Jack In The Box

These guys are great. Staff is very service oriented and definitely display a sense of urgency in taking orders. For such a small venue, the place is always packed, but the flow of traffic keeps going at a good pace. Excellent place for a 30min lunch break stop. Roderick at the counter is great at keeping orders organized and consistent.

I just witnessed something completely unacceptable. A customer (to be fair, he was being a bit snippy) was upset that there was bacon in his sandwich and that he wasn’t aware it came with bacon. The guy behind the register gave him the most unbelievable attitude I’ve ever seen. He was practically shouting at the guy. They were going back and forth and it was so awkward and you could tell everyone in the room was extremely uncomfortable with the situation. I’ve been in food service before and have experienced difficult customers all the time. The appropriate response would be to apologize and make it again. Not tell him how he should order next time and give him attitude. I was amazed management didn’t step in and at least apologize for such a rude customer experience. That kids needs to be fired.

i’m an addict — no other explanation. when i found out about the ala moana location, i did cartwheels because i was going all the way to ward ave. it’s very crowded however. –1 star for that

Needs some training in customer service. Workers dont look happy working there at all. The kitchen is big but only one person working in the back, two if you include the manager. The service is not the quickest and the line forms quickly. I ordered the chicken sandwich, must have cooked it in old oil and had a unsavory taste and smell. Meal cost me almost 10 bucks.
Was not satisfying at all. Seating area is small and not that clean at times.

I wish jack could improve their. tacos it was not good at all, everything else is ok the service is good but that taco needs help. this is the first time i tried it. if jack wanted to make a better taco than taco bell the could do it overnite.

I love Jack in Box! I always order the ultimate cheeseburger and the bacon potato cheese wedges! The food is always good. I also enjoy the breakfast jack meal. It comes with cheese, ham, egg on a bun with a hash brown and a drink. I love it because you can order breakfast, lunch and dinner at any time of the day because they are open 24hours.
But the location is kind of in a tight area of a busy intersection. There is not much parking and the drive thru cars are always blocking the customer parking. Every time I order food from the drive thru or if I’m ordering in it’s always a wait. The service was exceptionally slow and the workers were unprofessional. The prices are fair. For the amount of money you pay for the food you order is worth it. The cheeseburgers I have had here are just as good or better than the cheeseburgers they serve at nice elegant restaurants. The only downfall is the location and the service. But it won’t stop me from coming back. The food is exceptionally great.

Again cashier need more training and did not give the free taco and actually charge me.

Overall impression:
Slow service. Small. Generally clean. Some items are more expensive.
Only differences from other Jack in the Box establishments is that the place is relatively small (sort of more intimate setting if you like that kind of thing), some of the prices are slightly higher, and the service was exceptionally slow. I am not sure why they were so slow at this place, but it seemed like everyone was waiting for their food and the workers did not appear to be in any rush to get it out. In fact, they spent most of the time talking with each other about life, which to me, appeared very unprofessional.
Other than that, the food tasted about the same. I got the Monster Taco and a Breakfast Jack. Jack in the Box tacos are, to me, the best tasting thing ever created and if they weren’t so unhealthy, I would eat this every week.
Tip: Don’t ever get the Monster Taco. It’s the exact same thing as the two tacos, except slightly bigger, but you pay 2.29 for the Monster Taco compared to 1.00 for the two tacos.

They fail to put freaking straws in the drive thru orders is it really that hard seriously and the food was horrible

Nice place clean kinda small but nice location… Fries got sent out old and cold asked for a fresh one was given no problem.

We were walking by on our way back to our car and my husband had a sudden craving for an iced coffee. We went in and ordered it and I added on an oreo milkshake for myself.
The wait was about 10 minutes (there was an order before ours). When, we got our order, I noticed that my milkshake looked different. I told my husband, but he insisted that I try it first to confirm that it was indeed not an oreo shake. So I tried it just to appease him although I knew it was not right. Lo and behold I was right– it was a plain old chocolate shake and not the oreo shake that I had ordered (it was not to my liking btw… it tasted as if chocolate syrup was just blended with vanilla ice cream).
Anyway, I brought it back to the counter and told the girl that it was supposed to be an oreo shake. She then made a new shake for me and when I tried to return the wrong shake, she just said to keep it. I ended up giving it to our son who just wanted water.
Overall, although there was an order before us, the service was a bit slow just for two drinks (in my opinion). An apology would have been appreciated, but it was nice of the girl to let us keep the chocolate shake.

This is worst than opening day service with a manager on duty. No thanks.

Service is quick, food is disgusting. I ordered the 2 Tacos, and a drink. I put the bag on my lap and when I got home, I noticed a huge oil spot on my khaki jeans where the bag sat. One of the tacos were soaked in oil, so much that the entire bottom of the bag was almost transparent. Never ordering food from here again.

Just ate here. I found the customer service here actually pretty good. The girl who served me was super friendly and had a great attitude ! I was sitting there for a while after and overheard her talking to every person with such a great personality, asking everyone how their day is and that she hopes they enjoy their meal. I appreciate that. My receipt says that her name was Melinda. I’m so glad Ala Moana got jack in the box! Very random location though, I hope they move it closer to the food court.

Use to be Arby’s spot. Jack In The Box has taken over that spot. The interior very casual for fast food. The service was excellent. Cashier greeted with a smile and thank back for coming. Very sincere, hope that cashier gets a raise or promoted.
For a small place, they have a great customer service.

I was walking towards Macys — and a local looking like he is going to work is holding Jack in the Box– I think to myself– ohhh yeah I’ll go and get Jack if I need to eat in a hurry before going to work. And then I see that the NEW JITB opened up in the old Arbys spot– it was a coffee place, and barber, and even a beer place I think or that was a joke.
Food is all the normal food and the seating is so small that there are only a few small booths.
The opening day — there was like a manager so that he only let in a few people at a time so that it is not too over crowded but — after the rush of it being new– It should go back to normal.
Food is the same but nice to have more choices than just the overpriced MCD at Ala Moana.

I was fortunate enough to be invited to today’s soft opening of the newest location of Jack in the Box. Do you remember where Arby’s used to be in the Ala Moana Center? If so, then you also know where this Jack location is since its occupying the same space.
The restaurant feels very modern as far as fast food places go. They have large screens behind the cashier station that vividly display the menu. Everything is bright and well lit here.
The staff was very friendly and got my order out in a short period of time. My deli trio tasted as good today as it ever has. As far as the prices go, everything seems on par with every other location on the island. You won’t be finding any hiked up prices unlike other chains in the mall *cough* McDonald’s! *cough*
