The park is somewhat hidden, but wouldn’t call it a gem. It has a small play set area with a couple of slides, a play bridge, and monkey bars. There are a couple of benches near the play area so parents can sit and watch their kids. There is a childcare center, so you will need to go after 5pm. Near the center, there are more benches and tables. The bigger part of the park consists of a baseball field. It isn’t a big one, possibly little league size. When I was at the play area, people were hitting balls and some got close to the play area so I would be watchful when kids are around. There’s a tall stairway that goes up through trees to a basketball court and a tennis court. The tennis court doesn’t have a net, but there’s always people playing basketball here. As for parking, there’s a small parking lot near the childcare center. There’s also street parking, but hard to find. If you want to just go to the basketball court, you can access it from Alapai St. Parking is very limited as there are a lot of homes and apartments in that area. Not a hidden gem, but there are things to do there.

Rating: 3⁄5 Date visited: 2÷07÷2012 Atmosphere: 4⁄5 Available Activities: 4⁄5 Field Maintenance: 2⁄5 Restrooms: ?/5 Parking: 2⁄5 Depending on how you look at it… it can be a diamond-in-the-rough, or homeless persons paradise. Atmosphere: Situated in the middle of town by what looks like a park carved out of a mountain. Interesting… just interesting. Available Activities: 1. Little League Baseball Field. 2. Basketball/Tennis Courts? 3. Pavilion is under repair. Looks very useful when available. Field Maintenance: Less than average, but better than nothing. Restrooms: Not sure. Parking: Very little on the baseball side of the park. About 8 stalls max. There is street parking available.

Nice little park, used to have a bigger play set area with swings, slides and stuff, but I think most of it might be gone… Its next to a basketball court though, but you have to go up the stairs through the«woodsy» like area. Growing up near by, I liked hanging out over there.
