Bar is open now, but the grill closed. Bar television only gets one channel so we could not watch the world series game, because it was on another channel literally they get one channel only on the TV ! Went next door to the Hilton

We were looking for a quick bite while waiting for our room at the Ilikai and decided on the Ilikai Bar and Grill at the hotel. Ordered the Loco Moco and my husband had a burger. Fries were nice and crispy and the burger was medium-well. I opted for the Kalua pulled pork instead of the burger patty on my Loco Moco and I’m glad I did! Service was good and prices were reasonable for a hotel restaurant.

Do not go here, unless you really have no choice… Only redeeming quality is that the waitress was nice and quick with service(the place was semi packed at 1pm) Ordered the Loco Moco 3⁄5 Not so bad, but nothing special Chicken katsu 1⁄5 Taste is bland, and I can tell it wasn’t made fresh. It was crunchy on one side and soggy on the other side… Probably frozen, and just reheated. Hawaiian plate 3⁄5 Not so bad, but I’ve had better, even back in California at a chain restaurant… Pipikaulua po’ke salad 1⁄5 Do not order this… Portion is super small for $ 13… Overdressed in their sesame soy dressing, and salad is almost nonexistent. Beef was bland as well… The tastes of the food is average. Better off going somewhere else. If anything only come here if you need that quick drink at the bar or you’re starving after getting off a plane like me…

Get service, and decent food(wings were pretty great). I wish they had had more local beers on tap, but their mixed drinks were pretty good.

I had friends staying at this hotel so we frequented the bar before going out places… the staff was great and the drinks were fantastic. Food was also quite tasty. If your in the area check it out for a bite it will be worth it.

A whole regiment of our family stayed at Ilikai Hotel and Suites for our cousin’s wedding. It is only logical to sit down and have breakfast at the Ilikai Bar and Grill to plan out our entire day. I was going gaga over local food when I was in Hawaii so I only had a chance to taste their Loco Moco. I would say that their food is about mediocre. But with the spectacular views, and our good experience with the hotel, Ilikai Bar abd Grill gets 3 stars. The staff was friendly and fairly attentive to our needs.

The food here is mediocre but I loved the drinks & the environment of this outdoor restaurant. I would definitely suggest the mango daquiri. Super delicious. There was a man singing live on his guitar & I definitely enjoyed that & how the ambiance is very low key.

Came here for lunch because we had sometiem to kill before our check in. Upon arriving we were greeted by Rich. He was very friendly and made suggestions as to drinks as well as food options. After making our decision we order and didnt have to wait long. I ordered the Turkey Bacon Sandwich and my Girlfriend ordered the Pipikaula Salad. We were very pleased with the amount as well as the taste of the food. Rich was very tentative to use the whole time we were there and made sure everything was ok as well as attending to other patrons there. Food and drinks a reasonably priced and not over priced for the quality. The next day we returned for breakfast because it was suggested by Rich that we also try their breakfast. I ordered the Kalua Loco Moco which was really really good. My girlfriend ordered just a simple 2 eggs with bacon, portugues sausage, and potato. Even she agreed what I ordered was very good which was also suggested by Rich. All in all our overall experience here was excellent and look forward to be eating here again.

Decent place with decent food. We were in a rush and decided to stop here because it was close. I ordered a pepperoni pizza. It was a good size for one, or two if not very hungry. If it isn’t a frozen pizza, it sure does taste like one. Not necessarily bad unless you’re expecting a carefully prepared brick oven pizza, and it was good it a cheap way. I liked it. My friend had wings and a salad. He enjoyed the wings, and said he was surprised at the quality of the salad for it being so cheap. And the best thing about this place is… You guessed it, cheap! The staff was a little slow. Not to where you’d get upset slow, but just enough to make you start looking for them. And they were friendly and got the job done. Worth a try if you need something close.

I cannot complain because it is much less crowded and easy to reach out for a nice harbor scene. Haven’t try the food but the drinks are fantastic the way they look. I like the vibe in the area and will definitely come back! Thanks for the service!

I thought this place was absolutely horrid. The only reason I would ever come back would be if I was drinking only and just sitting at the bar. Only positive thing I can say is that they’re outside and have great views of the marina and sunset. We didn’t drink with dinner, just had soda and tea, and is probably why our waitress literally NEVER came back and asked if we wanted refills. All she did was sit at the bar and chat it up with other employees. I saw other patrons go up to her to get and pay their bill. I got some kind of weird salad with smoked beef who’s description sounded awesome, but the salad itself was very small and had the worst tasting meat I’ve ever had in it. The wife and I both got it and I think we both only ate 2 bites. The waitress, keeping with her theme for the evening, never asked if it was okay or not, just took the bowls away. We ordered the wings after she took those bowls away and those finally came out. They tasted better than the salad, but only a small smattering of sauce on them and were just okay. We waited forever, drinkless, for her to finally come back and give us our check. I finally had to flag her down for that. Then when she took the check and my card I think she was gone for 15 minutes before coming back. I could see her up at the bar chatting away with her friends. Do not recommend them in any way whatsoever.

