Went there for dinner tonight and the food was fantastic. We just moved out to the west side and would go to Shabu Shabu House every other week. Thought we would give this location a try and it didn’t disappoint. Food was top quality and fantastic. Also shockingly it was cheaper than in town. Fantastic service as well!

VERYDISAPPOINTED The host FAILED to record our reservation. When we got there and confronted him about it he was very rude and completely apathetic and unapologetic, making no effort to deliver satisfactory service. This is not the first time we received questionable costumer service from a certain employee at Hot Pot Heaven.

One of the best hot places I’ve been to. Service is great and so is the food. Ala carte style and many selections of broth. They also give mochi ice cream as part of the meal! :)

This hot pot place has good broth and is comparable to Boiling Point in California. I really like how I can pick whatever sides I want for the hotpot. I got a bunch of dumplings and various noodles. I think I got my moneys worth considering how many dumplings I ate. To top off things off, the restaurant gives a mochi ice cream from Bubbies to guests at check out. I thoroughly enjoyed my experiences at this venue. The employees were very nice and attentive to any questions I had.

I love this place! Lemongrass broth spicy or kimchee broth spicy is so good! Their products are always fresh, clean. Sauces are yum too! They take reservations which makes it so much easier to dine there because they do get busy. Staff is always friendly and gotta love their stamp card!

Been here twice, and I am a fan! First off, if you are a germaphobe or have issues with double dipping utensils, be sure you get your own broth. If you have no issues with people dipping their chopsticks in to fish food out of the broth, then you are good to go. I am such a fan of their Thai broth! It’s very tasty, and you can tell them what level of heat you want. Hubs and I have tried the miso, Thai, and Kim Chee broths so far, and definitely go for the Thai if you like a little kick and flavor. When we went today, it was for lunch, and it wasn’t too crowded. Our waitress was a delight! I was debating between the seafood broth and the Thai, and she recommended the Thai, said it’s her favorite. We did half/half Thai and Miso, just in case we didn’t like the Thai, but Miso took the back seat after we tried the Thai. They also have a sauce bar, with ponzu, sesame sauce, miso sauce, vinegar, shoyu, and house sauce, as well as ginger, bean paste, green onions, and various sauce enhancements(think onion, veggies, etc). Once you order your broth and proteins, you are free to hit the cooler to get your veggies, noodles, seafood, dumplings, fish balls, and other yumminess. When the broth comes out, swish swish away to an enjoyable meal. Words of wisdom: don’t get all crazy with your plates, do a few at a time, otherwise you will wind up with a bunch of extra food(like we did the first time we dined here). For the two of us, we had a total of 8 plates, 3 of which were meats. Perfect sized for us, The first time we came we had 10 plates and it was total overkill. The plates are color coded, and you are charged according to what color the plate is that you grab. It can get pricey, so pace yourself accordingly. At the end of the meal, you will be presented with an ice cream mochi. Yum! We’ll be back.

Craving noodles or soup?! Please, take your time to drive to a hot pot heaven. Hence the word«heaven»… It really is like heaven, or something close to it. I love the different types of soups that they offer. If you’re wondering what kind of soup you should choose, I would go with the Thai flavor. They make it sound like its spicy, but it really isn’t. If you ever had tom yum soup from Thai Lao… that is exactly what it taste like. Their broth is the best! I love how you are able to go to the fridge In the back and choose all types of meats and vegetables. There are so many different varieties of meats, from meatballs to shrimp… To won ton… And there are so many different types of noodles, from chow mean to saiman… And not to mention, the vegetables are amazingly fresh !! I always enjoy cooking my own food. It’s a great way to socialize and interact with your other half, family or a bunch of friends. Although parking is a bit tight in the McCully area, if you’re lucky enough… You’ll find parking in the garage or outside… other then that… I absolutely love this place, and I’d definitely come back for more!

I don’t go to many hot pot places, but when I do, I be sure to go to ones that are BYOB. I thought I was doomed because I forgot my bottle opener! Luckily, the staff had one I borrowed and I was able to enjoy Kim chee hot pot with a nice glass of Pinot noir. 5 stars just for that! Service was fast and unobtrusive, selection was great, and I like how they gently try to nudge you out the door by giving you dessert and I’m not even joking about that. This place gets busy and to respect everyone’s time, eat your food, talk a little story, eat your mochi ice cream and go. My only small gripe was that my friend and I got two types of hot pot(half beef half Kim chee) and we were charged for full servings of each. Next time we’ll just settle on one kine. I will be back!

