their turn. If the wait is long she will ask if you would like to, «come back a little later». If you agree, you’ve got a reserved spot no matter who walks in or calls in later. When you return, Lisa will thank you for being patient and loyal.
For those who need no frills only. This is a basic cut shop. If your hair is higher maintenance, this is not your place.

The good olé’ neighborhood barbershop. Lisa is a fantastic person and when you meet her for the first time it’s like you’ve known her since childhood. Supercuts, Fantastic Sam’, etc. could all learn a lesson in customer service, pricing, and how to retain customers through perfect craftsmanship, and taking an interest in your customer’s requests. Mahalo Lisa and finally adiós to 2^nd rate hairstyling shops as mentioned above.

Aunty Lisa always took care of me every two weeks. She always remembered my cut so I never had to remind her. Even when I’d walk pass the shop she always waved hi. Best place to get a cut for you buck.

Have been using DJ’s for at least 10 years. Always a GREAT cut, and the service can’t be beat. You will not find a better place in Honolulu. Parking is easy on Campbell. And if you are staying in Waikiki, the walk from the Diamondhead side is not too far. Just up Kapahulu, and right on Campbell.

That’s another $ 10 haircut right up in your grillmix. Lisa is cool and is even trying to hook me up with her niece in Vietnam. Solid.