The Ilikai Bar and Grill is located within the Ilikai Hotel towards the back near the marina. The open space has a nice atmosphere, complete with a full bar and views of the water. This however, is all that I can say good about this restaurant as everything else about it totally sucked. We had a condo in the Ilikai and after a day of hiking we didn’t want to go anywhere so we decided to just eat at the hotel. It was Monday Night Football and the bar was packed, but the restaurant had several open tables. It is a seat yourself kind of place, which is nice since we got a great view of the marina(and later the sunset), but is bad since it seemed to take our waitress about 10−15m to notice us. If this was the only fault in service I would let it slide, but we had the worst waitress ever. She was slow to bring drinks(and she never came back to give us refills or let us order more), she didn’t tell us about happy hour, we had to wait for menus and she practically disappeared for most of our meal(that isn’t true, she was at the bar sitting down chatting). And if the service doesn’t keep you away, then let me tell you about the food. We ordered wings(hot and like an Asian zing) and salads. The wings were incredibly greasy and didn’t have much sauce. The salads were, well weird. I wish I could tell you the name of the salad, but I can’t remember. Basically it was smoked beef(which was really cured beef), lettuce, a pineapple ring and like tomatoes and onions with like a sweet dressing. It sounded really good, but it was really just a bowl of weird cured meat with canned fruit and veggies, swimming in dressing. It was so gross I don’t think either my husband or I ate more than a few bites! I would not recommend the food. I would not recommend the service. I do think it has a great view, so maybe go for a drink?

Not a fan. At all. Before I give the reason for only one star, I have to say that our waitress, Jessica, was wonderful, despite the fact that she was serving the whole restaurant herself! The food: way overpriced and way mediocre. I was with y best friend’s family, and my best friend, his dad, and I ordered food with eggs, 3 eggs each. My 3 egg omelette looked like it had 2 eggs. Maybe. My friends dad had 3 eggs scrambled and burnt, and looked like he had maybe 1 egg, and it was still gooey. My friends mom and sister ordered the French toast, and had ordered a side of Portuguese sausage to share, which costs $ 3.95. I posted a picture of their plate, but it was literally 4 little slices of sausage — a $ 1 a slice?! Come on, it was the size of a sausage sample you get at Costco. I also ordered POG juice, which came in a 6 oz cup, and tasted like it came from a powder and had zero flavor. We all ordered water, and unanimously agreed that it tastes like bad tap water. Jessica was so nice and gave us a discount on our bill though.

This place was mediocre at best. You can tell the food is very diner-like and likely came frozen in a box prior to preparation. The service was a tad rushed but not terrible. I will say however, the buffalo wings were pretty good. My wife said the white rice was pretty bad, so beware of that… My Big Kahuna burger was good but nothing to brag about… Islands, a chain restaurant down the street makes a MUCH better meal… Head there :) Oh and by the way, the nachos that you see in the main picture of this establishment are no longer available… I was VERY disappointed when the waitress told me.

They close REALLY early for a bar… Around 10 pm on Thursday I think? A bit difficult to find in the Ilikai too, if you’re not staying there. Can’t say anything about the service, because we didn’t get any :(

A reasonable hotel bar, with reasonably good bar food(and some entrees) Nothing special, not a great atmosphere, but convenient and not a big rip-off the way some hotel bars are. I’d eat and drink there again if I was staying at the Ilikai, but wouldn’t go out of my way to visit. Most of the patrons are guests in the hotel.

Bomb, furikake ahi, blackened ahi, poke, sizzling steak, hapa salad, spinach dip. Came here with a groupon and came here in time for happy hour! $ 15% off their pupus, and their pupu’s are HUGE. Service was crazy slow – wasn’t busy at all and it took forever to get our menus, forever to order, then forever to get refills on water. Waitress was nice though. Food was not too shabby. Definitely get the poke, and the sizzling steak. The blackened ahi, salad, and spinach dip were pretty good too. I’d skip the bomb and furikake ahi though. The portions are really great – we split the above between 4 people and we were all full by the end of it. Kinda pricey though – our bill before the groupon was close to $ 80!

My family and I were staying at the Ilikai hotel, and on a lazy night we decided to have dinner here. Atmosphere: Indoor and outdoor seating. It wasn’t crowded at all. Food: Had a burger with bacon and bbq sauce(forgot what it was called). It honestly didn’t really taste like anything. The food I’d say is just mediocre, or maybe even less. Service: SLOW. They weren’t even busy, so it makes no sense. The table next to us had a person get up furiously and have to hand the check to the server. If you’re in a rush, don’t eat here. If you’re staying at the hotel and considering eating here, I’d say skip out and go out a block or two –there is a lot more to choose from.

Located on the bottom floor of the Ilikai Hotel, it is home to where Canoes used to be. The Ilikai has gone thru some changes over the years. First the owner, then the bank took it back, then it got sold to another investors. Ilikai is an interesting building. Its houses a hotel, timeshare and individual owners. The new owner is making some changes and have re-vamped the commercial area of the hotel. The entire building itself needs renovations but that will happen as the economy gets better. Ilikai Bar and Grill still services the patrons with an outside bar so you can enjoy great food and the beautiful sunsets in the afternoon. The views are endless from here as there is unobstructed views of the ocean, boat harbor, sun and more. Ive come to love this place since it has«live» music. Not many places there days you can go and sit, relax and enjoy live music. On Saturdays, you have Duncan who plays by request or his favorites. Its not crowded so you can bring some friends and actually have a conversation with friends without yelling. Parking is free and validated at the bar.
