Love this place! Cozy and the cleanest bar I’ve ever been too. The staff is top notch and you can’t get better drinks in Downtown(consistency and quality). They play all the big games on four screens. Cheers!

Looking forward to my next visit. A limited menu but with interesting approaches to cuisine. Nice quiet tables outside, great aesthetic inside.

Friendly, attentive service, without hovering. Nice ambience. I had the cheese steak, my friend had the mac & cheese sandwich. The meal mysteriously disappeared as we caught up on things and our opu were happy. Yum!

Under new management. However not much has changed from where I’m concerned and that is the bar/drink side of things. Service is good if slow on a busy days. Great hangout for the after work crowd and we generally sit outside in the courtyard. The indoor space has a great colonial look and feel with high ceiling and abundance of wood; feels like you are siting in one of the bars at Raffles Hotel in Singapore — you know the feeling if you’ve been there! Food is where there is ample room for improvement — go there only for drinks and you’ll have a fun evening.

I really dig the variety and ample local microbrews that Fergusons has. The location is great, but the inside is small(but cozy is a weird way), but love the open air outside, especially on a pau hana Friday. The service is lacking though… not sure if they’re covering too many tables at once or if it’s the delay at the bar but the waitresses are a little absent minded. Not unfriendly though so order another when you’re about half way done with your current. Check it out because any pub is welcome in downtown.

Went there to watch a game and meet some friends after work… Great spot very friendly and comfortable, best grilled cheese I’ve had in a long time! BUTDON’T ORDERCHEESEPLATE, badly done not even close to what was pictured, and cost $ 17! I definitely would go back, just not order the sad cheese and meat plate.

Good service, atmosphere and food. –1 star for uncomfortable seats and slightly overpriced menu.

My boyfriend is a big sports guy and while I do enjoy lots of sports, I mostly go watch at the bar for the food and drinks. This time around he wanted to watch soccer & there was a viewing party at Ferguson’s. We were surprised we had never heard of it & decided to try. The bar is way smaller than I expected. There are a few two person tables scattered along one wall leading to the back exit/bathrooms while the opposing wall is the bar with chairs all the way around. The bar is plenty stocked, a few big screens are scattered throughout and there’s a small kitchen area at the end of the bar where they make some simple & tasty food items. On a plus, I noticed an outdoor seating area by the back exit that I imagine would be nice for some afternoon drinks & lunch. I tried the jalapeño margarita which I fell in love with. The bartender made them nice & strong with an awesome spicy kick. One of the first places where I tasted that spice. They were delicious but a little pricey so I switched over to beer. They had a wide selection at some decent prices. I was able to get a fresh squeezed IPA on draft for $ 6 which is a stellar deal. The menu was nothing fancy but still had yummy choices. Appetizers, sandwiches & grilled cheeses to be exact. There was a salad but I don’t feel like this is the place to do that. The baked brie sounded yummy buy based on the menu and what I saw of the kitchen, sandwiches were the way to go. The only problem was choosing! The sandwiches were your typical options but I liked the variety: Italian deli cuts or a chicken meatball sub to pastrami or turkey. The grilled cheeses are apparently what they do best, listed on the menu as ‘famous.’ They had your typical grilled cheese [$ 9] with a number of add ons for an additional cost of $ 1 like bacon, avocado, tomato, etc. There was also two pizza grilled cheeses [meat lovers or margarita $ 10], a jalapeño Mac & cheese grilled cheese [yes, you read correctly — I’ll be back just to try this($ 10)] and finally a roast beef/bleu cheese version with fried onions & horseradish. My boyfriend went for the pizza meat lovers. I was being indecisive but with the help of the bartender ordered the Dublin cheesesteak, a French roll filled with thinly sliced roast beef, Dublin cheese and horseradish mayo [$ 11]. They were out of the cheese which was a bummer but cheddar works for me anyway so I just replaced it. My sandwich was delicious, toasted and warm with lots of meat. I had to curb myself to slow down. My bf’s Meat Lovers had salami, pepperoni, ham, mozzarella & marinara. Tasted just like pizza for sure but was a little hard to eat. I would definitely come back here if in the area or for a sports events. The intimacy made it more fun than some of the hugs bars and they served affordable drinks. The bartender provides great service & made rounds constantly around the bar. I’ll have to check out the outdoor area with friends!

