Kent K Hironaka, DDS

While eating something, my old filled molar cracked and left me with the real possibility of losing the tooth. I Googled for «CEREC DDS Honolulu» as I knew it needed a crown, and the Cad-​Cam Cerec machine is amazing! and Dr. Kent Hironaka was one of the top 2 on the list.
His well equipped office with the latest technology encouraged me, as I prefer scaling, panoramic x-​rays, and of course, Cerec.
So after discussing and explaining the procedures, he went to work removing the old mercury filling and removing the rot. I was seriously worried about losing this tooth due to fractures, age, etc, but through his knowledge & techniques, he saved it.
A lesser dentist could have over drilled or cracked it further. Then Dr. Hironaka used a camera wand to create a 3D model (with color/​textures) with which Cerec used to create an exact fitting cap for the remaining tooth structure. The material is color matched, then cut to 50 microns accuracy in 7 minutes! Then it is color baked to match my other teeth. Kent carefully preserved & protected the root, then placed the
fit. After the anesthetic wore off, i felt a little discomfort for a couple hours, took an aspirin, and as I am writing this have no pain at all.
All in all a very successful experience!
Dr. Hironaka is a consummate professional with high professional standards, up to date with the latest science & technology, considerate of his clients concerns and comfort while he is working, AND he is also a certified CERED instructor, so who better to get a Cerec crown or implant from!

Dr. Hironaka’s style is efficient and thorough. The dental hygienist (sorry, I forgot her name) is gentle on the gums and made friendly conversation, but not so much that it was annoying to answer with an open mouth. (:
They use up-​to-​date equipment to conduct x-​rays and consultations. Rather than taking twenty different x-​rays, they use a scanner that feels like a teleportation machine. It gets the job done in fifteen seconds instead of five minutes. I had fun using the video wand to see a real-​time tour of the inside of my mouth on the computer screen as they explained the condition of my teeth (which is very clean, I’m glad to report!).
I highly recommend Dr. Hironaka. Trust… he’ll take good care of you.
