Came near the end of the promised appointment window. Super fast and polite service from Neal. It took him longer to write up the receipt than it did for him to change out the lock. Will use again!

Having so much fun at Kailua Beach State Park, we decided to end it by locking our keys in the trunk of our rental car. Fail. Called AAA, were told the locksmith estimated our issue to be $ 175 to resolve, (had to make a new key) and AAA would only cover $ 60. Perfect news for vacation. Song arrived in no time and was able to get into the car without a new key. He is professional, friendly and effective – the exact person you want to have on your side in an emergency. Cannot recommend this company any higher.

We recently had tenants vacate one of our rental units and did not surrender their keys. Security of the unit was compromised so we needed the locks changed. I called a few places before I settled with Jack Dalton Lock And Key.
When I made my appointment in the morning, the nice lady on the phone said we can get someone to you about noon but if he can get to you earlier i’ll give you a call. so I said ok, perfect.
While I was out running errands and getting supplies, I got a call from her saying they can get there earlier but I told her I was out running errands. She said no problem, just call them when I return. I got back about 12:30 and called them back. She said someone will be there at 2:00pm. The locksmith arrived promptly at 2:00pm.
He rekeyed 2 deadbolts and 2 entry locks and rekeyed them to match the master key. The mailbox key was swapped out as well. We had 4 extra keys made for the unit and two for the mailbox.
Everything was done at exactly 3:00pm at a cost of $ 159.00. This is the first time we had to rekey a unit so I was impressed how fast and efficient he was.
My first impression of Dalton Lock And Key is they are very accommodating with fast and friendly service at an affordable price.
I would recommend this place to anyone in need of a great locksmith.

First off, I remember this company from the 90s so they been around for awhile. I called after moving into my new place and locking myself out. After 20min from calling some asian guy came by real quick and got me in my apt… I got to admit he was quick with the locks as well. They were more than helpful. they even made me a set of keys for FREE! Hopefully I don’t have to call a locksmith anytime soon but I made the right choice and will be using these guys if I need a locksmith. Local company with some history is the only way to go.

They installed a Schlage BE 369 combination code style deadbolt on our rental unit in Kai Lani. They charged $ 161 to install the lock and re-​key the garage door to match the key to the front door. Our caretakers had to have them come back out and reinstall the lock a month later (our renter found that he could access the condo without any code at all!). They came out and admitted they had installed it incorrectly — but still charged our caretaker $ 94 to repair their mistake!
I wrote them a letter requesting a refund. The owner called me to follow up and a few weeks later he sent me a refund. I had originally rated them with one star but updated to four — because they did the right thing.