Great service, tasty food, nice ambience! AND — be sure to try the WEDGESALAD! This place is perfect for lunch if you work, or need to be, downtown. The menu is not extensive, but the food is tasty. I have come here twice for lunch now and both times both myself and those in my party agreed they were happy with what they were served. The sandwiches are not«big», but the fillings are more than adequate and we found all ingredients to be good quality and delicious. The only thing that’s sad… you need to be prepared that all food is served on paper plates. Since I’ve gone for lunch in the middle of my business day, I can’t speak to the cocktails or beer, but the iced tea is great — and the quality of iced tea always speaks to the overall quality of what is being served, in my opinion. I have stepped inside during ‘happy hour’ and the bar is full and everyone looks happy! Another thing to note is location — this is on the«outer perimeter», outside the central part of downtown, which has seen an increase in the number of ‘houseless’ and ‘loitering’ people. I know many avoid downtown Honolulu because of this issue, so I thought I’d mention it. Now, back to that wedge salad… if you like a good wedge salad, you’ve got to try this one! Plenty of blue cheese, fresh ingredients — I give this a 10 out of 10… and I eat wedge salads all over this town and wherever I go in my travels.

The lunch menu is completely embarrassing. $ 10 Italian sub that is probably the equivalent of a 6 inch subway sub. The quality was less than subway and subway in my opinion is not quality(2 star quality). Also, the ice cubes in my drink tasted funky, as if the ice coolers have not been cleaned in a while or something spilled in the cooler and was not properly drained. The bar has a nicely finished bar, but a one star is necessary because the food was not good and frankly this establishment does not deserve a 4 star average.

Went here for lunch. The waitress was friendly, well versed in what they offered, and pleasant. She gets 5 stars. It was not crowded, but it looked nice inside. 4 stars parking? LOL one star, but that’s not fair, all of this area is 1star parking. Now to the food. Baked brie– HUGE disappointment. Its not even baked brie. Shouldn’t even be called that. Should be called melted piece of brie with stuff on it. It was garbage. One, it was not a good piece of brie. Costco’s brie would have been better. Two, the rind was still on… all at the bottom, a big piece, and not a good rind. THREE, it did not have dough or any kind of wrapping! Then, the final insult, there was DIREDFRUIT and walnuts thrown on top. For $ 10? Get out of here. GOHOME, FERGUSON’S, YOU’REDRUNK! My husband enjoyed his pastrami sandwich. I got the meat overs grilled cheese. It was OK. Nothing to write home about. The bread was right, the cheese was right, and it had all the meat(ALLTHEMEAT)… but I was just disappointed, since they were FAMOUS grilled cheese. Come on now. our sandwiches were both $ 10. Maybe it is a better bar.

I am warming up to this place. Yes they pour a nice Guinness in a respectable pint glass. Gotta give props for that! And the bar is a Thing ‘O Beauty! Yes indeed. Just got a Shamrock in my Guinness so I am fulfilled. Shrimp cocktail is refreshing. They also deliver a great Boulevardier and the service is great so I’ll come back. :)

Now I’m new to the world of whiskey but Ferguson’s is my recommendation for those new to whiskey and those who love it. A nice cozy bar with the furnishings of an old European pub. Went in the afternoon and was surprised how nice and airy the place was. Felt really comfortable. Talking to the owners, they were friendly and knowledgeable of their menu! I hope to be back for more. :) Recommend: Grilled sandwiches, ask for the beef and bleu cheese! Meat lovers and mac and cheese are also in the table.

My boyfriend decided to take me here one night just to see how it was. I kinda like it. It’s a good little pub. The bartender was nice. She was always smiling and very friendly. The cheese and cracker plate is a must. I ate the whole thing. ^_^ Very clean enviroment. There are also outdoor seatings if you perfer. The bar is long an narrow. I wouldn’t mind coming back here.

