Well, this is my first Unilocal review ever but let’s just say our experience was that awesome! Joe and his team were amazing at getting us through our very first home purchase. Trust me, it got pretty bumpy at times due to unforeseen circumstances but Joe remained confident that we would get through it and close on our dream house and he did just that! He was calm even when I wasn’t and held it together and honestly if it weren’t for his professionalism and expertise I don’t think it would have happened. Go see Joe at C2 Hawaii and I promise you will not regret it. I honestly cannot say enough great things about him!

We just bought our first house this year and used joe as our Morgage broker. He was able to get us a good low rate fast and we locked down on a loan we thought we could never get with the high cost of homes in Hawaii. He emailed both me and my husband daily informing us where we were in the loan process and what documents we needed to still submit. Joe was so organized that we were able to close on the house early than expected. Buying a new home in general is stressful, but joe made everything in the process go so smoothly which made us feel at ease. Thank you joe!

Using Mr. Schmitz was the best decision I made during our home buying process. I still don’t know how he managed to get me such a great interest rate while still paying all my closing costs. I really thought it was to good to be true and my wife and I were very skeptical. He was the third broker we went to and he managed to get us a 4% interest rate when everyone else could only do 4.35%. My credit score was just above 800 so I was eligible for the lowest possible rates available. The other two brokers also had me paying over 10k in closing costs. Joe called two weeks before we were going to close and said the rates dropped and lowered our rate to 3.875. When we closed we had the 3.875% and I paid zero closing costs. I even had several thousand dollars of incentive money left over that was applied to my principal the first month. I still do not understand how he managed to do it. The closing went perfectly and we had zero issues. Everything he promised came to fruition.

I don’t see how this transaction could have closed without his assistance and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to purchase or refinance real estate in Hawaii.

If you’re looking for an honest home loan broker who truly looks after his clients best interest then Joe is your man. I bought my home in 2005 at the peak of the market and was stuck with a ridiculous ⁸⁰⁄₂₀ loan. Joe took care of everything! He combined both my loans at the best interest rate available. Although we worked with another loan officer for our first home, we wanted to find a VA lending expert because of certain VA benefits that were attractive. A close friend recommended Joe and we decided to followed up. From our very first meeting we could tell that Joe conducts his business in a professional manner. In the end, we closed our loan before the deadline and everyone was happy.
