Located conveniently inside the IHG hotel. although only open on Tuesdays and only when the guests chefs are present, you cannot go wrong with the fresh fish dishes ask the chefs what the special dish is as it is always changing. There has been rumor from the chefs and some patrons of the chefs and some of the regulars of are talking about opening a diner on a boat called«On the Hook.»

Nestled on the lanai of The Tripler Crack Shack is one of Oahu’s best kept secrets! Only open on Tuesdays but one of the things I look forward to most each week. Prices are fantastic as the chef personally catches all the food he prepares so you don’t have to worry about«market prices,» each dish is expertly prepared and can by tailored to your individual taste. I’ve only tired Keefe’s secret love sauce once or twice, but I completely agree with Eric C: «TADIEFOR!.» Seating is very limited but they offer cocktail service on the lanai where, if you’re lucky, you can jump in the hammock overlooking Honolulu while you wait. Although there is AC, indoor accommodations are definitely lacking; when the trade winds are in town I wouldn’t even consider eating indoors. They offer complimentary wifi while you wait, but it is only available on the couch in the lobby and is barely capable of loading gmail. My favorite part however is the abundance of cats and the guests– who all seem to know each other– randomly breaking into song! If you can find this place(wrong address posted– only know about it bc I was brought by friends) you will have one of the best meals of your life! Try the fish tacos or poke. Caution: Not always suitable for children(the place next door has some shady stuff going on).

This place never fails to impress! It is consistently the experience of a lifetime and definitely the best restaurant on the island! The poke and fresh fried mahi are indescribably awesome. They completely melt in my mouth. I’m not really sure what’s in Keefe’s Secret Love Sauce, but it is delicious! It perfectly complements every dish, especially the fish tacos! The grilled rum pineapple sends tingles to my toes like Colbie Caillat’s song. That’s probably what the song is actually written about. Tonight I decided to branch out and try guest chef Houston’s Ho-bobs. What can I say? The beef calls to me(yes, that was a rhetorical question). The succulent mushrooms, crisp-grilled pineapple, and caramelized onion paired with the perfectly medium-rare beef left me aching for more. But I left completely satisfied. The ambiance of the restaurant is both relaxing and stimulating with a coveted hammock overlooking Honolulu and the ocean. Outdoor seating only. It’s a great place to go after a long day on the beach. And need I mention romance? I’ve only seen one proposal here, but by golly, it brought me to tears. The entire staff and restaurant got in on the gig and serenaded the bride-to-be with a traditional Hawaiian love song. The restaurant often has live music and many of the staff are a’ cappella trained. They are more than willing to oblige requests for love songs, classical island music, erotica, and of course, the occasional Metallica. Ukuleles required. Speaking of the staff, they are so friendly. They make me feel warm and welcomed both at the restaurant and at the after party. I have often woken up unmolested on the couch of one of the staff members as their complementary drinks left me unable to make the drive home. Thoroughly recommend! Must make a reservation well in advance!
