As with n-e-thing else on da islands mani/pedi can get very pricey. So of course I packed my own polish but forgot to bring base so I was silently on the hunt for some. For the Waikiki area there were slim pickings for nail polish. But when I came across this dicsoteque decked out store front with all the kawaii packaging I had to check it out. While the atmosphere was fun, the staff was friendly, and their taste in quality products(which was fully stocked) deemed impressive, I walked out of there empty handed. Why? Well $ 30 for IDB gel and $ 10 regular OPI?! Ridiculous. They obviously were targeting Japanese tourists that are willing to pay such trumped up prices. But nope not me… I’d rather keep my nails au naturale til I get back home to the mainland where I can get OPI at $ 3 – 4 no tax ;)

I most certainly do not need anymore polishes, but I can’t help it. Etonya has every thing you could want and need when it comes to polishes(Zoya, OPI, China Glaze, Jessica), nail care and skin care. The best part? it’s all discounted! The main guy working in the store is really hyper and cheerful. Etonya is located across from Bank of Hawaii.