I’ve been working downtown for a while now and it’s strange that it’s taken so long for me to come to this place for happy hour. Stopped by on a Friday night and sat outside. Despite the occasional loud car, it was nice being outside on a breezy evening to have a few drinks. I ordered some wine and we had some pupus. BAKEDBREE — warm and creamy and served with little crostinis. Since we were there for a while and needed more to soak up the wine, we also ordered the charcuterie platter which had the usual cheese and meat offerings — bonus for the soft cheeses and crackers and mustard. Delicious. Great warm up before heading out for some dinner. I’ll be back to enjoy the outdoors after being at my computer screen all day.

I have been here a couple of times now and I like it here. The bar itself feels a little narrow when you enter… the nicely made wooden display holding all the luscious liquor makes you feel… well, like you are on the mainland. They have a nice selection of whiskey, especially irish… as they should. There is seating inside the bar area, and there is also outside seating. We sat at the bar during the last visit and were able to watch the World Series game. FYI… this is a pro-San Francisco bar, so beware… The crowd here is more middle aged. Not your young, pick up bar, at all. Although, it was a nice mix of pau hana peeps and older folk just relaxing. I was able to finally try the food on this last visit. I ordered the chili verde tacos. The plate came with two tacos and some chips on the side. Overall it was ok… the chili verde was a little on the spicy side for me… but it was good. I was blown away at how small there food menu is… very limited choices. The service here is usually pretty good. The bartender we had was nice and last time we were there the waitress was real nice. I would go back here… fun and chill place to hang.

«Where everybody knows your name, and they’re always glad you came. You wanna be where you can see, our troubles are all the same You wanna be where everybody knows, Your name. « The bar was nicely decorated and reminded me of Cheers. I could come here and be a regular and feel like I was on that show. I should of came here during the Cup. I can imagine how fun this place would be. Travis was my bartender when I came here during the day a few months ago. He talked to me about the bar and all the options they have. They had a decent selection of food and drinks. I would definitely like to come back and get some great grub and a black and tan. My fav.

I should have known that going downtown on a Saturday night was going to be a mistake. I should have gathered from the post apocalypse type street loneliness that it wasn’t going to be a lively night. Despite these observations, I was still excited to check out Ferguson’s and what it had to offer. When I walked inside, I was very impressed by the nicely decorated bar. It was traditional and classy in one package. There were no other patrons there, and none ever came during my time. Luckily there was still some college football on the television, so it wasn’t silent in there. College football aside though, my night at Ferguson’s was one of the more awkward nights out. My wife and I were having a conversation in a quiet bar with a lonely looking bartender waiting patiently to serve us more drinks that we were never going to order. I was impressed with the drink and food selection and the décor. But the silence and complete lack of patrons made for a very weird experience. I hope to go back on a more crowded night or afternoon. I can only imagine how lively it is here during a work day.

I somehow missed this place walking by countless times, but I’m glad I stopped in. This is a classy Irish pub right downtown. Indoor has a nice bar, high ceilings, and tables; everything is very clean. They have outdoor seating on Bishop Street and the courtyard, both are pleasant. Our bartender/waiter was very professional and friendly. They have good lunch specials. I shared the Irish Cheesesteak sandwich and the Cerviche salad. Both tasted excellent. The Irish cheese and spiced mayo made it. My only complaint, and reason for a less than perfect rating, is for the portion– it was a bit small and not quite worth the price. The salad was a better deal– crisp and refreshing with fresh red snapper. We also shared the baked Brie with kiwi. This was gluttonous and delicious, but not with the price for quality and portion. Nice place to have a sit down lunch– be prepared to tip.

We don’t have a lot of Irish bars in Hawaii and in fact most of them are in the Downtown/Chinatown area. I was expecting more from Ferguson’s than I got. The food menu was just too limited to easy-to-cook items like grilled cheese sandwiches and quesadillas(which we ordered). Tge same is true for the beer menu, specifically the India Pale Ales, with just a couple of marginal choices to select from. The bar is very small and that’s surely why the food and beverages are so limited. The service however was very friendly and fast and the only memorable part of my experience here.

Super Bar. Wir haben das Champions League Finale angeschaut und hatten das leckere Frühstücksbuffet. Es gab Eier, Würstel, Reis, Hühnchen und ganz viel frische Früchte. Sehr nette Leute dort. :-)
