A year ago, I had unfortunate late night visit to the hospital. Luckily we live close by. The hospital staff was super sweet, quick and knowledgeable and seemed to enjoy their jobs even at midnight. The hospital itself is older, but very much well maintained. The service was quick as it’s one if the smaller hospitals in the area so you can almost always count on getting the personal attention you need. Although I wouldn’t make Kuakini my primary health facility, I would object to returning for care if I needed to. I felt completely at ease and confident with the staff. Based on religious preference, I’ve chosen Castle medical for my primary care, but for those needed care, please visit Kuakini. They have great service and give you the attention you need.

I have had several visits to the Nuclear Medicine Department and with each visit, their employees have been nothing but awesome. Considering how frightened I was with the visit, they were very knowledgeable and kind as well as humorous. From what I understand, the crew has 20+ years there. Perhaps that is the chemistry that makes them so great. Thank you for helping me through a difficult time in my life!

About two years ago I went to a new doctor and she has just been lovely! She knows how difficult it is for me to swallow pills and she also understands the long process of waiting at the pharmacy. So one day she told me to go downstairs at the Lobby Area and get my prescriptions filled there. When I get to the counter they usually have only one pharmacy tech taking in the prescriptions and she is really nice and super friendly. She does the usual, ask for your picture ID, insurance card and if you’ve been here before. After I answer all those questions she then tells me to take a seat. The sitting area is an open area and lots of chairs to sit and wait. Unlike waiting at Walmart or Longs you have no choice but to walk around because there aren’t that many chairs to sit on. It usually takes 5 – 10 minutes for them to fill my prescription and I’m out of there, the pharmacy tech ask if I have any questions and if not then I am on my way. Before leaving they validate your parking ticket as well. I really enjoy this place because it is more intimate and it gives you a more relax area to wait for your drugs. Also another perk for going here is that they have a customer stamp card. The way it works is that for every prescription that you fill you get a stamp. I haven’t really filled mines yet because I hate taking pills! I would much rather take chewable or liquid that I can get from a drugstore. Yes I am still a baby!