My favorite hot pot place! My boyfriend and I have been coming here for pretty much our entire relationship: for Valentine’s Day, anniversaries, dates, just cus we’re hungry. We’ve had to wait half an hour at times since they get busy for dinner, but it’s totally worth it. We’ve tried most of their broths and our favorite ended up being the spicy broth. They have a good selection of noodles, veggies, and meats. The BF will normally order beef and from the refrigerator we’ll pull book choy, kamaboko, shrimp, udon, glass noodles, scallops, and enoki mushrooms. Our bill is normally right under $ 30. Also… free Bubbies mochi ice cream for dessert.

First timer & we had such amazing service by Thao. Greeted right away and she knew it was our first time. Even tho her english wasnt very good, she put in so much effort to explain how Hot Pot works. She was really sweet, and give us advice, told us «go shopping» for the vegetables and etc. She checked up to see how everything was, always mad sure our water was filled, how the brooth tatsed like. She was the sweetest and so friendly! Food wise was SUPER good. We got the beef and kimchi brooth. On top of that, she offered us FREE mochi icecream. This was BYFARTHEBESSSST servics I ever got from any other restaurants! Definitely will come back again :)

Awesome. Never have I tried broth meals, and it was outstanding. The waiter did a great job of explaining everything, and it was kinda cool to cook our own at the table. Kinda like fondue cooking, but better IMO.

Had a reservation for 6:15 pm and we walked into the restaurant around 6:10 the guy at the front desk said our table is running a little late and it would be another 10 – 15 minutes. So we decided to walk around for a little bit, came back to the restaurant at 6:20 and he tells us he called our name a couple of times so we had to wait longer. Maybe 5 mins after he comes out and asks us if our whole party is here(5) and we told him no, 2 more should be coming within 5 min. He said okay gave us a menu and started seating people who DIDNT have a reservation who walked in after we checked in. So we decided to talk to the guy and asked him if we could be seated at an open table and he said no, and he insisted that he seat us at a table on the side. They also sat a walk in party of 7 before us, and we had a reservation! What the fuck kinda business is this?! All in all terrible service, and DONTMAKE A RESERVATION! Because you won’t get seated at your reservation time. So its pretty much pointless. And to the guy that wouldn’t let us sit at a open table and made us wait, I hope the owner of your restaurant reads this and you get fired (We got sat at 6:45 pm)

I ate here the other night for the first time, and as a hot pot lover, I had a great time at Hot Pot Heaven! My friends and I ordered the Kim Chee soup(medium level of spicy). We grabbed bok choy, enoki mushrooms, chicken won tons, udon noodles, tofu, cow tongue, and beef. Everything tasted really great, but as it was getting towards the end, the soup got pretty spicy! But it was all so good that we kept on eating anyways. After our meal, we got three mochi ice cream: strawberry, chocolate, and pumpkin. The pumpkin one was packed with flavor and pretty surprising at first! So if you’re the adventurous one in the group, try this seasonal pumpkin mochi ice cream. I had a great time with my friends here and I think it’s convenient that you can make reservations here(unlike other hot pot places). I will be back again!

Hot Pot is located inside McCully shopping center opposite side of 7 eleven. Parking is plentiful if you get there before dinner rush. Hot Pot, what a cute name for shabu shabu. I have to say it’s hard to rate this place because I’m used to sweet home café. I tend to compare to places I like. At 5:30pm, this place was empty but close to 6pm, it was a full house with line. They have about several different types of soup. You can also get 2 of the soup for extra charge. I got chicken broth. It was ok. Sauce station wasn’t so elaborate like the other place I like. You couldn’t see half of the sauce because they’re in plastic bottles. All their dishes are self serve like sweet home café and charged by different color plates. One of my favorite was their cute, mini wonton. It’s child size. They do ask you to get one of the meat item. Yes, it’s mandatory. I can see that so their meat product moves. But what if you don’t eat meat? Hmmmm… Service was good. They came around to check on my table along with water. Their complimentary is mochi ice cream.

I love this place! The service is awesome and the food is delicious! You get to choose your broth, up to two, and then you get to choose what you want inside the broth. I love the mushroom broth because they actually have mushrooms in it versus the other broth where there is nothing. Our waiter always checked up on us and filled our waters. The only downside is the wait! Make sure to make a reservation so that you don’t have to wait because we made a reservation and got seated right away! I also love this place because they give us free mochi ice cream at the end! They also are able to split the check evenly between the group at the cash register so you don’t have to figure it out at the table and be worried about giving each other change and what not. I would give this place 5 stars because all my visits were good but when I was about to leave, I saw a roach on the floor.

This place is a really nice place if you’re going with a lot of people. I came here with 8 of my friends and we were seated at 830. I believe it is worth the wait and they’re always busy so I recommend calling ahead of time. If you’re going at nighttime good luck finding parking! There is small parking garage on the side of the building. The food taste amazing. Everything from veggies to meat they’re all tasteful. The staff is very nice and always checked up on us. Really good atmosphere I might come here again since I had a good first experience.

