Let them eat cupcake owners also make some delicious pies. Follow their facebook for flavors. They usually have a pop-up and sell their pies every third thursday of the month. I’ve visited twice so far. The first time their pop up location was on bethel. The second time they were selling their pies in their let them eat cupcake store(located on Beretania). They usually have about four flavors and sell out fast. So call to put your pies on hold! My favorite thing about their pies is the filling to crust ratio. My dream pie would look like a Georgie Pie, mainly filled with fruits. So if you’re feeling like a pie and it’s the third thursday of the month, go down and give them a try! I promise you won’t be sorry. Random: +Sometimes they make mini pies — bite size pies that can fit in the palms of your hand. Super cute and super tasty!

Emi recently posted in the community talk about PIE vs CAKE… Seems appropriate seeing that the whole nation will be feasting on Turkeys, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and of course pies in a week… Personally, I’m a pie lover all the way. Always have been, always will. I actually remember a few birthdays during my childhood where I blew out candles on a pie instead of a cake… Anyway, thanks to Facebook I woke up yesterday morning to posts from Let them Eat Cupcakes about PIES. What? My favorite cupcake place is selling pies? I must try this! So around 10:30 I called to reserve some pies and was shocked to hear that they were running out FAST. They were out of their mini pies($ 5) and only had 2 slices of apple crumb($ 4) which I snatched up. Whole pies are $ 22. This is not a permanent thing, just a pop up called Georgies Pies which will be serving pies every Wednesday till Dec 19th. Don’t worry, LTEC still will be selling those yummy cupcakes. I reserved 2 slices of apple crumb and 1 blueberry slice. I had just eaten Sweet Revenge’s apple crumb a week earlier so I had something to compare it too. Both are good, topped with a crunchy buttery crumb topping and fresh sliced apples. Georgie’s is a little sweeter, and has a nuttier topping, it almost tasted like there was peanut butter in the crust… I liked the blueberry pie although it seems that since fresh blueberries are probably not as prevalent in Hawaii that they have to put a little of gelatin in it as filler. Nonetheless it was yummy without being too sweet. The woman at the store said that apple cranberry is killer so I’ll probably check that out next time. If you are a pie lover, definitely worth checking out at least once before they are gone!
