James was AMAZING to work with from start to finish. He helped me reset my wedding ring into a custom masterpiece. I had a vision for my ring and he guided me through the design process in perfect balance. I live an ocean a part from him and it did not matter. He was trustworthy, had great communication and made the experience wonderful. I have waited for years to do this because I had no idea who I could trust. I cant stop raving about him to family and friends!

It honestly took me years to decide to finally do something to refresh my old jewelry… resetting some stones that have been sitting around for way too long. JB Helped me to reset my diamond into a necklace, It went very quick and easy. The pendant was just what I had in mind. Then on another project I had an idea for a unique design that included something that reflected nature. And with in a couple days JB provided a design concept that was perfect. Okay, so it goes like this… I first met Jim Friedman on a referral from a mutual friend and I met with him to discuss an idea for a custom ring for my girlfriend… I tried to explain what I wanted and POOF! Within two weeks, he had it done — way beyond any expectations I had. Just in time for her birthday. This was September 2010. Then she contacted him and had him make the exact replica for me for Valentine’s Day 2011. OOPS… I lost it in Lanikai last year and POOF! Within a week he had a replacement made for me. Yellow and white gold matching bands. We love them… he has also made a few Hawaiian heirloom bracelets for me for gifts, and has made two for my mom who lives in Arlington, Virginia. He has ALSO strung my favorite pearl on a choker every time I wear it out, and he strung a hand-​made glass tear-​drop for my girlfriend that she bought in Tokyo. I’d go to JB Friedman Designs for ANY and ALL jewelry needs… and I WILL! HE IS THE BESTEST!

I had a random loose stone, a peridot. James placed it in a custom silver band and I love it. Later I had to put a nice diamond in a new setting. He assisted me so easily with selling the old gold and giving me a nice platinum setting. He’s a great jeweler with custom designs too! I like how patient he is, knowledgeable and nice!
