Cheap and quick. Larry was quick to service several customers. A bit unfortunate that they’ll be moving out of current location

Let me start off by giving this place an automatic 5 stars just for being the absolute CHEAPEST place in town to repair your broken screen. I came in earlier today and paid $ 110 plus tax to fix my iPhone 5s screen. It took about a little less than an hour, but conveniently there’s a Starbucks located right next to it. My phone was also disabled due to the fact that the broken screen seemed to be pressing buttons on its own and basically disabling it to the point where I have to restore my entire phone. Thankfully the guy that helped me assisted me a bit with that as well. Unfortunately I forgot to ask the name of the guy who helped me, but if you see this thank you so much! My screen seems to be functioning perfectly, and the home button and camera was not harmed at all in to process. I would absolutely recommend this place for any phone damage repairs. Locating the place was a bit difficult since there was construction going on in the surrounding area, but they are located in the Waikiki Trade Center right behind Starbucks. If you really find your self lost, just enter the front entrance of Starbucks and exit the back entrance and it’ll be right there.

I switched providers to Go Smart today. For a long time, I was with Verizon paying ridiculous fees $ 100-$ 140 per month for 2 ½ years. It was $ 80 each month for 2GB data, but with data overage age, I was paying extra for additional GB. First it was 3GB, then 4GB, and finally 5GB… For a long time, I was locked in a 2 yr contract so I couldn’t switch providers right away. Well, that’s what happens when you get a smartphone for free. When the contract ended, I just couldn’t find the time to switch providers, but after several months I finally decided to switch. Now, I am paying $ 40 for a 5GB plan, saving about $ 60 — $ 90 a month. I used to be technology literate, but not anymore. I feel real dumb and should have known how much I should be spending. I learned a lot today and I’m glad that I made the change. From today, I’m going smart. The people that work for Hoku Wireless are awesome! Props to Larry and Jason! When I was at the store, Jason and Larry were there. It was mainly Larry that assisted me. I walked in and wasn’t sure what to ask, but Larry came up to me and approached me. Friendly and helpful guy! These days, customer service provided by many people are below par, but surprisingly he was very, very helpful. He answered all my questions and provided very clear explanations. I don’t know much about phones, providers, but after today I feel a lot more confident. I can walk away feeling happy. Now, if there are any questions, I know who to see. Hoku Wireless’s service is awesome. You can get a good data plan, unlimited calls and text for $ 40 for a 5GB data plan. If you need more, you can get it for $ 45 for a 10GB plan. You might wonder if Hoku Wireless targets just tourists and costly than other stores. Nope! I’m a local living in Hawaii all my life and they were able to fulfill my needs. This store is for tourists, locals, basically for everyone that has a phone.

Fast, simple, very helpful staff. It seems like most of the bad reviews are people that have issues with their phone or service that they DID not buy from Hoku. I had no issues at all and they were super friendly!

I needed to reload my H2O data plan, I went there and got my refill, but they refused to help me to activate the data despite i told them that was the first time I used it, it will upload itself they said. WRONG! I had to go to another place with more helpful staff next day, and the guy downloaded some sort of settings/APN to allow the data go through. The adults who work there have been always nice and polite with me, but not the girl who was there last friday, those people that you can tell have the brain melted for the heat and they dont want to move a finger, just stay there and drooooool…

Best place in Waikiki to purchase a prepaid sim card. I was assited with great service by their staff. I was only in town temporarily and needed a prepaid sim card so that I could contact my family back home. Hoku made my experience very easy and I will always recommend this place to people that will be traveling to Waikiki in the future. I also went to another place down the street from them but all they wanted was my money and did not care about my needs. So if your in Waikiki and in need of a prepaid sim the best place to go is Hoku Wireless!

I’ve gone to this location on multiple occasions and it’s not because of the awesome customer service, products, or anything like that. They are just the only service providers in Waikiki. The used phone I bought off Hoku Wireless wouldn’t send pictures. I went in 8 times to try to fix the glitch before buying an iphone 5 at the Mac store down the street. Hoku Wireless shrugged off the problem and never took accountability for selling me a faulty unlocked phone. They should have let me know before I spent $ 200 on that phone that all functionality might not work on unlocked phones. I have a degree in literature but I don’t know about electronics! Embarassingly enough, this is not the first phone I’ve purchased from Hoku Wireless over the years. I felt resentful for buying the first phone from Hoku Wireless back when they were still over by the International Marketplace because the sales associates were so snobby, even back then. The agents didn’t get much more helpful at the newer location at the Trade Center. I should have listened to my gut feeling because if I chose a more helpful location like I have now, I would have saved time and money and heartache. On Unilocal,Hoku Wireless gets a one«hoku» rating from me. The island’s not so big. So you should get out of Waiks and choose another service provider, if service is what you are seeking.

Hoku Wireless has a great staff and is the place to go for cell phone and prepaid sim card needs. They also do unlocking so you can use local sim cards. Looking for a phone they had Note 2 and galaxy s 3 last time I was there. Might go back to get the clear wireless internet. Unlimited 4g!!!

this place is terrible with the worst customer service ever! i had called them numerous times in regards to our account. mobi told me that they had cancelled our number, with no notes to why they did so. i called and spoke to some idiot who barely spoke english and continuously tried to over talk me! he said he would get back to me and never did. i went to a mobi dealer and the employee there called him about the situation. he said hed give her a call back in 5 minutes. not sure if he ever did because her store was closing. i called mobi customer service and they said hoku wireless’s dealer number did not reinstate the phone. i am so pissed off because not only did i have to pay $ 30 to reinstate our phone, but i also had to pay another month of service when i just paid the bill on the 28th. so sept 10th i paid for another month when september didnt even go by. the idiot who works here is just awful, its clear they messed up and made a huge mistake and no one wants to come forth with it. i am going down to their store within the next week! this is ridiculous! the mobi dealer i went to even told me the gentlemen is lying because they can see exactly which store cancelled our service. i will be writing a follow up once i go down there!!! awful awful awful beware! worst place ever.
