My daughter attended ECPS from K-12, and then some. Her instructor was Ernest Chang, and she enjoyed the lessons, but LOVED the recitals even more. He challenged her, constantly, because he knew she had what it took to become an award-winning pianist, small hands and all. And she did become one, with hours dedicated to PERFECT practice, winning a Morning Music Scholarship, performing with the Honolulu Symphony, playing in studio and public recitals, and even playing in master classes with those talented visiting pianists. Although she only plays as a hobbyist now, and if Mr. Chang asks her to perform in the alumni Sleigh Ride at Christmas-In-Ensemble, she appreciates the fact that Mr. Chang has been a tremendous influence in her appreciation of piano performance and classical music. When you get him, you are getting the best! The rest is up to your child.