While I may not have entered heaven after eating at Hot Pot Heaven, I was pretty damn close to doing so. Located in a strip mall filled with a random assortment of establishments, one could easily walk past Hot Pot Heaven not realizing what they’re missing out on. There are only a couple of tables, so I can imagine the wait getting pretty long at peak hours. For a party of two, we only had to wait about 10 minutes. Once seated, you have the option of ordering one soup base, or a split pot of two different soup bases. I would suggest trying two different ones if it’s your first time. But if you want a solid Elite recommendation, go with the Thai soup base($ 5). Seriously, the best soup base I’ve ever tasted in all my years of gorging on hot pot! We also got the mushroom soup broth per our waiter’s recommendation. For $ 10, it already comes with an assortment of mushrooms. Not worth it, in my opinion, since the broth is bland. For all your other dishes, you simply head to the refrigerator and grab whatever dishes you want to add into your soup. Dishes are color-coded per price. The only items you order with your waiter are the meats. There’s only three: beef, beef tongue, and pork belly. My GOODNESS the pork belly was sooooooo good! Maybe it just went really well with the Thai broth… I don’t know but I ate two plates of those bad boys. I would also recommend getting a plate of shrimp if you’re going to get the Thai broth. At the back of the restaurant is a sauce station if you want to create your own sauce to dip your food in. Nothing special, and not needed if you’re getting the Thai broth. At the end of your meal, you get a free Mochi ice cream, which is refreshing after the meal that probably scalded your tongue at one point. Service isn’t the best. Just flag someone down if you need something. I would give this place 5 stars if it wasn’t for the high prices of each dish. $ 5.00 for a plate of mushrooms, which is the same price as a small plate of meat. I don’t find that reasonable at all considering they’re, well, mushrooms! However, everything else was excellent so I would still highly recommend you come check it out!

I’m more of a regular at Sweet Home Café but as usual the line is always long there and my friends had wanted a quicker place to have dinner where they serve non meat food items considering we’re practicing lent for no meat Fridays. My friends decided to have dinner here which was fine since it would be my first time trying this place out. It was a Friday and I had met my friends there around 8pm. We were seated quickly since they were waiting for me outside as there wasn’t no line. I assume they won’t seat people if not everyone in the party is not present. There were 3 of us that had dinner that night. We were greeted with a menu and water all around as we ordered our soup base. The waiter suggested several common choices that were popular. We decided to get the Thai Broth. Glad we went with that choice because it was pretty delish and flavorful! It’s different from any other type of soup broth I’ve tasted before and gave our food a little kick in the taste buds. They mentioned If you want to do a split broth, it’s half off the 2nd broth choice. The plate prices ranges from around $ 2.89 to $ 5.89 depending on the plate color. Pretty much help yourself to the refrigerator with what you want and put it in the broth pot. They offer different sauces to towards the back of the kitchen that can be used for dipping your food for enhance flavoring. Prices depends on how much you can eat, so prices for me was average. Rice is included if you request for it and complimentary mochi ice cream for dessert. The quality of service is really attentive and personable. They kept refilling our water and asking if everything was okay. The atmosphere is kept clean and there’s a bathroom for customers to use. There’s a stamp card program that they offer but we didn’t realize it til we left looking at the outside window. So if you become a frequent customer then it’ll probably be good to start a stamp card for some incentives. The one thing I’d hate about going to McCully in general is parking. I always have to circle around looking for parking and even though there’s a garage down below, the parking spaces are so tight and some people don’t know how to park and park on the lines leaving an extra parking space unavailable to park.

I’ve been here a handful of times and loved each experience there. I always get the seafood broth because it’s so delicious! I think that broth alone is $ 10. Once you decide on your broth, you basically decide on your vegetables and whatnot, so you choose how much – or how little – you want to spend. The pricing system is similar to that of Genki Sushi, where each plate color has a set dollar amount. With the broth, I usually order beef as well. In the refrigerated section – where you walk over and choose what you want – you’ll find many options. I usually go for the brown, thick noodles and then for my greens I get spinach etc. They have mushrooms, salmon, fishcake and so much more. Keep in mind that since you’re cooking the soup yourself, your clothing will most likely smell like food by the end of your meal. After your meal, they serve a complimentary Bubbies mochi ice cream for each person at your table. Parking at the McCully Shopping Center can be tricky because their lot is fairly tight. But there is more parking underneath. However, just be aware that I know of someone that got their car broken into while parked at this shopping center.(so hide your valuables) But overall, I just love this place – the experience, the food, the dessert, all of it :)

Wow I have never been to a hot pot restaurant where you pick your own ingredients from a self service fridge than having a waiter make mulitple trips with things you want since you never sure which vegetable or random thing you want to put in your hot pot. The service was quick for the fresh meat, and the prices weren’t wallet breaking. I would return here again!
