Terrific collection, terrific staff, terrific owner, terrific location with plenty of parking. I spent a lot of time looking at their rugs online and onsite and looking at all the competition. There really isn’t competition for this quality, size, price, customer service, and style with a big selection in stock. Staff was extremely helpful. This biz center also has a few interesting shops and a tasty café.

I purchased 4 Hawaiian Rugs many years ago before having kids. I have had them for over a decade now and they are still in amazing condition and bring so much character to my home. Today I returned to the store with my two children in search of a little rug for my newly renovated bathroom. We received excellent service while making our selection and Mr. Indich entertained my children for a long time talking story about the myna birds in the store. My love for these rugs has been renewed and I will be back!

They have the most beautiful rugs. The quality is so wonderful. I am so happy with the Lau’e Fern Gold rug we purchased from Gwen. The owner, Bill Indich, was also so professional and accommodating. He extended the Labor Day sale prices until I flew into Honolulu for a family vacation. They were so responsive to my emails when I was considering to purchase one and sold me when he offered free shipping! I grew up in Hawaii until I left after graduating from college. It has been a long time since then. Every time I look at the rug, it reminds me of my Hawaiian heritage.

I went to the store the other day thinking about getting a carpet. I did see one that I wanted to get and I almost bought it. However, I was not too crazy about its service, so I decided not to make a rush decision and also took a look online to see what was available. I was so glad that I did. The carpets at Indich are pricy even with a discount. For the similar price(in fact less), you can find the same size, same material and name brand(such as Calvin Klein and more) online. On top of that, free shipping. I am so glad that I didn’t get it that day and definitely won’t go back again.

I didn’t visit Indich carpets for a long time because I thought everything would be really expensive and I knew if I saw carpets I liked, I’d end up buying them. Well, I was wrong about the prices. First of all, Indich carries a lot of affordable woven rugs(durries and sumacs) with great island themes and colors.(My comments on affordability take into account the 40% discount I received. There was supposedly a sale, but I suspect there is often a sale.) Since carpets featuring palm trees or pineapples or fish or turtles are not lifetime investments for most of us, it’s great to find these less expensive but beautiful rugs. Indich also carries knotted and needlepoint carpets at decent prices for the quality. If you’re not looking for palm trees, there are plenty of traditionally motifed South Asian and Chinese rugs, including some tribals. The store was wonderful about letting me leave a deposit and take a few rugs home to see what looked best. Indeed, this may be the best, least pressured, most honest service I’ve ever received at a rug store. The store at Gentry Design Center(on Nimitz) is the main store, but the store at Ward has the same items, just maybe not in every size.(They will order in what you need if it’s in another store.) Indich also has a warehouse store selling some rugs at deep discounts. That store is on Ala Moana(Nimitz) between Bethel and Nu’uanu. You should call one of the other stores for the address and hours. As for my fears of what would happen if I entered the store? I bought an 8×10 for the dining room, a 5×7 for the living room, and a 2×3 for the entry way. Maybe I need rehab.
