I thought this was the best ramen I ever ate in hawaii –ordered miso ramen. Although, my boyfriend said he couldn’t taste the kani in the broth.

This is one of the better ramen challengers at Shirokiya. As soon as I received my bowl of ramen I got a waft of crab aroma hitting me in the face. My #2 Kani miso ramen included all my favorite toppings like menma, kikurage & soft boiled egg. Did not care for the grated ginger so I promptly removed it from the bowl, no biggie. The noodles was cooked perfectly, nice & chewy. The soup is very rich & flavorful. I really didn’t taste the crab but it certainly gave the broth it’s deep & hearty flavor. Full of umami. Down to the last three spoonfuls of broth I got a hit of that yummy crab flavor again. Highly recommended before they leave.

Kani? Kani??? As soon as I heard kani broth, I knew I had to get here. I love ramen. I love crab too! You better get here fast since they’re here a limited times, August 11– September 8. They’re located in the Yataimura food court in Shirokiya. They are a bit pricey but well worth it. The ramen ranges from $ 9.80 to $ 15.95. They have 4 Main variations of broth: kani miso kani spicy miso kani shoyu kani miso dip I really wanted to try the kani miso dip but it said coming soon(when???). I settled for a kani miso ramen #3 with boiled eggs, 3 pieces chashu, green onions, bamboo shoots, kikurage, dried seaweed. The broth was really flavorful and I really enjoyed how everything went well together. The noodles were not anything special but the broth is what made it so yummy. Hope they get the miso dip variation before they leave! A bowl of noodles is a bowl of goodness!
