I liked how this park used to be years and years ago. I used to attend Royal elementary school and after school this would be the spot to hangout. However, it’s not the same anymore. Run down conditions, the homeless took over the restroom area and the up keeping for this particular area needs alot of work… ALOT!
The playground is damaged. Haven’t been maintained for what it looks to be quite sometime now.
The baseball field and tennis courts are still in top shape. They hold league games and practices at night. They also hold a dog show/​race here as well. I feel that this is the only area of the park that is up kept by the city.
As for parking, the lot is located behind the YMCA building on Pali st. There’s only a few amount of stalls here though. There is also street parking on Queen Emma st too.
